Hi Cinqe and other ladies !
I am much better. Turns out a sinus infection was causing my problems. I don't know if I mentioned this but I will be starting infusions of gamma globulin soon. Part of my immune system no longer works and it is why I am always tired and get sick frequently. In theory I will have much more energy after a few infusions. Meanwhile I am walking a lot more. My fitness watch adds a few steps to my goal everyday. I am trying use that as motivation
-
Hi, JFV! Wow! I learn so much from this thread! Did not know that infusions of gamma globulin increased energy! I do remember I received an infusion of it when I was exposed to chicken pox 36 years ago, when I was pregnant! Hope you see results quickly!!😃
Well, we are finally moved in to our condo in Palm Desert! Lots of exercise and walking! Thank the Lord!! Moving more and feeling better!! Have got to keep losing! My A1C is down, now the cholesterol has to be lowered too!! I am finally on a low dose of Lipitor!! I am hoping that since going off of my inhibitor, after 11 years, everything will stabilize!!
-
Wow, lots of great news since my last check-in here. A special well done Janet on the weight loss and Kathy on progress with Lipitor
I'm concentrating on my dragon boat paddling and getting ready for the International Breast Cancer Paddling meeting in Florence, Italy in 2018.....a ways off but not too late to join if you'd like!
Last competition my team got a silver and a bronze so the team is improving!
-
Kindergarten thanks for the info on gamma globulin. I am nervous about getting infused but excited to have more energy. You have made wonderful improvements in your health.
Tammy, dragon boat racing sounds like fun ! Beautiful day here. Time to cleanup the garden.
-
Hi Ladies, Tammy how exciting a trip to Italy for such a great cause and fun, with the benefits of excercise!! How wonderful!
Kathy, Good luck at your new condo, are you closer to your children? Aerobic exercise, as simple as walking and increased ficer in your diet can help lower your cholsesterol. Good luck, glad your A1C is better.
I had my weigh in yesterday and I am down another 1.2 lbs, a total of 12 lbs so far, I love that I have finally broke the craving of sweets and snacks, lets hope this keeps up!!! I bought the Halloween candy and it remains closed!!!!! YAY
Have a great day all!!
-
Janet, WOW
-
Great job Tenaj
-
Tammy, such an exciting trip to plan for! One of these days I want to try dragon boat paddling!
Tenaj!! That is so wonderful!! Your news gives me more incentive!
Love this thread!!!
-
Thanks for the support and encouragement!! Have a great weekend!!
-
Sorry I've been missing for a time.....very busy!!!
I'm a train wreck and need to refocus.....I hope everyone else is doing sooo much better! (((Hugs)))
-
Hope everything is ok Tammy.
-
Thanks Cinque, just busy at work and eating way too much! I'm gaining and although I'm not happy about it I'm not doing anything about it.....yet.....
I fell over a few weeks ago when walking down hill and fell on my right knee and then my hands. I lost some skin and that's healed but I knee is now getting sore.....annoying!
-
Aww, Tammy!! Me too, bad eating weekend!! Let's shake the dust off our feet and start again!! Hope your knee heals quickly!!
-
Thanks Kathy! Yes, let's start again!
-
I ate no candy for Halloween☺ probably easier to avoid in Australia than the US. With food I can be very good but find it very easy to slip into bad habits. At least we are all aware and can reel ourselves back in. Spring has sprung in Perth finally its the most glorious morning....swimsuit season nearly here...how's that for motivation. Keep well. Xxx
-
Sorry to hear Tammy, life can be a bitch sometimes...working, stresses from every angle and then to hurt yourself...You can do this...Everyday to wake up is a great thing and a new beginning!
I made it through the weekend with not too much candy, but I did have some M & M's...(my favorite, I can't resist) I am down another pound, total of over 14 lbs now since the middel of August!! One of the great things is that my FAT clothes are getting too big! Good thing I didn't get rid of my other sizes,,,,
I am still doing a modified WW, I am not writing everything down anymore. I have a good idea of what point value most foods are. My friend gave me a calculator to help with my food decisions,
Stay strong ladies, we can do this!!
(((HUGS)))Janet
