HomeMom, Paris and London!! How wonderful! Things can happen anywhere, just relax and enjoy is my motto.

Cinque, there is an international breast cancer dragon boat meeting in Florence in mid 2017 so we are fund raising to go! The last meeting was in Sarasota but I had only just joined so I didn't go. Apparently it was fabulous. You still have time to join a group if you are interested 😀

Kathy, well done on no sweets. It will have given you a good habit.

Janet, you enjoy the time in Cambridge. Easter bread sounds wonderful.

Hi, Tammy, thank you, but on Easter Sunday, I went a little overboard!! But, yes, the sweet cravings are not as intense as they once were!! Cutting down on bread and sweets has helped! Trying to also get in 10,000 steps daily!

Hope you all had a Wonderful Easter!!

Hello! I had a wonderful Easter....too much food but totally delicious!

Kathy, as long as you enjoyed it😉

Cinque, my work played the role of tempting Easter bunny by giving everyone a big chocolate egg. I resisted for a while but finally succumbed....it was delicious 😀

I'm getting back on track now but I'm reluctant to get back on the scales just yet.

Hi Ladies, I had a wonderful time with my daughter & son-in-law.Did pretty well on the eating front, drank more than usual.....but I had lots of fun. Now my saga again!!! I came home with shingles....I've been recuperating all week, I will decide if I am working tomorrow after the nights sleep I get. The pain seems to be worse at night. One more thing to over come! But I got this, Started on the antiviral med in about 72 hrs and it seems to be going away quickly. Good news, I still am tolerating the tapering predinsione!!!!

Stay strong and determined ladies, we know what to do!!!!

Hi Tenaj happy you enjoyed your time away sad that you came back with shingles. This disease is so difficult to manage but you are so right we must push on. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself I hate feeling tired all the time and people commenting how 'great' my hair looks I want my old hair back. Only women that have gone through it truly understand. Anyway your post picked me up again...on the fitness front I signed up for a boxing and bike class that should get some of my angry out☺

Hi, HomeMom, I see that we have a similar diagnosis! I am sure that you would definitely benefit by staying on an inhibitor for ten years! I am so glad your side effects are minimal!!

Box and bike classes are great. I did two tthis week. Would have liked to do more but my hands too sore. I went to the gym every morning too. My fitness level is improving and I feel pretty good. Fatigue set in Thursday as it does by the end of most weeks so quiet weekend for me.

Encouraging to hear about minimal side effects on inhibitors I haven't started mine yet.

    Take care girls.

    Hi Kindergarten.

I always feel so much better physically and mentally when I exercise. I back of when I feel too tired but Im getting stronger much sooner than I expected. The medication prescribed is Anastrozole Im not sure what to do yet. My head tells me to take it but Im worried about SE we are forced to make so many difficult choices. I need time to digest and accept all thats happened in the last ten months. I want to feel good first so I know tge side effects are from the medication rather than a left over from chemo and radiation.

Hi, Cinque, I know, exercise always makes me feel better as well!! I am so glad that you are feeling better and better! I took Aromasin, and I believe you may take Arimidex! It is ultimately your decision ! Fortunately, there are three good aromatose inhibitors: Arimidex, Aromasin and Femara! Also, Tamoxifen! If one proves to be too harsh in side effects, you can switch! My only piece of advice, would be to give it a try! The side effects are manageable, and I truly believe they keep the cancer away! I had an aggressive. case of bi-lateral breast cancer with lymph node involvement . I. Am almost 12 years out😃😃 Let me know if you need any more inf

    Hello friends!

Cinque, so glad you are feeling better. Maybe just try and see if you have side effects....I think personal fitness is a great predictor so just give it a try 😉

Kathy, you are an inspiration....I hope I am so fortunate

Thank you, Tammy! But truly, you are all an inspiration to me!! You do what you have to do to stay alive, but I know how important quality of life is too!! It is a Catch 22, damn if you do and damned if you don't!! You have to do what is best for you as well!!😃😃

Hello girls thanks for the encouragement. I will definately give the medication a go. I want to give it a chance to impress me so I need my head in the right place. I would like to mention my mother was part of the trials for tamoxifen some 36 years ago. She has an agressive breast cancer she was only 36 at the time. She has looked after me, not only has she survived she has lead a very full happy life. Thank goodness that we have such wonderful options.

I think my fitness level definately helped me get through treatment so well. Hopefully it will continue to assist when I start AH.

Speaking of fitness I completed a challenging gym circuit today...what have you girls been up to?

"My goal was to lose 10 pounds this year.

    Only 15 to go."

    It sometimes feels like that!!!
