Philly get together

As long as you keep clear of September 22 (It's either Yom Kipper or Erev Yom Kipper), count me in.
Susie -
Hey buddies. Good to "see" many of you and read what's been going on the last month. Hugs to Beth and Cheryl for total, quick healing. I can never commit to a Saturday until November, but please Shelley or Beth, email me if a date is picked in case I'm home that weekend. We have a family party tomorrow, that's why I'm home now.
Miss you all and hope to see you sooner than later. -
I think waiting until September is a great idea Beth. And every time I see Legal Seafood I'm curious, so I'd love to try it.
The first Saturday in September is the holiday weekend so that's probably not a good one, either. Other than that I think I'm good!
Glad you're doing better, Beth. I think by September I may be back to normal. My new normal, but normal nonetheless.
Have you heard from Cheryl? -
I'm fine for September, too. Hopefully we can pick a date soon. Had my mammo a few weeks ago and everything was fine! Thank goodness. Next one is in Jan. I've been busy with our new puppy, Rylee. She's a little doll, but it's just like having a baby in the house. So much hard work. Hope everyone is feeling ok. Hugs!!
-
I haven't posted in a long time...hopefully this will work! I'm on for the next Philly get-together. I can do it pretty much anytime but willing to wait until September if that works for everyone else. By the way, I hit my 1-year anniversary in June! I'm down to my final six weeks of Herceptin and will soon be able to say my treatment regimen is at an end. Happy...but scary, too. It will have been 15 looooong months, including surgery, chemo, radiation, and herceptin infusions. All recent scans and tests look good. Life is great!
Marie -
Hey girls,
I'm still here. I haven't been here for sometime either. Ever since my diagnosis in February, my life seems to be one big chaotic mess. Yes I'm talking medically. Way too much is going on to write it all here. My post op complications and the bc are still a concern. All that said, please count me in for a Philly get together. You know if I'm not otherwise obligated I will be there.
I will explain my "disappearing act" when I see you all.
Love & Hugs,
Cheryl

I wold have an interest in a Philly area get-together with you great gals. I live on the Western Main Line. My e-mail addy is in my profile.
THANKS! -
I would be interested as well. You can email me here the email in my profile.
Joanne -
Any dates/places set yet?
-
I don't live in Philly anymore, but visit often. I'd love to be a part of the Philly get together - if you guys will have me
-
I may be interested but I live in Chester County
-
Okey Dokey, I have had all I can take of post-op comlications myself. Just to bring averyone up-to-date, I just had my left impalnt, LaVerne, removed because the staph infection was not clearing up. When the staph goes away, I will get either an expander put then implant or go right to the implant. I am feeling so much better but still running low-grade fevers.
Before we get to settign a date, who has talked to Nancycl? I heard on another thread she has mets? Is that right? Gotta call her and see how she is. I keep missing everyone in chat too.
So, if we are all up to it, September seems good. Legal Seafood is OK with me especially after getting good reviews from you all. Here is the list as it stands:

Beth, good to hear from you, even if just on here! sorry about Laverne...is Shirley behaving? I miss all of you too. Not planning to be home much in Sept on weekends, but please email me with date just in case. Lots of love and hugs all around, and Felicia, there's nothing we love more than welcoming new friends to our gatherings!!
-
Talking to Ishop1 on the phone right now and we would love to meet. Funny we are both away on the 22nd, but good any other time works for us. Just has to be easy to get to from Jersey.
Beth, the girls need to play together and not act up!! -
Look up a few posts, I added you guys in! I have not come up with a date for sure.
How does September 29 (Saturday) or 30th (Sunday) sound to everyone? Let me know. The weekend of the 22nd is not good for quite a few of us because of Yom Kippur.
PM or email me (bethpknits-pink@yahoo.com) with a preference and and the majority of votes will win. -
That weekend looks good for me!
-- Hillary -
That weekend works for me also.
-
I leave for Oregon for one week for business on Sunday, but I SHOULD be able to make it if we meet closer to the Jersey side so I can run if I need to and find my way home. xoxo
-
I am going to make it official....September 29th. I was going to leave it at King of Prussia mall but would you all consider going to Chili's or Houlihan's on City Avenue? It is also pretty central and easy to get to and a little closer for any Jersey gals to wade across the Delaware, LOL.
Any thoughts? As a small temptation, I am bringing Avon samples....... -
I'm game to go anywhere! Thanks for organizing this again, Beth. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
-
Chili's or Houlihans would work for me on the 29th.
-
Sept 29 at Chili's or Houlihan's works for me. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Hope everyone is doing well. Thank you, Beth, for organizing!
Marie -
Beth,
I got your message and the 29th or 30th is great, as well as either 2 of the restaurants. I'm going to CT tomorrow and will be back late Sunday. I'll give you a call.
Love, Sue -
Hi! One comment about the Chili's or Houlihan's on City Avenue. A huge new Target just opened on City Avenue, near those two restaurants. I haven't been around there since, but I can imagine that traffic has increased dramatically along that stretch of City Avenue, including the exit from the Schukyll Expressway.
-
OK, everyone give yourself some extra time to get to City Avenue. Hilary, thanks for the heads up! Whenever I went out that way, I always turned off at the Houlihan's and took the back roads out to Merion when I visited my grandmother.
So, I will flip a coin and see which it will be. Drum roll please*******Heads wins and it is Chili's on City Ave just north of Conshohocken State Road (someone correct me if I am wrong on directions). I have room in my car for at least 4 people if anyone from the Bux-Mont area needs a lift. Email, call or PM me.
So, Sept. 29th, noon, Chili's City Ave. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone! This has been a tough Spring and Summer for me and I was happy to hear how many of you are coming! This will be great! -
Hi Beth! Hope you're getting better each day. I have been so busy with my little girl Rylee. I won't be able to make it on the 29th. I am really bummed about that. We have an appt for the girls to be groomed. If, by some chance, they're finished by noon, I could then run out to City Line, but I wouldn't be there until about 1:30. The last time they were groomed, they weren't finished until 2:00. I could always play it by ear. I really would love to see everyone.
I can't change the grooming date because the groomer doesn't have too many Saturdays available. Stay well all. Love, Shelley -
Shelley, it won't be the same without you!!! But that just means that we need to make another date for lunch. I'm game if you are! Call me or email me and we can set up something nearer to us. I'm thinking somewhere in Montco closer to Dresher or Jenkintown area. So, October will be set at this meeting in September. And we can always grab coffee at Starbucks and take over their 2nd floor any old time, LOL!
-
Just wanted to wish everyone who celebrates a Happy New Year! I'm excited about our luncheon in two weeks!
Hugs,
Hillary -
Just bumping up as a reminder to anyone who lives in the S. Jersey/Philly metro area we are meeting this month.
Sat. Sept. 29th, Chili's, City Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA, 12 noon
See you there! Email me for more details if you need them,
Love and hugs,
Beth
-
Thanks for the heads-up on the Philly get-together Hillary.
Beth, please count me in. The only thing that could keep me away at this point is the after-effects of today's chemo infusion.
Looking forward to meeting everybody!
