Hi Ladies you all sound like you are doing well!! That's fantastic! I did 30 minutes on the treadmill toady, the first time in a year! So far I feel good today, my PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica) is better and I am back on the descent of prednisone...slow process but I am here!!!! Always have to remember that
Kathy, you are going to be a grandma again?? I am so jealous.....enjoy
-
Hi, Tenaj!! So good to see you!! So glad that you are feeling better each and every day!! Descend further prednisone!! Yes, we are having a new grandson in April!!
-
Kathy, wonderful news re the new grandson!
Janet, you go girl!
Cinque, going out is good for the spirit!
I'm involved in a court case around my apartment and I've had a stressful week......not so good but I'm not sure if I gained due to bad eating or lost due to nervous energy....tomorrow's weigh in will tell😱
-
Tammy, so sorry to hear about your stress!! Will the court case end soon? Just take care of yourself!!
-
Oh noooo Tammy, sorry to hear about your court case. I hope it ends well and soon!! Stress is my biggest obstacle with making the right food choices,,,, hang in there!
(((hugs))) Janet
-
Kathy and Janet, thank you for your support, my angels 😇
I have well and truely fallen off the wagon! I didn't weigh in last week so I just have to deal with tomorrow's result😞
Janet, stress has done me in this week but as in Gone with the Wind..."tomorrow is another day"!
I'd just like to loose a few more pounds before Easter and I commit to all my friends I will 😉
-
That's right Tammy we all fall of the horse you just got to get back on.
-

-
Enjoy your food and grandchildren. Ive moved some weight dont know how much but my jeans fit better and I look better. Went to the gym every day this week. 6 more rads to go and Im done☺
Happy weekend I just started mine with a bowl of icecream. Remember we are looking for a balanced diet and that definately includes icecream.
-

Kathy, enjoy the grandkids!
Janet, I actually lost a pound! (Maybe I was just dehydrated but I'll take it as a loss)......
I'm doing OK this week but I have to travel for work for a few days so I'm not sure how that will go....
-
Hi, wonderful ladies!! At the airport now after a wonderful visit with grandkids!! Yes, Janet everyone had lived here until January! My oldest son and his family moved to Boise, Idaho!!
Woo-Hoo, Tammy !!! Cinque, you are coming to the end of this challenging journey!! Enjoy all the ice cream you want!! Will you take an AI
-
Hello ladies, any updates??? I'm busy at work and need to reboot my diet.....seriously!
-
Hi, Tammy!! I am doing the 10,000 steps a day challenge!! Makes me walk, even when I do not want to!! Also, my doc told me, bottom line to lose weight: low fat, low carb and eliminate sugar!! Yikes, it is hard!! I did give up sugar for Lent, but I cheated yesterday!!!
-
10000 steps a day will definately help. My grandmother and her generation walked everywhere. We have to try and walk crazy isnt it. Girl I work with quit sugar she was very strict and lost five kilos very quickly. Anyway doctors orders lose weight so do whatever you have to lovely lady.
Im on my way home from last radiation can't wipe the smile off my face. Two more weeks of training on my own and then Im joining my gym buddies in the classes. So excited my life is off hold☺☺☺
-
Hooray, Hooray, Cinque!! Have a fabulous day!!! You have been such a role model and inspiration to us!! You Go Girl!!!😊😊😊😊😃😃😃
-
I had my nipple tattoo on Monday and was told I couldn't work out till I sweat for a week! I waited three days and went to the gym today and got on my elliptical for 60 minutes! I'm officially addicted.
-
Wow, that is great HomeMom!!! I love the elyptical too!!!
-
Congratulations Cinque!! Your are one tough lady!! Keep up the great work with the gym and strong positive attitude!!
Great job too Homemom!!
Hi Kathy & Tammy! I have no good results to post on my weight loss. I can say that I am continuing to go slowly down on my prednisone. Every day is a guess on how I will feel. But, I am working and walking almost every day! I even did a little yard work yesterday with this unusually warm weather we are having!
Have a great Sunday and healthy week!!
-
Thanks girls. Sorry you're feeling poorly tenaj. I experience fluctuations in energy from day to day. Mornings are particularly difficult. Just keep trying tenaj every bit of activity is a step in the right direction.
-
Hi, Tenaj! Prednisone is tough, so you are doing the best you can!! Hang in there, your positive attitude is awesome!!
-
Thanks Ladies!! Your support is always the bright spot of my day!!
-
Cinque, happy dance for the end of radiation! You'll start to feel better now that you can exercise. I started running the day after I finished radiation and it was tough but really good for me.
HomeMom, great work! Janet, you're amazing and have the right attitude so you'll get there in the end.
Hi Kathy! My weight is stable and I'm back into dragon boat paddling and yoga so much hat's OK for now 😀
-
Hi girls thanks for encouragement/good wishes. Energy levels up and down so getting to bed very early. Did my first circuit class yesterday, I found it hard and exhilarating makes me feel alive. So nice to be back with my gym buddiesI Ive missed the banter. Going again today I was going to pace myself but I cant lm ready to start living again.
Tammy is there a chance of going to Italy with the dragon boat racing....I think you mentioned it in an older post....or I could have imagined it. I love
Italy.
-
I missed my initial appointment today with the personal trainer. It just totally slipped my mind, I had so many things to do. I'll reschedule for when I get back from vacation. I leave a week from tomorrow for Paris/London. I'll be gone for 9 days, but I see there is a small elliptical machine in the apartment we are renting.
I think I'm more nervous about going to Paris in light of the uptick in terror attacks then I was about chemo!
-
Tammy, stable is good!! How wonderful that you are doing dragon boat racing!! I would love yo see it!!
Cinque, so happy to hear that you felt so good after your circuit class!! Give in to your tiredness and rest!! You will be back to normal in no time!!
HomeMom, prayers for safe travel to Paris/London ! Enjoy, have fun and take lots of pictures!!
Running after my Two year old granddaughter is so much fun, but tiring! It does keep my weight stable!!! No sweets over Lent!!
-
Two year olds are tiring but they are also adorable.
Homemom Paris and London will be fantastic enjoy....and indulge in the sweets in Paris no dieting please you can train harder when you get home.
Im not resting Kindergarten life's too short☺☺☺
-
You ladies are doing great!! Dragon boat racing, Gym circuits, trips to Paris, grandchildren, I love it !! Lots of living and enjoying is what I hear! Great news...I have been feeling better, I've been on the treadmill twice this week and even went down on the prednisone again!! I've been working extra from my part time job, walking and eating well. I have not been on the scale and don't want to. I know I am doing the right things right now. Next week is another story....I am flying to see my daughter & son-in-law in Cambridge, MA next week. I am very excited!! She has all these places she wants to take me to. One of them is an organic chocolate factory!!! Can you imagine?? And some other cute eateries that have opened by her. There will be lots of walking, and eatingI will try to just taste! Most of all I look forward to spending some quality time with them When they visit home their time has to be split with his family and there is never enough time.....It is going to be me!! We will be making grandma's traditional Easter bread
Keep up the positive, energetic attitude Ladies!!!
(((HUGS)))Janet
