(snorts) So I won't count those....but glad to see you back, duckyb! Hope things are going well/better on your end.
Just to reiterate: a fictitious male, exclusively on/in audio drama which first appeared on the radio. We don't know exactly what he looks like, but from what other characters have mentioned: he's blond, about 6'3", and would now probably be about 70.
It's not radio drama in the same sense as, say, what Jack Benny and George/Gracie Burns did at first, much less something like I Remember Mama. Want me to start dropping serious hints?
-
British soap opera the archers....forgot name of charecter. I will be back
-
Phillip archer ?
-
12. Nope, an American company produces the dramas.
Very small company, that started as a commune in the late Sixties. (circa 1970)
-
blahhhhhhh,
-
Take comfort in the fact that I'm now going to go look up Philip Archer!
The first production in which this character appeared was initially broadcast in 1972 on various college radio stations, and was sponsored by Grunt Records.
-
ones man family ?
-
Nope, not so continuous as a soap opera. (Though I now have another item on my checklist!)
The stories in which this character appears are discrete adventures, pre-recorded. They tend to have a metaphysical aspect.
The company which produces them is located in New York State..
-
robin johns? FromThe Peoria Plague?
-
No, not Robin Johns from The Peoria Plague, but that's in the same general grouping as this character's production. Except without zombies. Well, one of the adventures had a zombie--just the one zombie. Only time I ever felt sympathy for a zombie!.
(Wouldn't be surprised if the producer of these knew about ithat production, though.)
And chalking up something else I need to track down! That looks fun. Here's a link to the production: YouTube 'video' of The Peoria Plague
-
The character has appeared in thirty adventures, but that'll be all.
The company that produces the adventures has two primary protagonists, each of whom has appeared in a number of productions.
I'll keep posting more hints as needed.
-
Jack Flanders?
-
Correct: it's Jack Flanders.
Thank you for ending that!
-
