I made a quick stop at TJ Maxx yesterday and as I was buzzing through the store, I glanced over at a shelf of patriotic decor. With so many current events on my mind, for a minute the ‘fragile, handle with care’ tag registered in my mind as an intentional part of this sign. It’s not, but maybe it should be. I had to stop and take a picture of it.

Massive Protest Rocks The Supreme Court For Second Day After Roe Is Overturned
The protesters aren't going away and their numbers seem to be growing on the second day after the Supreme Court overturned Roe.
Read on » -
The protests have to turn into a commitment to VOTE in every election, become politically active, and get every like-minded person you know to do the same.
*plus keep protesting, keep the heat on.....

*along with this, several of my younger friends who live in states where abortion will continue to be legal have offered on social media to open their homes to women who need a place to stay for a few days, no questions asked. There seems to be a semi-underground network being formed of women helping women.
-
Colorado passed a Reproductive Health Equity Act back in April to codify abortion as a protected health option.

Good for Colorado.

Success has a great deal more to do with being than gaining. Whatever
we gain can be taken away from us by those who give it to us or those
who take it away. But real success rests on what we become
that is not given to us by anyone but ourselves.

To love very much is to love inadequately; we love--that is all.
Love cannot be modified without being nullified.
Love is a short word but it contains everything. Love means the
body, the soul, the life, the entire being. We feel love as we feel
the warmth of our blood, we breathe love as we breathe the air,
we hold it in ourselves as we hold our thoughts. Nothing more
exists for us. Love is not a word; it is a wordless state
indicated by four letters.

Now, can we all see that NO Republican can be trusted, ever. Not even thouse who are supposed ti be above ALL reproach. I do know that it is the last three judges who have up-ended things. I guess on the one hand we can be thrilled that they are in a hurry to take us all over. I also think that is the thing that will work in our favor. We need to expand Senate seats -- not lose any and add more so as to nullify Manchin and Sinema -- so two more is enough.
We could then put more judges on the court to nullify the last three mind-bending over-achievers that will take us back to the dark ages. Also do more about guns so more reasonable, sane and decent people stay alive. We could also work to rid our government of as many extremists ( no matter what affiliation ) as possible and have more there that take their oath of office seriously. We can return to being a role model for democracy.

To me this says that I, or for that matter, anyone was born on this earth to be the one who is judge. There is ( if you believe or even if you don't ) only one who can judge for others. We were not put on this earth for that. We learn well, hopefully the learning makes us far better, but we only judge ourselves. We are here to learn and grow and be good caretakers of the EARTH so that those coming after us will have the best opportunities to learn and grow as well. The learning is not to judge people, but to be able at the appropriate time to judge ourselves.
Trying to force our will ( which many try to call God's will ) on others is not workable. First off, how the h**l do they know as we are all different with different needs and one size doesn't always have much of a fit. However; we are all capable of knowing ourselves and in that we can judge.
You may help in some way, but you were not sent here to be in charge -- no matter how strongly you believe you know and can. Only someone fairly impartial, can even begin to attempt being in charge and religious zealots are in my mind, way too inbalanced mentally. Power, and greed are not lofty principles, but that is what is behind all of this. Impartiality and consideration, tempered with empathy, but that is not what overturned Roe and kept giving guns to people who shouldn't have them. That is what allowed killing kids already in this world.

Let’s hope the anger that everyone feels today continues through the November elections. Americans have a tendency to have a short attention span.
