Cinque, you do deseve it!! Enjoy your snow! Honestly, the snow is beautiful as it is falling and right after, then the beauty is gone because the reality is that now it has to be shoveled and itis friggin cold out!!
I am trying to maintain my recent weight loss for the month of December. Unfortunatlely I am still up 1.5lbs from Thanksgiving....but a total of 15lbs since the middle of August. The only tricks is to make healthy choices and if you are going to splurge just a small taste NOT the bag, bowl or entire plate of cookies!! We deserve to enjoy and a little can go a long way!!
Happy Holidays Ladies!!
(((hugs)))

Janet, wise advice... and impressive results! Well done! You obviously have great self control😄
Cinque, I didn't know about that rule 😉 Enjoy plannng your trip, the anticipation is almost as good as the experience!

Gosh, so sorry that I have been MIA!! Been in Boise awaiting our 6th grandchild, a boy!! Any day now, we have been here for 2 weeks! Eating but healthy because of our other grandchildren!!

Merry Christmas Ladies! All the best for a healthy & happy New Year!!
I have been able to keep the weight I lost off and loose a tiny bit more! I am very happy about this as I have been through 2 birthdays, Thanksgiving and some Christmas celebrations...point counting is working, This week will be difficult but wil continue my goal after the holidays.
Today is my last day working for 2 weeks and so excited about our short trip to Boston tomorrow. We are going to watch our daughter defend for her PhD from Tufts in Biomedical Engineering!! I am so proud of her. It was not easy for her to leave 5 1/2 years ago. I had just been diagnosed and was in the midst of empty nest syndrome. But she is very special and skyped with me almost daily, she is a blessing.....
Hoping that everyone is feeling well and enjoys the holiday season with their loved ones.
((HUGS)) Janet

I've lost 6lbs recently though the support and accountabililty to friends..... thank you

#ImNewHere. My wife's mother/ my mother in law was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I don't have more information yet. We are really scared. We live in Medellin Colombia. My mother in law live in the middle of Colombia / Valledupar. I am not sure why treatment is available to her in Valluedupar. I will donate to this site today.

-
Happy New Years Ladies! I went off the rails also, up 3 pounds but eating healthy again. Damn that chocolate!! (drinks, lots of food...) We can do this!!
-
Hey, perhaps we should get these????
-
Tammy I love it. I could use a set of these! LOL
-
I think everyone goes of the rails during the festive season. Ive pulled myself back into line. Been working a bit harder in the gym in preparation for my skiing holiday, which is only a couple off weeks away now. Frustatingly lymphodemia has paid me a visit..I have my compression garment but Im a bit nervous about flying now. Determined to have fun in 2017☺
-
Cinque, sorry to hear about your lymphodema. Very happy to hear your back on track and planning a vacation. Stay positive!!!
-
Hi, Cinque!! I have Lymphedema too! I wear my compression sleeve when I exercise and when I fly! I am taking Tai Chi classes and Gentle Yoga!! Sure helps to move the fluid in my arm! Enjoy your vacation! Limiting your salt intake and drinking lots of water helps!!
-
Cinque, where are you skiing? I don't have lymphoedema but lots of my paddling buddies do and they don't let it hold them back. In fact, they tell me exercise is good and flying is fun!
I've lost a few pounds so I'm happy. Bring on 2017!!!!
-
Hi Tammy
I fly in seven days all the way to Slovenia. We land in Venice and then we drive to Slovenia. Im going with a friend who used to ski competivedly, she's going to teach me. Ive never seen snow so Im very excited. Its 20 hours of travelling to get there. I use to love flying. I have my compression garments so hopefully all good. I have big plans for this year and I need to fly. What annoys me most about lymphodemia is the constant cancer reminder I just want to move on....like I said I have plans☺
-
Cinque, woo hoo! You go girl!!!
-
Enjoy Cinque! Sounds like a fantastic trip! Look forward to hearing about it!!
Congrats on the weight loss Tammy!!
-
Well skiing..or trying to is great exercise. I wore my conpression garments on very long flight just over 19 hours and all good. My hand swelled a little but that is reducing...I think it prefers cold weather. I fell down so many times but I dug deep I said to myself your tough get up...and I did and I stood there and thought how great it is to be alive
-
Cinque, that's great! You look great, love the pic!!! Enjoy your vacation, you deserve it!
-
It is so nice to see a picture of you, Cinque!! You look wonderful!! Enjoy!! Hi, Tammy and Tenaj!! You both sound like you are going just great!!👍👍👍👍😃😃😃 wow, since moving to the 55 and older condo in Palm Desert, I feel better than I have in a long time! They offer yoga, Tai Chi and swim aerobics! Even hubby does the swim class!! I also love the Tai Chi and Yoga!! Hugs!!
-
Cinque, love the pic!
Kathy, that sounds amazing! Doesn't seem like it was hard to settle in!
I've continued to exercise and eat well. I have my annual check up on Monday so a little nervous but hopeful!
-
Hi Girls back from holidays and it was wonderful. Ate some naughty food which was awesome but did heaps of walking and spent two days skiing so no weight gain. Back to gym next week but will try to incorporate walking into my weekly routine.
Tammy good luck with your check up petfectly normal to be a little nervous.
Kindergarten you have no excuse for falling of the wagon with the wonderful facilities at the Condo.
