Waving hi to all
I am back in the hospital. Grr. Got here yesterday. Same issues as always. : uncontrollable vomiting, diahrea causing dehydration and then incredible pain since can't keep pain meds down and all that vomiting hurtsu back. Blood pressure was 70/48 but heart rate very high from pain. Er was crazy busy. We got here at 2 pm and didn't get in a er room until 5 pm then didn't get to an actual room Til 11 pm. Totally exhausted.
Hootie hoo
-
Sheppers - THANK YOU! How in the world did you do that? I tried at least 6 times.
Isn't he cute as a button? Such a change in one week. I told a couple people today that I was naming him Kirby Von Piffles and you should have seen the looks I got! Very funny ;0)

A quick good morning...I need to go back and read, catch up before I post more.
Loverly, my EX is 12/5..barring any complications. I also have a cold. Ugh! Next Monday I have pre ops with PCP and cardiologist, so hoping to kick cold by then. I saw my PS early this week..can't wait to get my squishies!
To everyone with pain, fatigue, chemo and in hospital..sending virtual hugs and wishes of comfort.
Smaarty, Man oh man....sweet!

Patti, Sending healing, calming thoughts. Hope you can get out of there soon.

Patti - hoping the hospital brings you relief and rest
jazzyjuneb - that pup is so teeny and adorable
Loverly - yes yes yes the nerve pain is lessening. It was at its high peak I guess!! What beautiful hike pictures, good therapy. HA your supermoon pic, I saw only the ring and thought there was a wedding announcement!
-
Can't believe my family in Wisconsin is getting snow today
-
Mommy- it got very cold out west and was snowing in Denver yesterday.
-
snow ???? Wow. Already. Noooo. Fall please don't leave
-
Jazzy, it supposed to get really cold here too over the weekend
-
Not the best picture, because it's dark outside, but this is first snowfall of season. I'm just West of Minneapolis, MN. There were thunderstorms this AM, then it turned to snow.
-
beautiful. Brrr
-
Yes, Patty, it's cold! How are you feeling? Sorry to hear about your ER/hospital visit.
-
Smaarty, Fun pictures of your trip and Evie!
Junie, Puppy count down..he's so tiny and cute!
MammaRay, Glad you are out of hospital. I hope you are feeling better.
Queenie, Sorry I missed your birthday last week. I hope it was happy and you have a good trip to Chicago!
Mommy, You sure are progressing on your paper.
Wren, I did look at the super moon, but forgot to take a pic. I hope you are well.
Loverly, Mmmm...pumpkin cheesecake sounds so good! The tunnel of lights and hiking pictures were beautiful. How are you feeling? Kick that cold yet? I'm a procrastinator too, and I bite off more than I can chew. Not a good combination.
Mags, I'm so, so sorry about the new mets Dx. It stinks that you have to wait longer for your teeth, but good docs are communicating.
Sensi, I hope you are doing well back at work.
Feline, Jazzy, JeanQ, I hope you all are well.
Shep, Hugs! Thanks for the Sass update.
Jwoo, I hope you are sleeping bettter.
Susan, Mags, may chemo be gentle on you.
SusieM, Welcome!
Sending comforting hugs to everyone.
I had trigger thumb last winter when I was on Tamox..went to hand PT and ended up with a shot, in Feb I think. The thumb is popping again all the sudden this week. Argh! For those who have had cortisone shots in fingers/thumb..does it typically have to be re-injected on occasion?

Chemo itself went pretty easy yesterday, but the place was a madhouse when I got there, every infusion chair full and the lobby packed. They were an hour late by the time they got my labs done, which they didn't even need to do because I'd just had them. Then I ad to sit and wit another hour for a chair. Just seemed like everyone has cancer. The halaven infusion is only five minutes, but with the steroid/nausea bag and flushes it was close to an hour overall. So far the only se I'm having is from the steroid which always messes with my bladder nerves - I have no urge to go, sometime in the night I wet the bed and never knew it until I got up this morning and my undies were wet in spite of the pad I wore. So until it wears off I have to make sure I empty my bladder regularly.
Someone suggested coconut water for hydration so my cousin got me some, now I need a suggestion on how to make it palatable. It makes me gag for some reason.
While we were there yesterday a volunteer brought a service dog around, the cutest little Maltese. My cousin was a bit startled when she ended up on her lap.

No, not yet, WildT. Today is the worst. Did the saline nasal rinse this morning and that took some pressure off my sinus. Will do the saline again in the shower shortly and may need to take NyQuil before bed. I don't like how NyQuil makes me feel. Always feel like I am in a different realm of time. DH ,on the other hand, loves it. He will take it if his "back is aching" or after a few sneezes. He refers to all colds as the flu. He is a baby I tell you. I am trying not to give whatever I have to him. He is the biggest baby. This describes him perfectly:
How about you? Tough that you are by yourself. Hope you are feeling better. The world does not slow down when we are sick. I manage to clean the bathrooms today and did laundry. Now I am bushed! Snow so beautiful, but there is no way I will survive living in areas that snow.
Susan, hope you are able to sleep better tonight. I think I found a restaurant for us. It is called Fourth and Sea Fish and Chips. Need to call them to make sure they don't use peanut oil. Are you going straight to Eureka after lunch. It's a good 5 hrs drive. How old is your uncle? Can't wait to see you all, especially baby Elena.
JunieB, thank you for reminding me about the Honest Kitchen dehydrated dog food. Will order some to alternate with Mitzy's current food. So far less scratching and licking. I still need to get the lavender and chamomile oil Susan suggested for skin. So far no new rash either. It has only been one week on the new food though . I am hoping this will work for her. It has been a year since we are trying to figure out what's wrong with her. She is high maintenance for sure, but the love she has for us is worth it.
Ms. S, have you visited the beach yet? They have pretty beaches there. We were in Gold Coast in '99. Wish we had more time to explore Sydney. I had to scroll back a few times to look at the pics of Evie, Elena, Kirbie, and of course the cookies too
Jazzy, do you get snow where you are? It has been cold here too. We had turn on the heater a few days ago. It went down to the 30's at night, but I am glad we don't have very many nights that cold.
Sensi, are you alive? You must be exhausted.
Patty, when do you collect an Out of Jail pass? You should try Ativan as Shep suggested. You will be "happy". Start low since you are on opioid. Fentanyl patches ,as Rose suggested, is good since you don't have to worry about keeping the oral pain meds down. You only have to worry about breakthrough pain.
JeanQ, wonderful that the burning pain has gone down. Glad you didn't have to take Neurontin. Yes the hike was good therapy. Quite a few people in their 60's and 70's in the group. I had to control my huffing and puffing around them. Those are some healthy people. I am new to the group. You should join us. When are you due back to work?
ShepK, hope you are not in too much discomfort. I have even less people now to tease. JunieB is too serious and innocent.
Mommy, Mitzy snores really loud too in the spring. How old is Jackson now? I forgot what he looks like.
Good morning, Miss Feline.
Welcome back SuzieM.
MammaR, thinking of you.

Time for my annual reminder:
-
Mags, what brand coconut drink did you get? Some leave an after taste. Some taste better than other. Bummer about the bladder.
Just looked up and saw the pic. Eww!!! That's gross Mags. I will never look at pumpkin pies the same way again.
