leggo, yes, you explained yourself perfectly. Let's talk to the tech team! Thanks for bringing this up!

Mods,
I just reset back to what the settings were and go without the tool-bar. Though it still feels strange not to have the bar, it seems I am able to do most everything I have ever done before. The smiley's don't quite go in like they use too -- but I consider that minor. The best part is that my font is now ok and is back to the much more convenient size. Thanks -- I think as long as it can be this way I'll be ok.

Thanks for the update, Jackie! And as always, let us know if anything changes.
-
Thanks Mods. Also, is there a way or some trick to getting to the middle of a thread that has lots of pages without having to go through a couple pages at a time? I knew there was a way to do it on a pc but can't seem to figure it out on android.
-
Dear leggo,
We will check it out. The Mods

When one page of the topic comes up on your browser pane, like where it says community.breastcancer.org/forum, whatever? At the end of that is a page number, and you can manually change that page number, to try to find the page you are looking for. Or, If you posted on it, you can look back through your posts on your dashboard. I don't know if any of this is possible on android.
-
Leggo,
What Tomboy is suggesting is what we were going to propose -- we, nor our tech team, know of any other way around this.
Click the url in the browser and manually change the page number to a higher number and hit enter. This should jump pages.
We hope this helps!

Tomboy, Mods, thank you. So far I've been unable to get the page # to show on android, but that's probably me not doing something right. I'll keep playing around with it. Thanks again.

Hi Mods, I updated my iPad to iOS 9.1 and I do think the logging situation is better, though for the life of me I can't figure out what the criterion is for when I have to log in!
-
Hi magdalene51, What do you mean by the criterion?
-
In other words, how does the site "decide" to make me log in, when I've not logged out? There is something in its command structure that tells it when to do it and when not to. What elements are necessary for that to happen? Sorry, I'm just too much of a nerd, I guess. It's not really that important.
-
Hmmm Mags, good question -- though we're not sure we have the answer! Perhaps the iOS determines that criteria??
Sorry, wish we could help!
-
No complaints for you today Mods....
just a THANK YOU for all you do. I'm grateful for all of you.
Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate!
-
Awww! So sweet!!! SlowDeepBreaths, thank you, and all you other AMAZING people for all you give us!

I was just trying to find a topic I had replied to, and went to the dash since I forgot to add it to my faves to see a reply. So but what I then noticed, is that there is a discrepancy between what time it says someone posted there, but when you go to the page, it says a completely different time. It was confusing to mah brain, because it was telling me there was a new post from 2 hours ago, but when I clicked on the page, it was an older post from 12 hours ago! Don't know why! But I am not actually asking you to DO something about it today, hope you are taking friday off, like me!
-
Dear Tomboy, We are here but can't replicate the glitch. When we try the same the timing of the posts are the same. Can you just keep us posted if it continues to occur at your end and we will check it out. Happy Day After Thanksgiving. The Mods

I realized today that my HER2 test was not done by FISH, but by IHC (reflex to FISH was not necessary as the result was 0). I'd like to correct this on my diagnosis in my signature, but I can't seem to figure out where this was set. When I go back to My Diagnosis, and edit, all I have is the question about whether I was HER2 positive. I can't figure out where I checked FISH. How can I change this?

Hi, Mods -
Sorry to add to your work load, but there seems to be a problem with formatting of PMs.
I generally leave a space between paragraphs when I type but now when I post the paragraphs are all crushed up together, which is definitely hard on the eyes.
This happens on my desk top computer, where I've never had formatting issues in the past.
Any suggestions? (As you can see, it does NOT happen with messages on the open discussion boards, just the PMs.)
Have a good week!
-
Hi Hopeful,
We're checking it out for you.
Hang tight and we'll get back to you soon!
The mods
-
Thanks, Mods!
No rush but I know it can't be fixed if no one is aware of the issue and is easier to ID if dealt with sooner rather than later.
Thanks for looking into it. -
I have to reset my password every time I log in. It's ridiculous
-
Dear LRFTexan, Thanks for letting us know. We will investigate. The Mods
-
Some hackers have taken over the discussion boards, all sorts of Chinese (?) and hieroglyphics.
-
yeah. The active board has just a few readable topic titles. Most of what shows on page 1 is just diagnosed and waiting for test results. As the Forum titles are legible and the dates. Also I just replied on TES a Beginners Primer and that shows up ok. So does this one. All else is the weird characters looking as previous poster said, like Chinese. It goes up to page 4. Good luck!
-
Sorry about the spam attack earlier, and thanks to you who reported them.
We're doing our best to keep it under control.
The Mods
-
Asian language spam attack in progress right now !!!My finger is sore from pushing the report button😉.
-
I sent the Mods a PM about it. This is crazy!
-
Mods is there anyway to avoid getting zillions of Do Not Reply messages when we report these things? Or do you recommend that we only report one and that you can take it from there.
Kathy -
Kathy, I use a Gmail account for my BCO mail, and since I've been known to report spammers too, I did this:
- Log in to the account at Gmail, and click the Settings logo (it looks like a little flower symbol)
- From the Filters and Blocked Addresses menu in Settings click Create a New Filter and add do-not-reply@breastcancer.org).
- When you're done, it'll look like this, if you've selected to Delete the email:

Of course this is specific to Gmail, but most other free or commercial software will have its own filtering options to do the same thing.
-
Like LRFTexan above, every time the site "decides" to log me out, I have to reset my password when I log in. Every time I log in. Android phone.
