Oh my, now I'll be careful getting my mail out of the box....lol
Vickie and All, I finished all 7 rows of the afghan and am currently stitching them together. I hope to be finished by Friday. This one is so colorful.....I know everyone will recognize their squares.....
Sue, I responded to your PM....thank you.
Remember, we need your recommendations on who gets these afghans...Send us a PM......
Thank all of you so very much.
Love and Hugs, Madison -
I did it. I just finished my first square. It's not perfect or nearly as good as the seasoned crocheters but it's the right size or real close. Let me tell you its not easy to crochet a square with yarn that's been unraveled 4 times! It takes practice. well, it took me alot of practice. But now that I pretty much have the hang of it then i'll move faster. I don't know if this one will be one that's good enough to send or not...depends on if the others look just like it. lol Just wanted to crow.

cheri -
Congrats Cheri. Every square should be sent! It was made with love and that's what the afgans are ment to show. LOVE!
-
Thank you CY. Did I ever tell you initials really bug me? And did I ever mention that even my bologna has a first name? lol
thanks
cheri -
I just can't figure out why Cheri names her food! :>
-
"My bologna has a first name, it's OSCAR..." told ya
hahaha I must admit though its difficult to swallow foods with names.
cheri -
Love it Susan!!!!
Hugs,

Vickie and Madison
Sent a box of squares to each of you this morning. I think there is 9 in each. I have been playing around with different patterns so let me know if they are ok and if some of the patterns work better then others.
Sue -
Great Liz and Sue....I am on the finishing touches of the one currently on my lap (at work-on my lunch hour)....and look forward to getting new squares in the mail...
I know Vickie is completing one at the present time....
You are all great....Love and Hugs, Madison
Remember to give us your thoughts (PM us please) on who should get these afghans...... -
Ok..finally got the picture of afghan number two off my camera and into the computer. So I'm a little slow!!! LOL. All I want to do is crochet.
This one has already been mailed and I'm working on number three!!! You girls are the greatest!!!
Lots of love and hug
Vickie -
hmmm...looks small and crooked in the picture but it's not. It covers the top of my queen size bed...I love all the colors everyone is using.
Thanks too for sending more squares as I'm running a wee bit low for number three.
Love to all
Vickie
MADISON...are you crocheting in you sleep woman!!! Holy cow...your flying right along. I spent too many days with the flu...glad that's out of my system! -
Vickie, It Is GORGEOUS.....I love the colors...GREAT..EXCITING...This is sooo much fun
I am on the "border" part of my afghan and should have it finished by tonight....
I'll start on the new one tomorrow.....
Love and hugs, Madison -
GORGEOUS TIMES TEN!!!!!!! I love the Afghan, you two are doing a wonderful, wonderful Job!
Didn't you send the first one to Marisa? Have you heard yet if she received it?
With all the negatives B.C. has delivered to me, I am so glad that the BIGGEST Positive has been the Wonderful, Warm Angels known as Friends that I have met right here on this site!
Love to all,
Denise -
Susan,
I'm still chuckling over the picture with the Mailman!!
Hugs,
Denise -
I did send the first one to Marisa but haven't heard anything yet.
Thanks for the compliments ladies but you should all be giving yourselves a bit pat on the back for all the hard work that you are doing too. There is no way I could make the afghans alone without all your squares...at least not fast enough to suit me!
Love and hugs to all...hoping to find more squares in my mailbox when I get home...so exciting and I will try to finish number three this weeked that is going out to someone very special to us all...shhhh...it's a surprise. -
I just tracked the afghan that was mailed Tuesday....and according to the computer....it has arrived at its destination......
Madison -
I love the afghan--what a wonderful job you all are doing! How cozy that will be for someone!
-
Love the afghan. It's beautiful! Thanks so much for posting the picture. When do we get to find out who it's going to?
Sue -
Vickie,
The afghan is beautiful, and I think I see a couple of my squares in there!! I'll have more squares to mail out over the weekend.
Thanks,
Sue -
I you want to know who is getting the afghan I mailed earlier this week...send Vickie or I a PM.
I know it is in her city....If they attempted delivery at her home and she wasn't there, then they left a notice that a package has arrived. I just don't know if she knows to get the package from the post office 'cause she won't recognize the name of the sender...
Madison -
Yup...as Madison said...pm us and we'll let you know so it will be a surprise to whoever it's going to.
Denise...I got your squares and they are wonderful. Don't worry about the ends. I can weave them in or crochet them in...it doesn't matter either way. Just don't knot and cut them off as they will unravel over time....wonderful job.
So happy to be doing this!
I may have a bunch of yarn being donated (won't know for sure until Monday)so I will let you know if it happens and if anyone needs yarn just give a holler and I'll send it off to you. We are talking about a LOT of yarn...praying it happens!
Love and hugs all around
Vickie -
New Afgan.....Thank you for the beautiful squares...Your work is awesome!!!!!
Love and Hugs, Madison -
Oh girls those afghans just keep getting prettier! You all do a wonderful job. You'll be getting squares from me one of these days. Not real soon yet but I am getting it. Just wanted to tell you how pretty it is.
pals
cheri -
Thanks Cheri...you'll get it. It just takes practice.
Sue and Liz...woohoo...got your squares. I have to tell you the story though. Went this morning and got groceries and Sunday school supplies and when we got home there they were...two wonderful packages. My niece got sooo excited...she was literally jumping up and down saying "LOOK AUNT VICKIE...MORE SQUARES...OH MY...THIS IS JUST LIKE WINNING THE LOTTERY, OPEN THEM QUICK!"...well ladies, out of the mouths of babes. It truly is like winning the lottery and my hope is that the receivers of these afghans feel that way when they arrive in the mail as I too feel that way every time a package comes. You are the best of the best....all of you, for your hard work, your beautiful squares and your giving hearts. My hat off to you all.
geez...actually in tears over this. Her simple little statement said it all.
off to crochet to spread the love even further...
Love to you all...you are wonderful
Vickie -
Vickie and Madison..there just are no words for all your caring work. The afghans are beautiful and all the handwork done by our circle is awsome!!
-
Oh my goodness.....
I received squares from Denise, Sue, Liz and Donna today.....I already have started putting borders on these squares..
As Vickie said earlier, I am so touched by this...I was crying..you ARE the best....
My DD brought the mail into the house and she was so excited and helped me open the boxes...hubby was getting into the opening of the boxes...
DD had friends from Texas and New York with her and they were amazed at the work all of you have done....
I am off to put a new, wonderful, unique afghan together...made possible only because all of you are so wonderful, giving and generous with your time....
Love to All, Madison -
Another Beautiful Afghan!! I'm glad my squares have arrived!
I think this project has brought our long distance friendships even closer to the heart.
Love to you all,
Denise
p.s. Madison, thank you for the note! Very Nice read! -
Yeah!!!! Glad my squares arrived. I'm so proud to be part of this project.
Sue
