I do find it extremely frustrating as I don't have any other device save for my desk-top and something I meant early on ( apparently just about the time this "problem" occurred ) actually went onto other threads that I use and I've since had to go back and delete them off. I hope this doesn't take much longer.

Probably NOT a good idea, Illinois

Should all be fine now. It appeared to be an issue with some of the content that a member embedded in one of their posts. Specifically, there seems to be an iframe from the New Yorker that was getting in the way.

Big thanks to you Moderators. I was teasing about using the other thread. Sure glad we can go home again.

I'm getting a little confused here. Is the problem fixed as far as having to reset the password with every log in that I originally posted about?

    Thanks.

Seq -- we're still working on a solution for you. Can you tell us what phone you have?

Hydranne -- can you also tell us the type of phone you're trying to access from?

    Thanks!

I don't use this site on my phone, only from my laptop. The site requires me to reset the password every time I sign out or restart the computer.

    Hi Mods,

I'm having the same problem that seq24 posted about on 9/30, only it's from my home computer, not a laptop. I have to reset my password every single time I log in -very frustrating! I don't have this problem with any other site; it saves and automatically fills in my username / password. Only my husband and I use the computer. Windows 7 / Google Chrome

    Thanks!

Kattysmith--yes this is surely annoying!!!!! I'm almost to the point of avoiding this site because it is such a pain to have to reset the password EVERY SINGLE TIME!! Hope the issue is resolved soon!

I know that this has been brought up before, but it seems to me as if it should be an easy fix. I regularly and zealously report spam. My reward for this is 3 emails generated to me for each spam posting I report. I reported 6 this morning and will, by the time they're permanently removed, have received 18 emails regarding the status of these posts. I trust you mods, and do not need or want notification of each step of the removal process. Please make it stop!

exbrnxgrl, thank you so much for taking care of our community! We know those automated emails are annoying, and we want to get rid of them too, but this is something that has to be done by the tech team... Please give us some time. Thank you for your patience!

Mike - the spammers are really active tonight I guess. They seem to be erasing as fast as they can.

Mods, could you add an "are you sure" step to the "Remove from My Favorite Topics" link?

I have a small screen on my phone, and I often hit the "Remove from My Favorite Topics" when I am scrolling. A favorite topic will disappear and I then have to figure out what's missing. It's worse if I didn't notice when it happen.

I have noticed other folks will say "sorry, a topic disappeared from my favorites list. That's why I haven't posted in a while."

    Thank you

Great idea Mominator! Thanks! By the way, Musical, not sure if we got back to you or not, but those links are to a video of a member who ran a campaign for us.

Hi Mods, No you didn't get back until now. That's OK it's holiday time. Here's the only thing I see when I click on any of those links which go to an empty post by you Mods. Can I ask, what is supposed to appear in the body of your posts? Links to outside video hosts or an embedded video link to something like such as youtube?

Thanks Mods. With just youtube embedded with no actual text link explains why I see nothing - It means my blockers are working as intended (squash google on 3rd party sites) :-)

I've been noticing for some weeks that when I click on threads from my "favorite topics" list to go to unread messages that it takes me past the last comment I read. Sometimes it's one or two comments past where I last read, but most of the time it's just takes me to the end of the first comment I haven't read (often directly to the diagnosis section, not the beginning of the comment)--annoying when the comment is long so I have to scroll back up to begin to read it. Why does it no longer link to the beginning of the first comment I haven't read?

Me too Ceanna. It stops you too low on the page, past the text.
