Spookie, I'm trying to figure out how a dog that large got a chair that small over his head. Not sure if the dog or the chair are winning!

Mama, you up? I fell asleep between 8- 11, now wide awake too. I was on Decadron after my brain surgery. Chit, flying in the universe. Talked a blue streak.

Deb with you tomorrow. :) How about some Key Lime pie?

Loverly, with my Brittany Max, I used to have a safe place. He was scolded wherever the problem was and then I would go to the safe place which was the stairs. I'd call him and hold him and love on him. There wasn't a delay. The first time he beat me to the steps was sweet. Historically, Max was the most destructive, but he was also my first dog as an adult. They're was a learning curve as far as how to manage the destructiveness. Max was also the smartest. Once we got the rules established on how to manage the destructiveness, we never had a problem after that. He was amazing.

Consider a second dog. The companionship of another dog may make the world of difference. Mitsy would never be alone. If kenneling is needed, both dogs are together. The characteristics to consider. Spayed female. Older, 4-6. Similar size as Mitsy. Lower energy breed. Put word out to SPCA, pound ,church, and friends that you are interested in adopting a dog that is calm, house trained, with no anxiety issues.

Loverly, So funny. Two dogs together can be wonderful. If the mix is right. They take care of each other. But if the age spread is too much than that can upset the balance. We kept one of the Brittany pups from the second litter. Actually had the female Lady, Max and JB(Jimmy Buffet). Lady was killed when JB was < a year. Max was about 7 then. JB just followed Max's lead in everything. We never had any destructive behavior issues with JB. But we had learned from Max. Then latter after we moved here, Rascal (6months) showed up one day. She was a runner. That did cause some issue's, but we learned. Then when Shatzi came as a pup Rascal was pretty old 12. Dini came when Shat's was 6. Dini's approximately the same age. Dini had all kinds of anxiety abuse issue's. Shat's had a great influence. Dini watched everything with Shat's. I had to train both DBF and Dini. Both are doing excellent. Dini's anxiety issue's are gone. Happy, happy dog. Wig wags all the time.

But the mix has to be right. My Vet rescued a dog that an owner wanted to put down. Yikes, her stories weren't good. Totally upset the balance in the home. The Vet thought she could fix the dog. She said it was a very humbling experience. Will find out this month what happened. Like Smarrty getting rid of her Britt. Sometimes it just doesn't work.

It's a thought. Chew on it awhile :)

I'll bring my lemon drops to the pocket party. It's actually the only sweet I have a taste for after chemo, unless it's pastry - the flakier the better.

I agree with Sassy about another dog, Loverly. Don't know how my two would manage without each other. If you have a smart phone, try the Petfinder app.

Guess I'll hit the sack. Meds are kicking in. Glad I'm not on steroids. When I had them for chemo I couldn't control my bladder. Not sure that's completely restored.

Smarty- love the family photos. That little Evie has a nice head of hair, doesn't she?

Your floors look great. I had my carpeting pulled out and hard wood floors put in their place over the past year or so and just so love them. I hope you enjoy your new renovated space!

Poodles don't shed like other dogs. The fallen hairs stay in and mat. Just look at Spookie funny and she has mats. And sheds. Most people don't keep their Maltese in full coat. I'm a glutton for punishment, but am getting it cut to about 3" next week. She's 8#, Kris is about 20#.

Peppermint.... I'm here! Just trying to not lose patience when dealing with Comcast! What a JOKE! and trying to get a live person to talk to is enough to drive you nuts.... nutser!

Trying to snow.... But Janie is coming over, and we are going to lunch.... So that will be fun.... before the snow really starts up....

Also got my Ipod out.... going to listen to music and read while DH gets his eye done this Thursday.... Those little Ipods are amazing!

    Talk to you later! xoxoxoxo

Smaarty, Love the generations photo. Agreed, you need to get the 5 gen photo done. I have one with me as the baby. I love your sewing space. A cutting table? Sure beats crawling around on the floor.

Believe it or not, they're playing. The little one, Rose, is the boss; if the big guy gets too rough, she puts him in his place.

Then he's all like, I didn't mean it, and she's all like hmph
