Smarrty, LOL Thanks, yes it was more fun writing the second post, because it caused a thinking about all that happened. Thanks much.
-
sas, sounds like a great evening....so happy for you...fun fun fun
-
Ms.Sas, wonderful that you decided to go out rather than spending your energy and worrying about making dinner, although there is a personal touch in sharing home cooked meal. Yay to no clean up and preparations. Love down to earth people.
Thank you,Goats.
-
Patty, I found a nice place for you...
-
OMD, ...................cut someone off on a housekeeping thread. Chit.
-
Myra when you get your ovaries yanked your girly parts shrink. It was noted on my scan. Not sure what that means, if anything, for the future. Also have drier skin.
-
loverly. - yes yes ! I wanna go where your pics were taken.
Susan. Great pics
Sas. Glad to hear you in a better mood. Yea ! Thanks for the recipe. Will def try it out. BTW, I got a postcard re the taste of home magazine. It's coming soon!!! Thanks dear sweet friend.
Jazzy June. Good to know you more
Myra. We all get in s funk sometimes. That's OK. Trust me, from a stage IV girl , please don't talk so lightly about progressing to stage IV. It is not a picnic. For sure. Step back and find the positive. its out there you just gotta look.
Kinda disappointed dh wasn't nearly as excited as me about valentines get away. He is worried to get excited and then have to cancel because I feel too bad. . well I am just gonna keep planning and will make reservations whenever I narrow down my choices. I can worry about cancelling or just think positively and make sure they have a cancellation policy if I call 24 hours prior to due date. Had mo appt yesterday but had to see nurse practitioner instead. Mo's neworn is in children's hospital with rsv. Scary. Nurse practitioner got mo on phone and we 3 discussed radiation. Mo very insistent that I take radiation for right hip. Very concerned about it breaking. Said hip surgery was major and major recovery. Ugh I just wanna wait and see if tx fixes it. My last pet, at end of Dec. , showed huge decrease in both number of tumours and size in allareas except hip which had progressed. So I let them make mean appt with rad dr. But still not sure I will go thru with it. Ultimately it's MY decision. Also got my Falsodex and exgeva shots yesterday. Woke up last night with sore throat and ear. It's like the 3-4 time I've had this side effect. Oh well. It could be much worse. Itwil go away in a day or so.
Happy weekend all

Peppermint.... I just know a little about hip-surgery.... Do they mean a hip-replacement for you? I didn't have that.... when I fell, I broke the femur. Could not move... Had the "successful" surgery... with a rod & a few screws.... This was almost 2 years ago. I still limp.... but don't use a cane unless it REALLY hurts.... Mine was called ORIF... And I think it IS a major surgery & recovery....
My bones are strong.... I had the Dexa scan...... Just fell "wrong" and broke the neck of my femur.... Maybe because I was/am older? But I get around just fine.... It is HARD getting over the surgery.... I made it sound "easy" for my Daughter's and Husband....
If radiation can help, would that be an alternative? I mean would it hurt anything else? I would weigh all the options.... then decide....
Keep on planning that trip! Sometimes anticipation is better than realization..... at least that's what my Mom used to say.........
-
momma sure are smart. At least mine was
-
Mine too! My kids however think they are smarter than me. (Does this change with time and perspective?)
-
Patty, wouldn't it be nice if your current treatment takes care of tumor in your hip also?? Does it seem like you are climbing a mountain with little energy? I agree with Ms. Chevy. You do need to weigh your options before deciding. In the meantime, have lots of fun planning your mini vacation.
-
Peppermint.... did you have a dexa-scan....??? It's very easy.... I'm with Loverly.... Maybe your current treatment WILL take care of your hip!
and Feline.... My grown girls just act like they can take care of me now.... Ha! They are happy that we still get around so well... are happy, and nothing wrong with us.... At least physically... They see so how things have changed so MUCH since they were growing up.... and thank us a lot, for trying to do everything right.... And keeping a close eye on us...
Loverly... You are soooooooo sweet!

thanks for the response all. I am leaning toward mo radiation. No decision being made til I talk to radiation Dr. Afraid there are just trying to get more money. Why not wait s couple months and see if tx works .
Beautiful day here. Supposed to e almost 70°. Not sure the exact temp but I don't even need a jacket. A little sunshine goes along way in positive mental health.
Hootie hoo

Patty, all decisions have consequences. You are in a tough spot. Make sure you are well informed before making any decisions. Prevention and quality of life are both important. Also, trust should be established between a patient and provider. Praying for wisdom for both you and docs.
Ms. Chevy, you have not met my evil twin yet. Haha!
-
goodmorning.
-
MORNING guys! So cold and snowy here! Big one coming in tonight.... stay warm out there!
-
-
stay in and stay warm dear sweet chevy.
-
Peppermint! We are all alone here! Let's just fix up a pot of coffee and sit and talk.... okay?
-
Our neighbor's just left for Cabo !!! Coming home Wednesday.... AFTER this blizzard they say is coming in.... Guess I'll just go crochet....
-
Ms. Chevy, there are other people lurking. Just did not want to hurt your feeling. We had 77 degree yesterday and it will be 82 today and 84 tomorrow! Won't enjoy hot coffee with you and Patty, I need some ice cream😅
-
Love what you did with that phone booth, Chevy.
-
Eeyore....
-
Patty, your MO wouldn't have any financial interest to be gained from referring you to radiation. Lot of work and fatigue for you...but you've trusted your MO so far so maybe at least go to meet the RO with an open mind. I have no experience with it so I'm not trying to encourage you either way, just that the MO would profit financially sending you to RO
-
love the phonebooth.
Your right chevy. It sure is quiet here today. I hope it's because ever one is out having fun.
-
Hi, Loverly Monkey. The year of the monkey is coming soon. Keep posting those lovely monkeys!!!
-
The worst thing about doing rads is going. Every. Single. Day. Of. The. Week.
-
Just catching up with all you gals - the school is in the middle of our winter carnival, and things are crazy. We've got book fair, open house, talent show, volleyball tournament, spaghetti dinner fundraiser, every day there is something going on.
I love the picture of the phone booth. Our students did a yarn bomb of a bunch of trees and stuff downtown for charity a few weeks ago. We even got the boys crocheting!
-
Okay.... good to see you guys...! Eeyore...where to you live? I want that weather.... Starting to snow again today, and really DARK out.... Maybe 12 inches they say....
Yes Glennie....Hah.... that phone booth took forEVER! I saw a little Volkswagon on Google Images, covered with crochet! I've been taking older pieces apart and adding them onto other "blankets".... I like them a lot better....
Loverly.... Have you ever seen "Coco" with her kitten? That is the cutest video....
