    Cute video of the cat that began training last night doing a faultless hi 5 with a volunteer. He caught on really quick.

    Update on the grandkitten. Charlie is now 3 months old and 3.7 lbs. He has a big personality and still full of energy!

    He is certainly adorable. I think the energy level drops at about 3 years. We get adopters in looking for a 2nd cat because they're going crazy with the 1 year old who still wants to play non stop.

    My kitties have been given baths since they were kittens. They hate the sound of the running water. I fill 2 buckets before they go in the bathroom. It always is the same, one meow before the plunge (I wash one at a time). Then they are ok with getting soaped up and I rinse them with the shower wand. I have the cat towels ready after I squeeze the water off. Wrap the cat, usually get the paws under towel because the claws are out. They have a love hate relationship with the hair dryer. I like to wash them on hot days because they get cold. It was 85 degrees the other day so I didn't have to use the hair dryer that much. They are both white and long hair they looks so nice. The tangles and loose fur gone.

    My female cat is the puker and always at 2am, ugh! She hasn't vomited in many months, knock on wood.

    Hi All,

    My Survivor Kitty, Whitey, is back in her own private bedroom recuperating once again.

    This time it is just from 3 teeth being extracted. Her breathing was not good the first night but she is much better 2 days later. I did not think she would make it through the first night. Vet said her epiglottis is "strange" and enlarged. At first he thought it was a TUMOR!!!!! He scoped everything and is confident it is not a tumor, just her unusual normal.

    Even her tiny little sweet face was swollen. Swelling is going down.

    I sure love this kitty. She has been through so much and she keeps hanging in there. I continue to learn from her how to do this surviving thing...

    To those following Whitey's story, thank you for your genuine interest and concern.

    Her beautiful sweet face is back to normal, no more swelling. She is eating wet and dry food as if she had zero teeth taken out, unphased. The only residual issue is occasional dry heaves; these seem to be much less than after her procedure.

    I took her out of her "private princess bedroom suite" and drove her 3 hrs to her inside/outside living arrangement with her other mom. While she is very content when with me, she seems happier with her other mom and her other kitty friends. The other owner is making no visible steps towards moving...but Whitey the Survivor Kitty is thriving in spite of her circumstances.

    She is one of my Survivor Role Models :)

    I just wanted to post this picture of Maxine. She is one of my 'clients' as I'm a catsitter. I love going to her house and staying with her...starting my 5th year taking care of her. She was so happy to see me...she started meowiing but it was really like 'talking'. Have any of you experienced this?
