Hi everyone. Someone from my chemo thread post this , and I think it is sooo very healing. I wanted to share it with you all. Especially you Sue.
Do you ever feel like you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death? During the tough times, it's easy to get to discouraged. I love what it says in the verse, "though I walk through..." No matter what you are facing today, know this: you are not alone, and you are just walking through. You don't have to stop and live in the tough times. They are only temporary. I encourage you today; don't allow fear to paralyze you in the middle of "the valley of the shadow of death." Remember, God is with you. He is walking beside you. He is strengthening you. He is making a way of escape for you. He is lining up people and situations to bring you out of that tough place into a place of strength and victory. Don't give up! Press on and walk through! Begin to get a vision of your life on the other side. See yourself more loving, more faithful, stronger and more blessed than ever before. As you keep moving forward and walking through, you will get to the other side and experience the victory God has in store for you!
"He is lining up people and situations to bring you out of that tough place into a place of strength and victory" That would be us , thank you very much , have a nice day!

Hi!!
I will probably drive home in the snow tomorrow night after work! I am glad I am off on Sunday! I hope the roads are ok by Monday, my daughter has an appointment in Colomubus for Joanne fabrics, and that is a 2 hr drive.
Stud muffin...hahaha..Melody!! NO WAY sweetie!! I will not be looking for any stud muffins for a long time!!
Karen, your little man is adorable!! Too funny with the wig on!!
Melody...I remember Santa's workshop. I think I may still have some "gifts" from those days!
Aahh...memories of when the girls were little!
I hope our dear Sue has been resting....she so needs it!
Hugs to all of my dear friends here!!
xoxo

I won't tell Chase that you guys all say he's cute. Whenever I tell him that, he says, "I know"--all matter-of-fact like! He really is a funny little character. His personality makes him even cuter.
I'm jealous that you guys are all expecting snow. Except that my dh's company Christmas party is tomorrow night and it's about an hour drive for us. I guess it wouldn't be much fun trying to get there in the snow. I've decided to wear one of my wigs even though the damn things itch like a bugger. I'm prepared to talk about cancer non-stop all evening. Do any of you get tired of everyone asking, "How ARE you?" with that very serious and concerned look on their face? I know they're just trying to be supportive and that they care, but GEEZ, I'd love to go a day without talking about damn BOOTFACE!!
How is our sweet Sue? It's not like to her to not check in, even when she's exhausted. I hope she just went straight to bed after work.
Love and hugs,
Karen
-
Karen...I understand how you feel when it comes to not wanting to talk about it. That is a normal feeling. But hopefully, after they find out, that you are doing well, and look well...the conversation will turn to something else.
Do you have more than one wig? Or is it just the one that Chase had on? I only had one...gosh it feels good to say "had"! Well...still have it..just not wearing it! I had blond hair, and got a darker colored wig. I am glad I did, cause I was so pale and washed out going through the tx's, I think the blonde would have washed be out.
Karen...have fun at your dh's party tomorrow...relax and enjoy!!
-
Hey Karen , Yes , Yes , YES , I hate the "how are you" in that tone , and when I say "good" then its followed by "no , I mean really , how are you" What is that!?! I have expect them to follow it with ," hows your breast" , can I see it !lol Oh well , try and have fun anyway!
-
Just wanted to note that the author of the post is Joel Osteen.
-
Well...not surprised on that one Melody. I listen to him on Sunday mornings. I find him very inspirational and comforting! Thanks!
-
Lisa , what is the appt. with Joanne Fabics for your daughter?
-
She used to do allot of modeling. Hasn't been called for a job in awhile. They called the other day, she went for a fitting in Cleveland at her agency, and they called today, to say she got the job. So she has to go down on Monday. Luckily another mom that we know, her daughter is going too, so she is going to take them. She lives in Richmond Hts, and I am going to meet her in Medina off of 71. She has to miss a day of school...but the money is really good! I have my party here that night, so it would have been impossible for me to take her. I was going to let her drive, but since she is only 16, I wanted someone to go with her. This other mother offered...thank goodness. I am very greatful for that.
-
HEEEYYYYY SUE-Bug, how is today? Hopefully, blessedly, a good day. But take em one at a time, honey, baby steps. You are done with TWO of them WHOOOPEEE!
Karen, your little boy is adorable, makes me sad for the old men mine have become! What happened to my little boys? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh
I read that post, realized my house was spotless, ready for surgery, my Christmas shopping was all done, and I was sitting on my large rear in the garage playing with Cleo. She is so adorable. I have to wrap her in a towel twice a day to give her the medicine. I wrapped her all up, she looked just like a tiny baby, I rocked her, and patted her and sang to her and the little angel started to PURR!!!! Now that is an unusual cat. I gave her the medicine from a dropper, (which she hates, of course), rocked her some more, and here comes the purr back. Now that is a special cat, and she hardly knows me. I can't wait to get her back in the house, she was having so much fun, I think she spent most of her life in a cage. She was enthralled with the shelves, the cupboards, behind the couch, and wonder of wonders, she obviously was playing with a pair of glasses Walt had lost under our bed (he bought new ones, of course), and she kicked them out. Now she is a hero. Can't wait to get her back in the house, she is so patient and sweet. Only two more sulphur baths, poor little thing.
Anyway, I decided to count my blessings, (most especially including Sue, and all you dear, sweet sisters) and enjoy Christmas.
Gentle hugs, Shirlann -
Shirlann.....that little kitty is so blessed to have you! She probably feels like Orphan Annie living with Daddy Warbucks (sp)!! The little orphan who came into a Wonderful life!! Speaking of a Wonderful Life..it's on NBC!!

Oh Lisa , what wonderful news! She definately is gorgeous and I am so excited for her. Thats so nice the other mom can take her. Yea , at 16 , I would feel better if someone went with her too. Have fun with your party!
-
Thanks Melody. It's more money in her account for college! I wish I could find something to make $100.00 an hour...I could use that kind of money!!
-
My Christmas miracle, I went to get all of my test results today, my scans were all OK the cancer has not spread. I start chemo right after Christmas, I hope that everyone has a very
Merry Christmas.
-
Hi everyone. I hope I remembered how to do this. This is a pic of my kitty Lilly.(hopefully)
-
Oh Diana , this is great news! Good luck to you with chemo. Have a very Merry Christmas , I'm sure you will!xxxx
-
Shirlann , you are our blessing! All year through. Cleo and we are so lucky to have you in our lives. You are one of the first "angels" that spoke to me with such kind and comforting words. I will always be grateful to you and for you Shirlann , just like Cleo! xxxx
-
That is so sweet... I can just picture you there with your swaddled kitty giving it drops and love... I LOVE cats (have three) and know you are bonding so well with your pet, in spite of all the meds and quarantine issues.
My kitties have been at my side (at my feet, on my bed, sitting on me, etc) since my diagnosis... They are a real comfort to me when I'm alone during the day.
My one kitty is a Himalayan named "Angel". She stays as close by as she can--I think she can tell when I need her close... If I'm crying in the night (from pain, etc) all the cats come to me...
Your cat is learning how much you care--and that is priceless... I hope you will have a more relaxing Christmas wherever you celebrate it....
Give that kitty a pet and chin scratch from me... I'm so glad you two found each other.
-
Melody, thank you for those inspiring words - I hope they bring comfort to those who are going through hard times. Your kitty is so cute! She looks as though she is really posing for the camera. What a great jack-a-lantern!
Lisa, great to hear that your beautiful daughter got that job. Good that she didn't have to drive by herself.
Shirlann, I loved hearing about your baby kitten, all swaddled up and purring! I think animals know when you are helping them when they are sick or injured and Cleo will love you all the more for the care you are giving her.
Mommy Mia - great to meet you! Oakville is certainly close - and the home of my favourite store - Whole Foods! (just a little bit obsessed with that place!) We were supposed to leave at 7am this am but our extended family here are such night owls - my niece just told me she has been awake all night (she's pregant) and her husband seemed to be awake until 2am - we will be lucky to leave by lunchtime at this rate - hope we don't run into bad weather on the way. We are now planning to come back Monday.
I hope we hear from Sue before I leave - I have been thinking about you dear girl and hoping you are resting and just having some time out. If I don't hear soon I will start to really worry about you. I'm praying you are starting to feel a bit better and looking after yourself. You are precious and much loved.
Much love to all and please everyone be safe in the leadup to Christmas.
Hugs,
gb

Diane...what great news for you! All the best as you start your chemo! Keep coming here...we will help you through it all.
Gb...thanks for your comments. Have a safe trip back! We are anticipating a huge snow storm for tonight and tomorrow!
Melody...I can't view pics on here at work, so I will check in at home to see your sweet Lilly!! Funny, that is what my middle daughter named her car! haha.
Sue....we miss you!! I do pray that everything is ok with you, and you are either resting or busy getting ready for Christmas. Perhaps you are busy visiting with your father. Maybe David and Daniel are keeping you busy. Please drop in quickly....I worry...
Merry Christmas...jingle bells!
