STUPID BOOTFACE....
Lisa.....you're going to do great....you really are...we will all be here to support you....have no fear ...your sisters are here ! xxx
-
I don't like the way your oc talks to you! Have some compassion...please! You can give the patient information in a better way than that! GEEZE!
Sue..you will be where I am...I promise you that. It will be next summer...you will be feeling good, and look back and think...wow..I made it, and I sometimes forget how bad it was. Really..you will.
I am on Tamox now. I have been for almost 2 months. I started my chemo back in March 07. Had 8 cycles. Finished at the end of August. I saw the radiologist and she sent my reports to her fellow doctors and they all agreed, since the mastectomy and no node involvement, and margins clear, no need for rads. I was so happy. So that is why I can get all this taken care of sooner than I thought.
-
Thanks Sue dear. I know my sisters here are my rocks. Sad, though, it will be hard for me to sit and type on my home pc. I don't have a laptop, so it will be a few weeks I am sure, before I will be able to talk to my girls here!
Who knows, maybe I will do better than I think..and I will be able to say hello. I could have my daughter type for me..haha.
-
Thats brilliant ...... you have really been through the mill....and since March too....you are an inspiration to me....and I will think of you when I am having a hard time with chemo....see March 07 doesnt seem that long ago to me.....but June 08 seems an age away...when in fact it is less time....
I just want all my energy levels back and my bones and muslces to heal and stop aching...my fingernails feel like they have been trapped in a door all day....its vile vile poison that stuff.....
The tiredness is the hardest...it is 6 hours since I got in from work and I still got my scarf around my neck and my uniform on .... I think I fell asleep lol xxx
-
Lisa ...yes we will be here...we will leave you messages...you can just use your eyes lol...we will know you are there....or just sign your name as X lol.... WE WILL GIVE YOU STRENGTH....I will be well in the summer...WE BOTH WILL xxx and we will feel a lot happier xxx
-
Come on Lisa
I talked to the girls in my hospital bed!
LOL The screen did hover above my bed...
I think the TRAP can only be done on one side. As I needed both sides doing it was a good option. Plus it gives a really good result.
Apparently the fluid will go on its own if they try and drain it it could introduce infection.
The worse part are the drains! I don't know if you will have them but they are a right pain (literally!)
You need to just know that you will be pretty uncomfortable for about 3-4 weeks but after that you feel better very quickly if there are no complications. Make sure you ask for ALL of the pain meds you can. I just zonked out for about 3 weeks. Lovely!
I have 3 pressys left to wrap.....
I'm going for it X
-
You should bring the boys to the South coast Sue in the summer next year...
I'll buy you lunch!
-
Go Poppy...3 to go...good for you!!
I wish I had the laptop...I would be messaging all of you in the hospital like Poppy! Oh...don't you worry, I will take advantage of any and all pain meds if I need them!
Sue, I remember the mouth hurting and the nails..and body..I do. It will be over, and when it is, you and I my dear have a date to go out and get wild!! haha! whooooooooooooo!!

Poppy .... I will so be down south in the summer......I love the entire south coast.... have stayed from south west to south east...lol...my boys love it too.... I am stuck up north
...with the rain and the pie shops lol.....
Lisa....I cant wait to travel and meet up....I tell ya ...we will paint the town red....and make up for all this bootface....xxx
-
Poppy .... you can wrap my pressies for me!! I have hidden them all and I bet it will take me an age to find them lol.... the sellotape will kill my nails...I cant even txty on my mobile or type without pain....and my feet are the same...
Right I am going to say goodnight to David and then maybe have a bath....I am having a right hot flash....I think its menopausal ...lol xxx
-
Yes Sue we will paint the town as red as your "ruby"slippers!! That's a promise!
I remember my feet used to bother me so much, especially at night in bed..hurt, hot. Fingers hurt, nails, broke..painful! See Sue, until you reminded me...I had forgoten...that will be u too...next summer!!
Give Kisses to those sweet boys of yours! Enjoy your bath.

Sue...I didn't notice...but I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Sue, silly goose, that was saying, Oh, you are lucky, in 2 years you can forget all about BOOTFACE!!!! See, just depends on how you look at it.
Well, I knew it would happen, my sweet little kitty runs when I go in the garage now. Twice a day drop meds and a sulphur bath does not endear you to kittens. She then comes around with just one funny little "erkk", funniest sound, then she sits on my lap and I love her and rub her chin and sing to her. She stays a while, but if I move, its like "Look out, the monster is after me again." Poor little thing, all alone in the garage, with just me coming in occasionally to torture her. Shoot, I hate this. She justs hates the sulphur bathe, and I can't even rinse her off.
Sighhh, why me lord?
Ah well, maybe someday she will forgive me! Hugs, to all, and a big, big hug and kisses for Sue and the boys.
Love you all, Shirlann

I am just wondering, did you have the BRCA genetic testing done and know for sure that it is genetic? I thought mine was genetic but it is not. It's hard to see your family suffer to death from cancer and then get it yourself. It is not necessarily genetic however. I saw a genetic counselor and had the test; I suppose it eases the mind a little.

Sue, It's nice to see you are feeling spunky and better. I lived in England when I was a tiny girl 4,5,6 and have such happy memories. My two brothers were even born in London! Anyway, I can almost hear your accent when I read your posts and it just makes me feel good.
Shirlann, I'll bet in some way your kitty knows that what you are doing is all because you care... and once you get through the quarantine you will have a loyal housemate.
Ulla, I hope you are feeling OK and just busy with the holidays. I am thinking of you.
I go to get a fill tomorrow at the PS and I'm bringing the office some chocolates. I am so grateful to them for helping me find a bit of hope through this. I am also bringing chocolates to my breast surgeon with a thank you... I don't know if people thank the doctors who remove their breasts, but if it weren't for all the time the doctors spent learning their skills I wouldn't have had a choice.
Anyway, I've never done this before so I hope it's received with the spirit it is given.
I wish I could send you all some chocolates too for just being so open here. I know I am not alone, and even though I feel bad that anyone has to deal with breast cancer, I am grateful for the companionship.

Poppy, sorry to hear about your sore tooth. As lisa asked, can you get in to your dentist?
I am having a slow day at work, went out for Christmas lunch with the department to a new seafood restaurant, got a message from my son (in Indonesia at the present time). Don't know if he got my Christmas package yet.
