Cats, cats, cats

I have a cardboard scratching box that two of my cats sometimes use as a sleeping chamber. They each have a cat bed as well but sometimes prefer what I refer to as the "bed of nails" as the spot to nap. Go figure. LOL
-
Good morning, cat lovers. Miss Felix found a puddle on the porch after last night's storm. After getting soaking wet, the first place she goes is the cat pot. Now she has cat litter clumped all over her legs and paws. What a mess.
-
People here posted their cats reaction to the snow. The majority were dubious but a Norwegian Forrest cat looked absolutely delighted. It looked like a ball and I'll bet there was an ordinary sized cat in there.
-
I thought I would add to this thread. I am also a cat lover. Miss Kitty lived 19 years. She was not the nicest cat but loved me and my husband. Sadly she passed on Christmas day 2019. We adopted a kitten in March 2020 not knowing she has significant kidney disease. Her name is Kiss Daisy. Her issues are probably congenital but she is the sweetest, most loving cat I have ever seen. The vet is supersized how long she has lived with her renal failure. She was with me in my second cancer journey and I feel she knew what was going on as she cuddled with me all the time. We don't know how long she will be with us but she is a constant comfort to me as I feel I am a constant comfort to her. Cats forever!!!!
-
Kiss Daisy sounds like she found a great home, to receive love and to give comfort. I second your 'cats forever'
-
Quinnie so sorry you lost your Miss Kitty but so very happy Kiss Daisy found you. I love kitties too, but when you get that one that truly connects with you - well, that is magic.
-
Cats form special bonds. I agree cats forever.
-
-
Welcome Quinnie. I hope you have many happy and healthy years with beautiful Kiss Daisy. My beautiful boy Elliott has acquired kidney damage and he is doing great thanks be to God.
-
Good morning, cat lovers. I took Midnight Louie in for a nail trim. He was a good boy with some meowing on the way.
-
Well done Louie!
-
Miss Daisy needs a nail trim. I am taking her Friday. She is always good there because she is paralyzed with fear. Poor thing.
-
I think we are going to need to have our vet put those soft claws over our girls' claws. They are shredders, both of them
-
Thats great Petite! Yeah all my kittens need trims as well. I should just call the mobile vet to have a home visit. But then all would disappear
-
LOL, Feelingfeline. That is purrfect. Looks just like Louie.
-
I trim my cats' nails. They grow so fast! And unfortunately, the soft-claws last about a minute on each of them (3 almost-2 year olds)
-
My boys let me trim their nails. Stevie sort of tolerates it but shreds everything. Annie will not let us touch her nails and she cries and cries, gets Eddie all upset. So Friday the girls are off to the vets to get those soft paw things put on their murder mittens.
-
My puppy Bella with her two cats, Mittens and Jax.
-
I did applications for shelter cats today. At 11:30 they posted a kitten. By 12:30 he had 5 applications. He had 16 applicants before we took out the instructions for how to apply. I'm tired.
-
Pokemom beautiful babies!
Wren sorry for the exhaustion but happy so many people want the little kitty.
-
And wrenn, thank you for the work you do for all those animals who need homes.
-
Pokemom, I love the picture. The cats look like they are going to gang up on the puppy.
wren, that is great. The little kitten will soon have a forever home.
-
Pokemon - Lovely photo! Those cats look like they are communicating to the puppy exactly who is in charge!
-
Aww, love the picture of Bella with Mittens and Jax. It's priceless!
-
Miss Daisy gained 2 ounces!!!!! She weighs a whopping 4 pounds 6 ounces. Her kidney function is unchanged but she is such a sweet loving cat who does not seem bothered with having kidney disease. We will cherish her as long as we can.
-
Great job Miss Daisy (and mom) !
-
quinnie, Our cat, Marmelade, had kidney disease also. His vet wanted him to drink more water so we made him catnip tea and used that to flavor his water. He was pretty far along when diagnosed and we were able to have him for another year using sub Q fluids to help his kidneys. I hope Miss Daisy has a slow progression and you have her for quite a while longer. It sounds like she's a fairly early stage.
-
Hefty cat started his very low carb diet yesterday, I am feeding his self esteem by saying he's looking smaller already. Which is crazy because of course he can't be smaller yet.... but mostly because he can't understand what I'm saying 😂
-
Midnight Louie had a near miss, yesterday, A coral snake got into the screen porch and Louie, the great hunter was on it. I grabbed Louie and husband got the snake out. (red touch yellow, kills a fellow). The warm days must have brought it out of hiding. It was moving slowly and not aggressive. I blocked up the space under the screen door that maybe how the critters are getting in.
