Hey - isnt it Laura who goes to those sort of beaches?? LOL sorry Laura - you mentioned hedonism.
I really think it will be nothing Laura , but i understand how you must feel. Its at times like this i feel greatful for the english 'using a tractor to crack an acorn ' method of removing all nodes befpre even testing.
I really hope Rod gets the Charger , its the 'or similar' which worries me!! He will be driving - last time i drove about a mile , in a straight line somewhere in Genessee , shaking all the way - you guys have an important pedal missing!
I am now practising getting up off of the floor with Roger , i cant sit down there forever.
TraceyNY - have a good break. If you find a nice man for a holiday romance we need a picture. Shame you missed Cathy
Debbie -
I BOOKED MY FLIGHT!!!!!!!!! CHICAGO, HERE I COME.
I arrive on Thursday around 13:30 and leave on Sunday around 13:00. What was the name of the hotel again? Tracey Seattle I will book it, you usually do not have to pay util you check out.
Paula glad to hear you are happy with recon so far. I plan to get back after three weeks as my disability does not kick in until three months so lost work under that is no pay at all...gotta pay the bills.
Michelle I had to give away my first dog. She was very bossy and I am a softie. Hard to believe but all 9 ponds of her scared me. I hear she is quite content and still ruling the roost in her new home. I agve her away on Grading day. I was more upset than the kids. At the time I thought I failed her. Looking back though we just weren't matched. Hope you come to terms with this, you tried your best.
Rosemarie, I wish we could diagnose you more quickly. The worst is not knowing and letting your mind go down the scary path...try not to do that, you will need your wrist to pole dance.LOL. Nothing like a good bone scan to make things better. My hip took two months to feel OK.
I am going to try your salsa Tadah. I have had a mango/coriander/ onion one that was delicious. But black beans and mango would be pretty. I still wish we could have a kitchen party and hang out with some wine and good food. I know, I know so little time....
Cathy, are you getting recon in NYC? Why so far from home? When are you scheduled? Are you having Lat dorsi too?
My youngest had the tummy flu from hell .He vomited 15 times in 24 hours. Finally settled with a gravol suppository--he was not impressed with the delivery system but it worked. And great news, he has learned to puke on the great white telephone! Small leap I know but for the last 13 years he has never made it to the bathroom. Happy me.
Ravdeb, glad your son does not have to go in army til the Fall. A stress free summer now.
Cindy 2 down, 10 to go...Next week you will be one third through. I think of you daily and am hoping this chemo knocks the socks of any lurking cancer.
I finally hit my garden and yard this week. I thought my neighbors would kick me out if I didn't get the lawn mowed. The first mow is always hard, have to pick up all the branches and get through the thick stuff. Tomorrow I will fertilize. Next week some grass seed. The magnolia is so beautiful I will post a pic tomorrow.
My eldest was in the musical Grease at her high school. She palyed Frenchy, the "beauty school drop-out". They did an excellent job.
I am off to the cottage on Saturday. Our weather is warming but we are expecting frost tonight.
Fists up! -
Rosemarie: Try to stop worrying. It doesn't help to fret. I know it's easier said than done. I'm thinking good thoughts...
Laura: Don't overdo the working out!
Do I sound like a mother hen?
Pole dancing and nudist colonies? What did I get myself into? -
Just checking in to let you all know I'm doing fine and will have my second of 12 chemo treatments Friday morning. If they all follow the same pattern as the first one, I'll feel queasy/tired for a day or two and then feel fine.
We went for a bike ride yesterday, on my favorite trail. It wore me out a little more than usual, but nothing terrible. I was pretty proud of myself! And I wore my new cherry-red helmet.
I'm getting ready to go back to work part-time next week. I have to be seen by some doctor in Employee Health, to make sure I'm fit for work. Ha! I guess it's part of working for a big company. They have one-size-fits-all rules. Lots of Mayo employees (like nurses) need to be physically fit to do their jobs. I just sit at a desk, research stuff on the Web and write. As long as I can walk to and from the bus stop, I'm good. -
Cindy - YAY!!! You are doing great. I will be thinking of you tomorrow - just remember we will all be gathered around you...
Rosemarie and Laura - thinking of you too. I think we will always be a bit freaked when something is not right. I think you will both find out that the problems are totaly NOT cancer related - or maybe just an LE thing....
MaryAnne - I will try to book my flight times close to yours!
Well, ladies I am off to the Houseboats tomorrow! I bought a new digital camera tonight so maybe I will have some pics for you when I get back!
Have a good weekend everyone! -
RoseMarie and Laura...I hope that whatever is bugging you is some benign, not-important thing and will stop hurting!
Cindy...you are an inspiration to me! I can just see you in your cherry red helmet. I hope this 2nd chemo goes just as well as the first one. I'm thinking of you.
I had a bit of a scare today. I told my family doctor that although the fatigue is over (he was smiling)I still have this nagging shortness of breath. He checked my lungs and said they are clear and then sent me to the nurse to do an oxygen saturation test. The nurse looked at the numbers and shook her head and then the doctor walked in and she told him the number. He called me back to his office and sent me urgently for a chest x-ray. I was in a panic. I was going to ask for a chest x-ray but he said it was urgent. When I do the asking, i don't panic. When the doctor sends me for a test, panic sets in big time.
So, I had it done (no need for appt for x-rays). Had to drive to another town to do it. They told me it would be o the computer in 5 minutes. I called the office and nobody answered. It's a small office and Friday is a short day so the secy may have left already. But I wouldn't be able to get back there to see the doctor so I called my dh and he went in there and gave my doctor my cell number and he was to call me. He did call me.Several times. But my cell phone was on silent and by the time I realized that I couldn't get him on the phone. Then I noticed he left me a message that said to call him and he left his phone number. Not sure if it was the same number that he called on so I went back to check and the message was deleted!
I came home and looked it up myself on the computer. It appears that my chest x-ray was totally fine. Nothing was noted that was out of the ordinary.
Then I looked up oxygen saturation. My number was 95 and normal numbers are 97-99. But the more I read...95 can be normal, too.
At any rate, I'll be there on Sunday to see what it all means and if I need some other test.
Wouldn't my asthma show up on the chest x-ray? That's the only thing I can think this could be....
I read that when oxygen saturation goes down, cancer cells can survive, or they thrive on that..hmmmmmmmmmmm...not sure that is right, or if that should matter or if it means anything...
I will be at the hotel in August on Friday and not on Thurs. We should decide what time to meet on Friday. Then I'll be there to meet ya all. Are others coming in on Fri as well?
Have a good weekend everybody. -
hi ladies,
just dropping in to say hi, and to let you know that the biopsy of my good boob and my mastectomy scar came back with 'no sign of malignancy'.. yay!! aint those the most beautiful words..
Cindy, good luck with your chemo. You seem to be in high spirits girl! we are thinking of you.
Ravdeb, i hope you get some answer re your test result. I am sure its nothing though.
Everyone - hope all the health problems resolve fast!!
me - i am swinging between being happy with my recon results and worrying about assymetry and scarring. So i had some retail therapy and bought a pair of expensive boots.. whats a girl to do when faced with temptation? -
I'll also be at the hotel on Friday. That's the week my kids start back to school so I'll probably pull them a little early and take off.
Thanks for all the well wishes and words of encouragement. I'm feeling better emotionally today!
Deb - how scary - I think it's cool that you can get online at home and get your results, though. Hoping everything turns out ok.
Laura, hoping all is well your way too! I had lots of pain in my armpit initially but it's been ok for a while now. Can't remember when it stopped hurting!
Brenda - Lol!! Your school year should be winding down - are you counting down the days??
Cindy - Thinking about you this morning! (((hugs))) coming your way across the miles!
Paula - I know I didn't have the same procedure but my scars are slowly fading - hopefully yours will too! Retail therapy is always good!
TracyNy- I know you'll have a great time on your vacation!!
Amy - have fun too!! Happy anniversary!
MaryAnne - your poor guy! Kiersten runs around freaking out whenever she has to throw up and usually throws up everywhere BUT the toilet - I know what a GREAT accomplishment that is!!!
TracyS-have fun on the houseboat!!
ok, I'm off...
Have a wonderful day ladies!!!!!!!! -
Paula, I am the same as you .... worried about symmetry and also does yours move funny when you tighten the muscle? My incission spots are hurting again. Even tho I am not wearing an underwire, the sports bras are bothering my lifted breast.
TracyS--have fun on your Love Boat
TracyNY--you have fun no matter where you are, but have more than the usual fun!
Amy--have a blast on your trip with hubby.
Cindy--seems like you are hanging on pretty well this time. Keep up your spirits.
And Michelle, sorry about your dog.... -
OK Ladies! I'm IN!
I made my reservations! I arrive on Thursday the 23rd at 2:30pm. I leave on Sunday the 26th at 4:20pm!
YAY!!! Can't wait to meet all of you!
I did find that the availability of flights is getting limited - no problem getting there, but finding a good return flight was difficult. Also the Non Stop flights were impossible and more expensive that when I checked a month ago.....
Book your flights now! -
Yes...that's true. I was having a problem with my inside flights as well. There were not a lot of options. Can't wait to meet you and everybody, too!
Paula..what does that mean that you are worried about the reconstruction now. Are they different from what they were before? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I am naive in this area.
Kelly, the same with you? how maddening.
Have a good weekend, everybody. -
Debbie -
Yes, it's me...Hedonism is where I met the love of my life! But NO, we didn't meet on the nude beach - I was a total prude! Although we fooled around at the nude beach late at night when no one was around! LOL
ravdeb -
Do you use an inhaler?
Paula, Kelly -
Hope the kinks will work their way out...It's only been about a month for both of you. You've been through alot!
Mary-Anne, Tracy -
Glad you made your reservations! What time is 13:00 hours?
-------------------------
HI GIRLS!
I can't believe August is almost here! Time has flown since we first started talking about getting together. I am keeping a list of all of your arrivals and departures, so as you book, pm me or post with the details (including flight numbers/airline). As I mentioned previously, I will try to pick some of you up at the airport. It would be great if several of you arrived around the same time. Then I could go to each airline gate and load you in. LOL If 13:00 hours is around 3ish...then that means that Tracy and Mary-Anne would be landing around the same time on Thursday. Roy knows military time, so I can ask him.
I booked a suite for our pj party - remember...Roy gave us his Marriot Rewards, so we're set for Friday nights festivities.
Hope you all have a great weekend. I have been gardening like a crazy woman! IT'S A TON OF WORK! Calgon............ -
1300 hours is 1 o'clock. And actually I arrive at 12:29 but will have to do immigration I think, which can take an hour or so. I could get lunch and Tracy we could travel to the hotel together. Laura, don't feel you have to pick us up , that is so sweet of you.
Which Mariott is it? Anyone have their phone number? I would like to see Oprah, I wonder if she is taping that day?
OK 3/12 is 1/4 not 1/3, I was tired.
Rosemarie there is hope for Kiersten. Patrick is 13 now. This time I carefully explained that when he thinks he is going to be sick he is right and he should go to the bathroom and calll me. It worked. He is all better today and back to full speed ahead.
Ravdeb, if your finger was cold it could give a low O2 sat reading. And..95 is not too bad at all. Asthma would not show on an xray unless you were having a hard tome then it would show overinflation of the lungs. Your doc may send you for pulmonary function tests which more accurately assess your lung function if he feels there is a problem. This does NOT sound cancer related to me.
Both PS told me that they can not make identical twins of breasts but they can make them look like sisters. They say their goal is to have them look good in a bra. Ideally I want them to look good in the buff. I already look fine in a bra, the prosthesis looks and feels real.
Have a good weekend. Make your bookings.
Fists up! -
Kelly - yes!!! When i flex my muscles, my boobs pop up! Its creepy.
Ravdeb, before i had only an expander/implant post mastectomy and radiation in my bad - left- boob. I've now had bi-lat Lat Flap (tissue and muscles taken from my back) with proph mastectomy done on the right side. Well, my good (proph mast) boob is larger than my other (radiated) one, even though i have a bigger implant in my radiated side.
I am hoping its extra swelling post mastectomy. If not, i will have to change to a smaller implant, since i know i cant go bigger in my radiated boob.
Hope i didnt confuse you too much!
I know i cant expect perfect results after radiation, but i want them to be same in size, and as my PS implied, its a reasonable and achievable request.
love
Paula -
Yes! Over Christmas, I creeped out all my sisters by flexing my implant boob. Now I'll be able to do it in stereo! LOL
The PSs always talk about looking good in a bra, but frankly I've always hated bras because I needed such industrial strength ones. My goal is to never have to wear a bra again, even with C cups! Lord knows they won't jiggle! -
Paula..thanks for the info. I had radiation and "just in case", I like hearing about what you are all going through.
Cindy...I know that feeling of wanting no bra! Have been wearing one since 4th grade...I'm DD and the rest of my body is small. OMG...flexing boobs in stereo! How are you doing today?
MaryAnne..thanks. I also thought 95 wasn't so bad. I got panicked when I went to the x-ray thinking they'd find some tumor that is causing the problem. I've been for breathing tests and I think when I see him tomorrow or Monday I will ask him about a new asthma specialist as I had a bad experience with the previous one and refused to go back to him. There wasn't another one in our area in our HMO so I just relied on the family doctors.
Yesterday, by the way, when I was at the doctors office there was a guy there who I know who was there to complain to the doctor about how the doctor had made some mistakes with the prescriptions. He told me this doctor may know his medical things but his paperwork is a mess and he makes mistakes all the time. I didn't know that BUT when my daughter was with me in there once she said that she noticed on the computer that he had written that I had DCIS and not IDC. Interesting. I also know that the presc. he gave me for my asthma is the right presc with the wrong instructions. I know how to take my asthma meds since I've been doing that for 20 years. But, he is a new doctor who came while I was on chemo. I know that if I took the stuff the way he told me to, I'd have an asthma attack for sure as it's not enough puffs. When I would lessen the puffs I always had a problem. Interesting. yikes. He could get fired for this. The patient/neighbor asked the secy to go in with him to see the doctor about the mistake because he was really angry.
Laura..yes..I use inhalers. I have one that is preventative that I use daily and one for when there is an attack. I used that one yesterday to see if it would help and it didn't. It used to always help. I rarely use it so maybe it wasn't full enough. I will get a new prescription tomorrow. That's just it. I haven't had any breathing problems or coughing (my main symptom) from the asthma in years. Once they found the daily med for preventing it that worked for me, I haven't had a problem since because I have a fairly mild case of asthma. I never was concerned about it. I used to get bronchitis and pneumonia a lot when I first moved to Israel. I was diagnosed with asthma before I moved to Israel when I was pregnant with my second child. Doctor thought it was the pregnancy but when it didn't go away I was tested. Was also tested here in Israel with the same results exactly.
At any rate, since I haven't had this problem in so long, it concerned me. Darn this cancer anyway. I wouldn't have been that concerned had it not been for the bc!
MaryAnne..it's the Lincolnshire Marriot.
I'll arrive whenever I can meet somebody there on Fri and you won't all be prancing around somewhere!
Gotta go drink coffee and get to a Bar Mitzvah, my volunteer work is on a roll...
Have a good Saturday everybody. Cindy..hope you are feeling good today. -
We are aiming to be there Friday afternoon , we will be driving in from who knows where!!
Which inhalers do you have Deb?? If we come without some of ours we will just find you - I am the only non asthmatic in the house.
OK, we have turf coming today so gotta go
Debbie -
oh nice..turf!
I use ventoline for those breathless moments. Comes from England, I believe. Oh..I thought of you last night and today because there were 4 young, cute British boys who came into our congregation for services last night and one showed up this morning. They are on a leadership program with a group but the group at this point has separated and 4 of the kids were in our area. They are traveling throughout Israel and most of it is hiking, I think. But they are so cute! Long hair, tan, smiling. I love the kids in the youth programs (I think this could be college age) because they are so into our Movement and so idealistic. I was just like that then (still am, I guess). I know so few kids here who are involved (my kids are NOT) and so I always have such a good feeling when I see them. I spoke to the one who came this morning and he was asking me questions about our building that we are renting and what the scoop was with that (I'm sure they have a lovely building back in England like I had back in the States). But the fact that he spoke to me (possibly because my English was so good? ) was nice...He must be a "good boy"!
I was thinking today while I was driving (and before I almost had to get out of my car to tell a drunken kid to move his car so I could get by ..didn't realize he was drunk at first and then he almost caused an accident with my friend later on I heard...I had thought that he had parked and was getting out of the car. If I had known that he was going to continue driving after I drove away I would have called the police!)that we should set up a reception on Friday early evening, late afternoon where we will all meet in the lobby of the hotel. That way, whenever we arrive, we will at least know that we will be meeting together at some point. And we should have a plan of action for dinner on Fri. evening..where it will be and how we will get there since I have no idea what is around there...
Laura??? Can you help us out with that? We will need reservations since we have a crowd. I think we should organize the meals at least and then some activity on Saturday. There are a lot of us so it needs to be decided on so we can figure out if there is room for all of us wherever that is...
What do you think? -
A couple of pics from this AM. That is Annmarie with me she is on a November chemo thread and joined our team this year.
Fists up! -
Speaking of dragonboats, I just found out there's one in my town! So I may look into participating once I'm past chemo, etc. I think it would feel so empowering, to work together with other BC women and propel a big boat. There are lots of Norwegians in Minnesota and I'm part Swedish, so maybe all that Viking blood will rise up in us!
-
Go Cindy !!! You would prob be a lot safer than me doing it!!
Deb - are you having trouble with your asthma becuse you only take a reliever and not a preventative?? Both Catherine and Mark use the one you have , but they use others as well. We have Beccotide , Flixotide and serevent between them as well.
Maryanne - they are lovely pictures, look how blue th ewater is - its like being on the Med!
Cathy - thanks for sorting me out!!
Debbie -
MaryAnne...I love the pictures. I think I would like that. Wish they had that here. Sounds like it's very empowering.
Cindy..go for it! You can wear your cherry-red helmet! How are you feeling???
Debbie..I was just at my doctor. I do take a preventative called Budicort besides the ventoline which I rarely take. I take 2 puffs twice a day of the Budicort (which I believe is like the Beccotide..not sure..Budicort is the Israeli one). My doctor told me to take 3 puffs twice a day and see if that helps.
Also...the nurse did another oxygen saturation test and it was 98. The doctor said maybe the mechanism wasn't right before. He also said that there was no reason for the number to be low as my chest x-ray was fine. My lungs were listened to as well today and they are clear.
MaryAnne..do you feel that you can hear what you need to hear in an asthma patient via stethescope? I ask this because I had a different family doctor prior to chemo (he had a stroke and I have no idea where he is now)and now we have this new one who I like better. But the other one wouldn't hear anything in my lungs and when I went to a specialist, the guy would tell me I was in the midst of an asthma attack. My situation then was much worse. In fact..I'm not positive this asthma. I can't explain it but it's not like my asthma was...
I should see a specialist. At any rate, he told me to come back to him after the 3 puffs twice a day trial. I will then ask him about a specialist if this doesn't work.
Otherwise all is well! It's a new day and I'm off to the beach.
Have a good Sunday, everybody. -
Here's an Elephant Story for you all:
This story can really get to you - a heart tugger:
In 1986, Mkele Mbembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Mbembe approached it very carefully.
He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Mbembe worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and stared at him for several tense moments.
Mbembe stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Mbembe never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.
Twenty years later, Mbembe was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenage son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Mbembe and his son Tapu were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Mbembe,
lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.
Remembering the encounter in 1986, Mbembe couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Mbembe summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Mbembe's legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly.
Probably wasn't the same elephant. -
OMG! You've got a wicked sense of humor!!! (Matches mine!) LOL
-
BTW, I'm feeling really good. I'm more tired than usual, of course, with a little acid reflux, but that's about it, so far. In fact, if things continue to go so well, I'm going to ask my onc if I can skip at least some of the rest weeks so I can get done earlier. We'll see what she says.
-
Cindy, that is wonderful you are feelng OK. It is awesome to be in the boat with survivors. One lady is 67, many have survived many years, which is so comforting.
Ravdeb, our team started 6 years ago with a small group saying WHY NOT? They looked for sponsors and within the year had a boat. They have traveled across Canada to Vancouver to compete in a large Festival which I think had 50 teams of survivors from around the world. I wonder if there are any Israelis dragon boating? Most teams are not BC survivors just people who enjoy paddling and competing.
Ravdeb when someone is having an asthma attack bad enough to make them SOB and cough., I often can here the wheezing. When it is very bad I can here wheezing on the in and out of breathing. If asthma is severe the chest becomes quiet as little air is moving. Xrays are not very useful in asthma but they rule out other causes. Glad your sat was better. I bet you just had a cold finger. Have you been walking? You may be getting deconditioned. It is not a bad thought to see the specialist as you have been tired for a while now.
I planted my herbs and a flower bed at the cottage. It is risky as we can still have frost for the next two weeks. The leaves are finally out. Everything looks so fresh.
Cindy, are you on a PPI? I couldn't do without them and also had to chew a lot of Tums. Don't forget your laxatives...
Quiet on our board this weekend, isn't it?
Fists up! -
Haven't had time to read but I noticed your pic MaryAnne ... your HAIR is so beautiful!!!!
-
How are things,K? My hair is wild and wooly, really. Each day I either love or hate it, had a good one today. It is over a year now so I would expect it to straighten soon...maybe it is only curly at the ends, did your curl at all? How are you doing off the Herceptin? I missed the chemo room and girls a little at first. I had to see onc this week, had a good checkup. He noted it is a year since rads ended and said it was an important milestone.
have you had your RV on the road? Too many questions? LOL.
Fists up! -
Good Evening My Dear Sisters .
I have changed my screen name to CurlyLocks as Scooby is now gone and it hurts too much to be reminded about her everyday. My dh took her to her interim home on Thursday, he was a mess Thursday night when I came home as we were getting our stuff packed up for the trailer he broke down and said he still didnt want to give her up despite her aggressiveness. He said on the way home he was going to turn around and go back and get her but knew in his heart we are doing the right thing for her.
The weekend was pretty tough not having her around and tonight when we came home the crate was put away and I threw out her little bed that she used to love. We called the breeder to see how she was doing and she said that she did have aggressiveness towards other dogs and they were working on introducing her to other dogs in the kennel a little at a time, as well as a little bit of a dominance issue. Once her training is complete she will be placed in a pet home as the breeder said she is too submissive to be a working dog. My dh keeps flipping back and forth to taking her back once the training is complete but he said it would break his heart to have to give her up again if it didnt work out so we decided to let the breeder place her in a new home.
I had an awful scare last week in finding a small pea size lump under my right arm, right in my armpit. I discovered it when I was trying on my new top for work, showed my dh and he freaked just like me. I had the denial thing going on Thursday at work, told my boss about it and she told me I should get it checked out. Finally .at the end of the day I called my GP hoping to get in for an appt. The doctor on call waited to see me as my GP is wonderful and has a note on my file to say squeeze me in. I got to the office and it was just like the day I found my lump almost 2 years ago, the awful memories came back to me. I couldnt sit and wait to be called as I started to break down out of fear while sitting there so the nurses assistant put me in the office to wait. I sat there balling my eyes out waiting for the doctor to come in. She did a through exam on both my breasts and said that the lump did not feel like a cancerous growth and she was almost 100% certain it was a subceous cyst. She is making an appt with a plastic surgeon and I will have it removed under a local and it will be sent away for pathlogy due to my bc history.
We had warm weather this weekend but the mosquitos almost carried us away.LOL. I have so many bites, my left ankle is one big mass of bites.
Saw some fire flies this weekend, they were so awesome, have never seen them before. We also sat around our neighbours campfire while someone played a guitar and I drank vodka coolers, I had two the one night and was pleasantly tipsy, ha haJ
We had two showings this weekend, one was our agent showing the house and then another one. It was nice not being here to deal with the stress but being at the trailer.
Same comments .stairs too steep .argh. I told my dh we are going to take an axe to them and make them less steep
My Chicago flight arrives at 9:15 p.m. on the 23rd and departs at 15:45 on the 26th.
Debbie444 did you hear anything from Jill?
How about renting a big Hummer in Chicago you would have lots of room for the kids and anything you buy!
Deb thanks for the comfort. I do not usually snore to answer your question, my dh does though.LOL. Thats why I wear earplugs .
I cant wait until we get together, its already June 3, so it will be here before we know it.
Tahdah your mango vingerette salad sounds yummy, so does the desert for that matter! Have a wonderful trip in the sunny south!
Tracyseattle We do know that the breeder loves all of her dogs and wants to ensure that they go to good homes, which makes us feel better about the whole situation.
Pole dancing does not sound like something this body could do, I would get down and not be able to get back up.LOL.
How was your House Boat Weekend? If the weather was as nice as it was here, it would have been wonderful.
Looking forward to the pics of the weekend.
Laura glad to hear that one of us is getting in some exercise. The shoveling is probably causing the pain in your arm but it is best to get it checked out for your own peace of mind.
I will pm my flight info tomorrow.
Rosemarie glad to hear that you dont have a blood clot, but now have to do further testing. It is so frustrating at times and when the fear sets in it is unrelenting
Are you driving to Chicago? How far is Indiana fromChicago? Sorry my geographic skills are not my best asset, thats why my dh bought me a GPS for my car so I never get lost again.LOL.
Cathy when are you and Tracy meeting for lunch?
Gracyie congrats on loosing 4 pounds. I havent weighed my self in quite awhile but my clothes still fit and someone commented at work that I looked like I have lost weight?
Have been too busy to notice
Maryanne you chose the right words for the puppy situation, we feel like we have failed her and it hurt like hell to give her up but we know we did the right thing in the long run for her.
OMG frost in June! It was really quite humid at the trailer this weekend and sunny as well.
Cindy good for you, two down now. I am glad that you are tolerating this chemo well and even got to wear your cherry red helmet again. I admire you for being able to work part time through chemo.
Paula yes, those are great words, no sign of malignancy!
Kelly thanks.
Amy hope you are having a great 2nd honeymoon!
Where is Victoria?
Love you all, getting tired have to get to bed .
Michele -
Michele-missed my lunch with Tracy because even though I had called the ps office the day before and had written 9:15 down I immediately translated it to my head as 2:15 so when they called me at 11:00 and said to come right in I knew I wasn't going to make lunch. I'll still be here when she gets back so will try to reschedule for next week.
Mary-Anne-I love your pictures. The reason I'm having my reconstruction at SKM is that that's where I had my mastectomy after two lumpectomies in Fargo w/o clear margins. My bc surgeon was going on maternity leave and she knew my daughter lived in NY and refered me to MSK. I have the head of ps who does not have the best bedside manner but he's really good and that's what counts.
My surgery is scheduled for 9:00 tomorrow morning and I have to be there at 7:30. Am taking self to hospitol and dd is bringing me home.
Cindy so glad to hear things are going so well for you. I thought about you all Friday.
Michele sorry I called Scooby a him. I always call my male cat "her"
It's been hard getting on the computer here because it's somewhat of a wild house until the gks go to bed and on the weekend Mom and Dad let them rule the roost.
Will check in tomorrow when I get back.
Hope you all had a great weekend.
Much Love
