We all spent the evening in the pool last night - think i may have swallowed the amount of water that Laura has to. How you are going to do it Laura , i dont know - you hardly look big enough!!
This holiday weekend here is a Bank Holiday - what is it classed as there??
We are playing family rounders at the park tonight with Scouts - how that will work i dont know - I cant catch , cant throw and cant hit it! Tomomrrow is Cats birthday party so we are taking her ffriends roller skating.IT is also Great Grandads birthday and we go visit. The kids are busy planning a cake - he will eat it whatever it tastes like bless him. Sunday is her birthday so we have open house for family to come up. Monday is a holiday too and Rog is off so we are planning to go into Sheffield to Weston Park museum and have a picnic if the weather stays nice.
Tracey - he is calling you in because he is scared he is going to lose you -(my opinion anyway) Hang out for more money and less hours!!
Cindy - one hurdle down - did you feel us all pushing you over it?? We are there to day with you. Its tight in there - wish Laura would get off my foot !! -
Cindy all the best in your first chemo treatment, we are behind you.
I might post more later, my older sister is in the hospital. She is okay but having some major mental health issues due to trauma that happened to her in her childhood that is just starting to surface now. So I dont know if I will be on tonight as I dont know what visiting hours are yet.
Everyone be well and I will check back in when I can.
Love to everyone
Michele -
Good Luck Today Cindy! Thinking of you!
Will post later... -
well done Cindy! we are behind you all the way.
Laura, whew, you must be relieved!
Amy, enjoy your party weekend!
Ravdeb, lol, strutting my stuff... hardly! Moving between couches more likely.
i am still enjoying my mum's cooking, which is a big help, since i still tire easily. I dont know if its post-op fatigue, lack of lat muscle on my back, or general lack of exercise, but my back gets really sore after a bit of walking. I miss my Pilates but its going to be a few more weeks before i can get back into it.
I can also really feel being back on Tamoxifen, with hot flashes and joint pains.. ugh.. the break was nice.
i also had a bit of a scare with one of my front incisions on a radiated side - it has a tiny hole in it. So today i panicked and went back to hospital but was told its ok. Its not actually a hole but a skin fold. Looking at all the scars is a bit upsetting, but i am trying to think positive and be patient.
love you girls,
Paula -
Paula...Rest and enjoy Mum's cooking! I'm sure it will take a while to get back your strength. I would ask the doctor about your back bothering you, though. If it's lack of exercise, maybe there is something you can do to keep the backache away while you are recuperating.
The hotflashes, Paula...you know what they are...Private Tropical Vacations! I have them without the tamoxifin and it drives me nuts. I know that it's hot outside and I'll be hot and then suddenly feel chilly and realize that was a hot flash that I had!
The cure for getting upset when looking at the scars is to stop looking at them. Although my mom used to say that to me (and my grandmother) when I was a little girl, there is some truth to it. Some women need to look at them all the time and get used to them that way. And some women need to take more time before looking. I don't know how much you can avoid it, but maybe you aren't ready to get a close look yet. So, yea...be patient. Positive will come later.
Michele..I'm so sorry about your sister. I hope she gets the care she needs so that she can return home.
Debbie..what are family rounders? We don't have Bank holidays like you do but I remember that when I was in London years back with my girlfriend. We happened to arrive there the day of a bank holiday and nothing was opened!
Laura...GOOD NEWS! I'm so happy to hear some good news!I had a hysteroscopy or whatever it is called. I hated it. That's when he suddenly said he was taking a biopsy. I was in a not very good position and afterwards realized that I had been on coumadin so I bled profusely. It was awful! He didn't even ask me what meds I was on. Nobody told me he'd be taking a biopsy. The gyne had sent me to him when she saw soemthing on the vaginal ultrasound.
Cindy...Have been thinking about you all day. I hope the first round went okay. I went dancing after my first round of chemo back in Oct 2005. I hope you are dancing, too.
I'm on my way out. I'm leading services tonight with guitar and tamborine. Wish me luck! -
Dont need to wish you luck dEB. I KNOW youll do a wonderful job because its just in you and you also work hard at it.
Ill be thinking about you all day today Cindy. This elephant sister seems to be always dragging behind but I really do care and have my trunk held high too.
Laura, good news about your tests. Ive been there, done that only my results werent the same as yours so was really praying all would be good for you.
Michele, I can also relate to your concern about your sister. My only sister has some serious issues in her life which I can do nothing about except love her.
TracySglad youre getting to go to the Ocean with Dave. You need to get away from the job stress. My plans for the holiday weekend include leaving tomorrow for San Francisco for a cousins daughters wedding on Sunday and then spending Monday with the cousins who will still be there. I leave on the red-eye flight at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday for NY via Minneapolis. Have my pre-op appointment on the 31st and my exchange surgery on June 4.
Debbie our holiday weekend (memorial day) is considered a legal holiday. When I was young it was on May 30 and that was our last day of school. All we did that day was get our report cards to find out if we were promoted to the next grade and were released. The rest of the day was spent with several of my parents friends and their children, usually in a park. Now its observed on the last Monday in May. According to my Google search it was started after the Civil War to commemorate those soldiers who fought in that war and then came to include all those who had fought and died in subsequent wars. Its also a day where we go to the cemetery and clean up around the stones and plant flowers.
It sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. I bought Catherine a card but proceeded to loose it, I thought on my desk. Yesterday I found it at my house so am going to send it off today. In the meantime wish her a happy day.
Victoriafull circle for you in many ways it looks like-happy to see wildflower backit was how I first remembered you. Hope your weekend in Santa Fe is fun and filled with joy. -
cindy..how are you doing? I keep checking back when I can.
Tracy..and Amy..enjoy your weekends by the beach.
Cathy, thank you. It went well. It was well received and on of the members, when she learned I was leading services (there was a mistake on the calender and that's why I was asked to lead) called members to come and support me, and they did! That was nice.
Oh good...time for dinner.
G'nite! -
Deb - family rounders is a game of rounders that all the families play. There was about 100 of us there.
I hit the ball - it soared up into the trees and i watched in dumstruck amazement. When i had realised that i had actually hit it , i ran towards first base as fast as i could. i suddenly realised that i wasnt 12 years old , but 35 with arimidex legs and proceeded to fall over (quite spectacularly - skidded on both knees then rolled up onto one shoulder then ended up flat on my back facing the wrong way) I only made it to first base - after i had fought my way through all the concerned players (many of whom are parents from my school - fantastic) I felt like i had swum the Atlantic!! After that, i hit the ball and Catherine ran for me.
I guess i cant see a major career change coming up soon.Unless of course my future lies as a speed skater?? Will find out tomorrow.
Paula - glad to know you are doing OK.
Deb - glad the service went well. The scouts are running the service on Sunday- i have instructions to bake muffins.
I have broken up for half term today - go back a week on Tuesday - thats one bonus of a school based job.
Debbie -
It was a really long day today, but I'm feeling pretty good. Got my blood drawn (through my new port!) at 8:30 a.m., saw the onc at 10 a.m. then started chemo at 12:30 p.m. Didn't get home until after 4 p.m. Sigh.
I was hooked up to the IV for more than an hour (getting drugs to prevent side effects) before they even started the chemo. Now it's 5:30 p.m. and no side effects so far!
I was a little hungry so I made some instant mashed potatoes with beef gravy and that tasted pretty good. I'm carrying a bucket with me around the house, just in case! LOL
Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes. I'm hanging in there, but it was emotionally trying to be back in the chemo lounge. Sigh. It's like I'm having to start over at square one. It's discouraging, but it *is* only four months. It will be good to see what kind of side effects I get, so I can plan around it.
I'll let you guys know how it's going. Thanks again for the elephant support. Today was a day I would have fallen down without it. I love you guys! -
I only have a minute but wanted to check in on Cindy. I was thinking about you all day. Glad you are doing well. You won't get sick, don't even think about it.
I probably won't be on much over the weekend so everyone have a good holiday. We are having a family picnic tomorrow and I'm not sure about the other two days. I am sure I will find a minute here or there to check in sometime. -
Cindy - good to head #1 is down.
Dont think about side effects, you might get none! -
Cindy - I'm here to check on you too.... Glad to hear you are doing good. ((hugs)) love ya!
-
Good Morning Cindy! I hope you had a restful night. I also hope the bucket served you like carrying an umbrella does. You know..if you carry the umbrella with you it won't rain. If you carry the bucket around with you, you'll be just fine.
And you WILL be just fine. You are a tough cookie. I love reading your posts with your new avatar. You have such a beautiful smile. Makes ME smile.
Be well.
Debbie..I laughed through your entire post! I can just picture you out there! Hope today you were safe while skating. Keep us posted.
Have a good Saturday everybody. -
Cheers for Cindy!!
OK - off skating soon - if i dont post soon , I am either in traction , or one of the kids i have taken is.
Debbie -
Debbie, I hope ypou are wearing a helmet and knee pads. Did you buy extra insurance??LOL.
Cindy one down, how many to go? You are not exactly starting over..this time you have the extra knowledge that recovery will happen and you WILL feel better. It was hard last time not knowing when
or if "normal life" would happen. You did get back to "normal" and you will again. Had you saved your headgear? Do you need anything at all? I would have made you something tastier than boxed mashed potatoes or is that your comfort food?
What holiday are you US folks celebrating? We had ours last week. The Queens Birthday, hate to celebrate that one as being of Scottish Highland descent, the British Royalty are not our most favourite people.
I am off to paddling this AM. It is a beautiful sunny day so should be nice. We paddled on Tuesday. And it was so cold,5C. There was a breeze too. I had to have soup and coffee to warm up afterwards. Our Festival is in mid july so we are working hard to get in shape for the race.
Yesterday,I assisted with a mastectomy on a 19 year old. Yes, 19!!!! It was soooooo sad. Her MOM was crying as they parted in the holding area. Her friggin breasts are not even fully matured yet. She has an unusual type od BC, angiosarcoma which is very aggressive. What a thing to face at that age.
Later today I will join my DH at the cottage. Ah peace..the older two refuse to go anymore. So far they jhave behaved well at home. They have the threat of our very involved housekeeper who may drop in at anytime to keep them in line. DD is 17 so capable of an overnight without us but you never know what she and her bevy of friends will cook up.
Great news on your biopsy results Laura, and I love the vision of you on the open road with your fresh new hair blowing in the breeze, all dressed in pink. I think we need a photo!
Mary, take care and get feeling better. Sometimes you seem to take on a lot for others, maybe you should focus on you.
Yeah Ravdeb, a little energy for you. Life is short, dance your heart out!
Fists up! -
Cindy, thinking about you this morning! Hugs, sister!
I'm so sorry I missed all the birthdays - so belated b-day wishes to all the birthday girls!!
I try to at least check in on the posts (can't say I was able to do that much this week) even when I don't post but I haven't even been able to get on the computer for more than 5 minutes this week!
The neighborhood pool opens today, it feels like summer...sort of...the weather isn't exactly cooperating but I can bet the kids won't care. As long as they don't get hypothermia!!
We had a sleep over last night (or is that an awake over, Mary Anne??) so, again, I've got to run.
Please know you're all on my heart and in my thoughts even if I'm not on here every day!!
Have a great day ladies!! -
Good Morning Sisters!
Its a beautiful sunny day here, although they are forecasting rain for overnight.
My dh worked hard up at the trailer and came home Thursday night exhausted. He told me this morning he is taking 2 vacation days for the time he is scheduled to work next week and going back up to work on the fence. That way when the pups and I come up on Friday everything will pretty well be finished, depending on how much he gets done I might take a vacation day on Friday.
I am getting my wild mane trimmed this morning but keeping the length, amazingly the curls are still here. It feels good to have to be getting so many trims, this time last year I was just finished chemo and didnt have much hair to call my own.
I visited my sister last night in the hospital, the mental health unit in that hospital is so awful and in the basement. I told my dh this morning its like they have to put the mentally ill in the basement so that they are far removed from society, they are just people like you and I, not right .
I bought her some dinner as the hospital food sucks and then we sat outside talking, it was nice as there was a nice breeze. I am not sure how long she will be in there and what the plan of action is to help her they put her on an anti psychotic med to calm her mind and she said she slept the entire night on Thursday. She said she feels doppy from the medication though.
This is the same hospital that I had all my chemo treatments, too many memories I would like to forget
I was tired last night after working all week and then left the hospital about 6:45 pm. and decided to quickly go and pick up a pair of new sandals. Its surprising how disoriented and confused I get now when I am tired. I seemed to wander around the store just to find the shoe section and then didnt spend very long in there to find a pair I liked. Crashed about an hour after getting home and didnt wake up until 8:30 this morning.
We have no showings scheduled yet for this weekend, probably a good thing as dh is on nights and is sleeping right now!
Cindy - #1 down hopefully the side effects are minimal. Hang in there sister, you can do this!
Tracyseattle be careful not to overdo the work load if you can help it. Rome wasnt created in a day! I do hope that you find something soon. It truly wears on you being in a job that causes too much stress. How did the meeting with your boss go?
My job is a lot of work but the work environment is super, my boss told me yesterday afternoon at 4:15 to pack up and go home and enjoy my weekend. Only 15 minutes early but says a lot that she appreciates me.
Enjoy your trip to the ocean!!
Kelly glad to hear that there was no damage from the earthquake
Deb that;s wonderful news that you are starting to get some of your energy back yah! Were you playing the guitar and tamborine at the services? Are you musically talented?
Amy enjoy your beach weekend with your family.
Laura negative biopsy results yes!
Debbie444 remember your helmet sister for those rollerskates. Your weekend sounds pretty busy and filled with fun and family---the best in my opinion! Happy Birthday to your great Grandad! How old is he?
Wish a Happy Birthday to your daughter!
Thankfully you have no broken bones from your Rounders came! I laugh everytime I read about the adventures in the life of Debbie from England ..hey you could right a book .should we start shopping for publishers yet?LOL
Victoria thanks for your kind thoughts. Did you get all your planting done?
Paula enjoy your mom;s cooking and hope that each day gets better for you.
Cathy enjoy the wedding!
Graycie enjoy your family picnic. We had our long weekend last weekend.
Maryanne that is really sad to hear about a 19 year old having a mast. It takes someone special to be a doctor and deal with different situations all the time. Enjoy the cottage, glad you get to escape there on the weekends.
A new normal is hard to find, some days I think I have done it and other days I question myself .thus this is the journey in the life of a breast cancer survivor.
Rosemarie your life always sounds crazy busy with those little ones of yours. Hope the weather cooperates so that they can enjoy the pool.
Have a great Saturday everyone.
Love Michele -
Wow, I'm feeling great this morning. Must be the steroids in the drip! LOL Luckily they didn't keep me up last night. I got a respectable 8 hours of sleep. Don't feel queasy at all yet this morning, so I'm holding off on the anti-nausea pills until needed. I think the side effects from the pills can sometimes be worse than what they fix!
I've got 12 weekly treatments, so only 11 more! Yikes, that sounds like a lot, but I get every fourth week off. I wonder if I could skip the weeks off if I'm feeling good and my blood counts are OK. I've been told that side effects are usually much less with weekly treatments, because the dosage is smaller. You still get the same amount per month, but it's easier on your body.
I'm sure the fatigue will accumulate, etc. And I'm almost certain to lose my hair. I've still got a bunch of hats from last time, but one of the ladies in my May group said she was going to get some Buffs, which none of us had ever heard of. They're kind of hard to describe, so I'll post a link of how you wear them. The blooper video is funny!

From this summer collection, I chose: Blue Sun, Kasba, and Xinland.

PS, last night, I only ate things that I wouldn't mind throwing up. That included boxed mashed potatoes, tapioca, toast, and warm jasmine rice with sugar and a little milk. Yum! The bucket's back in the closet! Yay!!!
-
Oh, Cindy, my thoughts are with you. Hope all is still going well and you are feeling okay. I join with everyone else in supporting you.
Debbie: your description of Rounders sounds like baseball and somewhere in my memory is the knowledge that this is the name the English call our national pasttime. My husband and I are very fond of the game. Actually, he is nuts about baseball and if he had knees that were free of arthritis would still be playing in an over-50-year-old league. Hope you have a very fun holiday with your family.
Laura: good news on the biposy. I have had those tests and procedures myself. I agree, owie, owie!! Before BC my major health concern were the GYN issues of fibroids and endometrial hyperplasia. The lining was too thick and I was not menstruating regularly so we had to keep doing biopsies to be sure nothing "bad" was happening. All along, "bad" was in my breast. <Sigh>
Tracy: hope your trip to the ocean is fun. Good luck on the employment front. My job has been awful lately so I sympathize with your struggles.
Kelly: Hope you and Teryn are enjoying a wonderful weekend with nothing shaking around you.
Brenda: Hello to you. Loved your Angus picture a few days ago. What a joy to have him. Also, impressed by your boys in the last picture. What a fine family.
Victoria: Sounds like a nice weekend for you. Will you be strong enough for another move? Wondering how you are physically feeling. So glad your loving family is close to you in spirit.
Rosemarie: I'm imagining you herding children about with a "Supermom" outfit. You are amazing and probably dead tired by now.
Cathy: Wish I could come and see you next week after the surgery. YOur daughter will be taking care of you, correct? Well, I know you are going to be happy to have it finally done. Good luck with everything!!!
Amy: I'm having withdrawl pains from trash TV. From the library, I checked out some silly, romantic comedy movies to watch over the weekend to prolong the romantic glow of "The Bachelor," but it didn't help much. Hope you are having the best weekend ever at the beach.
MaryAnne: oh, sad event to witness with the young girl. I hope she will be okay. I'm looking outside now and thinking of you paddling on the water. I live a block from the Erie Canal and when I walk along the path there are nearly always paddlers of some kind on the canal. In my town there is a boat house where the rowing teams from the high school keep their boats and practice. It's different than your dragon boats, but the closest thing I see in my piece of the world.
Tadah: what are you doing this weekend? There must be something fun going on.
Paula: glad to hear you are healing. It is hard to be patient and I sympathize. You are an active lady so the slow-down for you must be hard. I'm glad your mom is there for you.
Michelle: I keep imagining that when we meet you, you will inspire us all with your boundless energy. Hope the new hairdo is to your liking.
Graycie: Hello - are you enjoying the heat we have now in Western New York? I am, even though I do not like being sweaty. But, I like warmth. Have a great holiday.
Deb: glad you are feeling better and that your services went well. I would love to be close enough to come and worship with you at some time. I imagine the feeling and the spirit is very special.
----------------
I've tried to communicate with everyone. Hope I haven't inadvertently missed someone. I've been out of it, as I told you, for awhile now. If I did, please know I wish you well and happiness this weekend.
I had my doctor appointment this week and there was much to dicuss. Medically, some things are okay, some are not. I have diabetes, but have not managed it well in recent months and so test results are not good and I feel pretty guilty about that. Especially after all the trouble everyone took to help me survive cancer. I have a new glucose monitor, adjusted medications, and a stern warning from my doctor to help me repent and start to do better. It also seems that I have very low Vitamin D levels and this is the current explanation for the daily muscle cramps on my feet and legs. I wake almost every night with cramps and they are painful and distressing. I've tried alot of remedies (stretching, more water, wearing socks to keep warm, etc., etc.) but nothing prevents this. So, now I'm going to be taking supplements, and if that doesn't help, a stronger prescription for Vitamin D. I did not know this could happen. I eat a varied diet, with plenty of dairy, so I just never considerd I would have a vitamin deficiency. Finally, I am returning to taking an anti-depressant, which I have taken before, with good response. I expect it will help me.
Well, the sun is very bright and I would like to walk in it for awhile. Take care and have a lovely weekend everyone.
Mary -
Cindy..I'm so happy you are feeling good and woke up feeling great! YOU are great! Keep dancing the Feel Good waltz. We did a calculation with my bc nurse when I was told I'd get 12 weekly Taxol instead of dose dense. Although the doses were lower each week and thus easier on the body, in the end, you get MORE meds in you than if you did it dose dense. That made me feel better because I was so determined to get dose dense and they were too afraid to give it to me after my disaster with dd AC. Also..I wanted to tell you that my friend who is on a second round of chemo with carboplatin and Taxotere (she has mets and is triple neg like us) told me to tell you that the second time around is easier because you pretty much know what to expect, even if the se are not the same. She continues to ask about you.
Michele..yes, I played the guitar and tamborine at services. I used to play the guitar a lot. I also used to play the piano, the recorder, the dulcimer and the ukelele. When I was in college I used to perform in those hippy coffee houses and I'd pass a hat around and get chocolate bars, which was fine by me! I have used my instruments in my teaching as well. But haven't really been playing the guitar much in the last couple of years. I do use it when I lead servces, though. And I've now added the tamborine. Am thinking about adding small drums, too. I am crazy about instruments and want to make a collection of them.
RoseMarie..I agree..you are a supermom! You remind me of my cousin who is so involved with her kids all the time. I suppose I was, too, when my kids were young. You are so busy with them! Enjoy the pool. I used to take my kids to the pool from the day it opened til the day it closed. My kids are all swimmers. My middle son was diving into the deep end at age 2 with no life preserver on. He was a natural swimmer. We got him on a team when he was in grade school and although he was one of the best swimmers, he found it boring and quit. Basketball was his thing.
MaryAnne..that is HORRIBLE about that young 19 year old. Has it spread? Will she be able to get beautiful new breasts any size she wants so that she can be a young woman in the way that she wants? I'm so saddened by that.
Good luck in your boating. That is great! And yes..each day I feel more and more energetic. What a difference a little pill can make!
Mary...TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Don't feel guilty...just be well! I'm glad that they have you on a new dose and you will get your anti-depressants back. You will feel more chipper soon, I'm sure. Vitamin D..interesting..I will ask to have that checked at my next blood test. I get cramps in my legs and feet all the time. I've noticed that usually if I eat at least one banana a day, it helps. But maybe I need more vit D. If you ever get to Israel, I'll take you to meet my congregation
Debbie..where are you? Are you in one piece? Hope it was fun and everybody returned home whole. -
Well the summer is finally here! I did my closet change over and as usual, found stuff I forgot I had which is always pleasant.
I began packing for my trip next week and discovered that there's practically nothing to take! A couple of tankinis, sarongs, flip flops and some sleeping pills!!
I have some friends coming over for dinner tomorrow evening and I am at a loss for what to prepare. Watch me buy a rotisserie chicken from the supermarket!!
Nothing planned for the holiday on Monday. I may just empty my car trunk over at my storage unit. I have it packed with the winter clothes I took out of my closets. I'm saving my fun for St. Maarten.
Oh, and I'm getting my summer hair on Tuesday after work. Blonde! I can't wait. Being a redhead was cool but blondes definitely do have more fun!! I was a blonde about 2 years ago and boy, was I popular!! -
GIRLS -
I am totally swamped! Stopping in to say hi!
MEESHELL -
Gawd...I feel for you. And my heart goes out to your sister! Depression is the absolute worst disease! If I had to choose, I think I would choose bc over it! My sister has spent her life trying to overcome it. in there...remember they can't help it just as we couldn't help it. -
Cindy, just popping in to say I have been thinking about you. Sorry I am a bit late! You sound like you're hanging in there. Let's hope this is the last countdown of chemos for all of us!
Laura, glad you are still NED and healthy.
Love you all .....
Signed,
Working Fool -
Kelly..why did you sign yourself working fool? Are you overworking already? Try to take a rest and enjoy your pool and your daughter.
TracyNY...don't forget to send pictures of you in your summer hair color. That trip sounds like fun! All you need is your swimsuit. Love that kind of vacation. Have tons of fun! I know I don't need to tell you that. You live for it!
Be well everybody. Hope all are enjoying the long weekend..those who have one. We do not. Business as usual. I'm off to the beach and then to run chores and CLEAN UP THIS HOUSE! -
We have been working outside, here is a before picture..
These picture's are from last year as what it will eventually look like. -
Ok, feeling lots of pressure - - NO, not supermom by any means! Super-busy maybe!
Michele - so sorry about your sister. I'm glad you were able to bring her dinner and visit with her for a while! That is so hard!!
Cindy - I'm hoping you'll be waking up today feeling well again!! I liked that "Buff" website, btw!
Kelly - I ditto Deb! Don't work too hard!!!! Please take it easy!
Deb - you're amazing! I have this image of you in the hippy coffee shops now - sounds like such a fun part of your life!
Debbie - hope you're ok and hope you all had a blast! The mail won't run on Monday but Mark's pkg. should go out on Tuesday...finally!!
Victoria - will you be moving back to your old house?? Are any of the kids living in it right now? Wow!!
Laura - I hope your taking some time to relax too!! The Indy 500 is today and this place is crazy! I'm too ADD to follow racing!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and holiday - we'll be cooking out with our neighbors tomorrow (if the weather holds up!!) -
Gail - so nice! Love the pics!!
-
What a pretty garden, Graycie!!
Just a quick Sunday hello! I'm going to wander the supermarket aisles and try to figure out what to serve my guests!! -
Oh Gail...great garden. Okay..so you can come and fix up my garden and Tracy in NY can make new curtains for the windows and Victoria can paint pictures for the walls! There! That oughta do it!
TracyNY..hope you found something in the grocery aisles! I wander the internet first. I plug in different words and then it gives me ideas!
RoseMarie and Victoria.. yes...my days in the coffee houses were the BEST! I wandered from one to the other and auditioned. It was my dream in those days. I wrote poems of my dreams to be a famous singer. I knew all the performers that sang in these places and my friends were my followers! They'd write up advertisements for me. I absolutely loved it. Fell in love with every cute guy who performed..especially the one with the cowboy hat. Wonder what happened to him???
