Unfortunately we were unable to watch the hearings. We're at the beach and the cable is out in the rental. Reading about it though. Wish Garland would file charges against Trump, but understand that would be considered political. And future democrat presidents could be at risk.

It is only in exceptional moods that we realize how wonderful are
the commonest experiences of life. It seems to me sometimes that
these experiences have an "inner" side, as well as the outer side
we normally perceive. At such moments one suddenly sees everything
with new eyes; one feels on the brink of some great revelation. It is as if
we caught a glimpse of some incredibly beautiful world
that lies silently about us all the time.

This is soooo sad.
Hope we are able to fix this one.
-
Talk about apt -- X marks the spot for sure.
-
Going to be nice if it happens, and that remains hard to tell as there are conflicting stories based on which network or other media is currently vying for highest ratings.
-
Talk about belonging in jail, and this one should have been there some time back.
and Clarence Thomas needs to be escorted un-ceremoniously from the SC chambers never to return.

I wish I felt good about Trump’s chances of going to prison but I don’t. And I won’t breathe a sigh of relief until Boebert is ousted, tho it’s encouraging how the Dems banded together and I hope that works. Trouble is, will there be something worse in her place? I think the Ginni Thomas story is an outrage, and I’m beside myself that more isn’t being done about this. It’s an abomination.

I have lost all hope of Trump getting what he deserves.....
-
Maybe NY state can get him for tax evasion, just like other crime bosses

Feds search home of Jeffrey Clark, former DOJ official who pushed Trump's false election fraud claims
-
If not the Feds, I think NY. and Georgia will get him for something.
-
Sadly I agree with Devine & Ruth. I just can't believe Trump will get any serious punishment. And I'm VERY worried about the coming election. Normally I'm not a negative person, but.....

So it's official, SCOTUS has sent women back 50 years, to the bad old days when the right to control our bodies didn't exist. President Biden, PLEASE add some seats to this right wing corrupt court!
-
And yet, it's OK for people to carry guns wherever they want and mow down already born people at will. What a perverted country we are living in.
-
Yes, talk about hell on earth! We're living in it.
-
Congress would have to act to increase the number of Supreme Court judges.....I can't see that happening with this bunch....
-
Probably not, unless their constituents really get up in arms about this outrage. Everything hinges on the November elections.

The people of our nation and the people of the whole world need to be gripped by the moral imperatives which grow out of the nature of God, by a sense of right, by principles of truth, and by ideals of decency. Nothing is more needed by this world than a revival of simple goodness and genuine uprightness. -Clifton J. Allen

Saw it coming but it is still shock. I am so very sad and scared for the young women in America.
Ban abortion but don't pay for peri-natal, delivery, post-natal care, don't give anyone parental leave, don't help with child care so a woman can go back to work. Ban contraception. Ban the morning after pill. What a fucked up place.
Bring in an unwanted child, give him an unhappy and screwed up life and when he acts out and kills someone then you execute him. Life is sacred my ass.

Elderberry, you are so right -- despite knowing it was still a gut punch when it came. I really think it possible that this will backfire. Pres. Biden sees it as a big error on the part of the court and even the Loon thinks it will be bad for the Reps. REALLY !!! Just a mite holier than thou since he bears responsibility for it along with Mitch The Russian McConnell.
I am rather flabbergasted. Those on the court with the yea votes are now going to be murderers too. Not their only sin, but I think it worse since the people they might erase have been living and breathing for some time. So, I don't think it will be a good thing for the Repbs. I do feel plenty of Reps. don't agree with this anymore than we do. Not sure how many will say so.
