1. Yes all non-manmade versions of this thing in present day are smaller than breadbox.
2. Some are blue. Most likely that the blue type would not be the first picture that springs to mind but it happens that a type of blue is called after this thing.
-
3. Are the man made versions larger than the natural ones?
How was the simulcast? (this is the adaptation of the E. Nesbit book?)
-
4. is it mineral? (rather than animal or vegetable)
-
3. Many of the man made versions are larger, but some are of the same size as the natural ones.
The simulcast was very enjoyable (and I did not even know that that was the correct term ) Yes E. Nesbit.
The only bit that took a little getting used to was the larger than life/louder than life stage acting in such close up! The blend of camera and stage. Never been to one before. Was asitting beside a lady who told me that the ballet casts are incredible so would love to go to one of those. I think this all started with Live at the Met years ago?
4. Not mineral.
-
thing. there are man-made and natural ones. not mineral. some are blue. so not sapphires, diamonds, or other gems, because those are minerals. I am hung up on the "blue" aspect.
Also the "natural", as I think something natural would be animal, vegetable or mineral. unless it was ethereal like clouds or air or a smile or a thought. mood. blue mood.
Just rattling around with it here, not sure how to ask a question.
Waiting for help.

5. Could this be pearls?
-
5. Not pearls (but very much on the right track).
A perfect summary Onco. You are sooo close with your thinking.
You are right to get hung up on the blue - I could not believe Smaarty asked that Q as number 2 as potentially it could lead straight to the thing, though I stress only some are blue. It is an important question due to the fact that a shade of blue is named for a particular variety of this thing.
Hint - A Quote from your guidelines
Example , a leather belt or milk would be a THING, but someone could question if the thing comes from an animal, in order to narrow down the guessing field.
-
You said mostly all natural ones are smaller than a bread box.
6. Is it smaller than a tea cup?
-
6. Some natural ones are bigger than a tea cup. Some natural ones smaller than a teacup, quite a lot smaller.
-
7. OK, not mineral. are the natural ones from plants?
-
But since it is not mineral, it is not a blue diamond or any kind of gem, is that correct? I am not asking a question in the game, just verifying that gems are minerals. You picked a hard one!
-
Kay G, I thought I would try for the plant / vegetable question because feline wrote:

So here is mine,
