Mods, I have been wanting to go back and read some of my very first posts, mostly to see how how unhinged I was in the very beginning , basically just to see who helped me, and to find the women who helped me when I was crazy! I did try this about a year and a half ago, and seemed to work fine. So, I just tried it again a couple days ago, imagine my surprise when I found I had a hundred pages of posts! Also, I wanted to use them to jog my memory, as I have been doing a lot of writing about this.
So, when I tried this time, when I clicked on the post in my dashboard, it took me right to my post on the first couple, but then after just a few posts, it started taking me to just some random page. It was in the right topic, but just somewhere in the middle of it, sometimes a whole year earlier. It's not that it is taking me to the last page read, because some of these are in my favorites, and I am up to date on them. It just seems to take me to whatever page. I really want to read them, or copy them, for my notes, and I have no way of guessing which page my posts are really on. It is just making this much harder than it should be, especially since I can only go back a few pages at a time. I did try to hit 'edit', and that does take me to what I had written, but, it doesn't let me see the final form after editing. You know, the page it is on, with the response or whatever from the next woman? Any ideas on how to help? I would really like to do this.

Hmmm Tomboy, sounds like a glitch we'll have to report to our tech team for their insight. We'll let you know what we find out!
-
Thanks, mods! I really would like to have acsess to all my scribblings!
-
Tomboy, we've gotten word that the problem you were seeing has been fixed now. Can you try playing around and let us know if you're still having issues, or if it has in fact been resolved? Thanks!
-
Sure! Thank you, Modsquad!
-
You did it! Thank you so much! Now I have so much work ahead of me, better get it done while I can! Excellent!! Your tech team is miraculously talented, and thanks for fixing this issue, even though I was the only one who 'complained'! You guys are running a great ship!

Mods - having problems sending a private message. When I click on that link under the members record, there's a message that says no such function. Thanks in advance.
-
Here's the screen I get when I try to send a private message
Page not found
The web page that you requested cannot be found on this server.
You may want to try the Discussion Boards Search to find what you need, or just start from the All Topics page.
If not, you can might find what you want at the Breastcancer.org home page.
Please contact us if you have any questions, or to report a problem.

I do too.

And somehow the latest "upgrade" screwed up the ability to use "preview" again. Below is the message you get after you check preview & try to choose a previous or following page to check a post.
The page you were looking for doesn't exist.
You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

I'm having difficulty doing a member search. When I put the screen name in I get "We're sorry, that page could not be found". I'm anxiously awaiting someone's response on a vitamin d thread that I can't remember the title of....only the member's name. I can't find it any other way....it's no longer in active topics. Help. Temporary glitch?
-
Hi Mods, I am also having a problem with the search feature. It says....
We're sorry.
There was a problem executing your search. Please try again later.
-
Hi all! We went through a system upgrade recently, so that may explain some of the glitches you're finding. Clearing your cache and cookies, and logging back in should help. Once the system is upgraded, any leftover cookies from the old system may cause issues.
Hope this helps, and sorry for the inconveniences. Please let us know if you keep having problems.

I cleared my cache and cookies. Still having the same issue with the search function.
-
I've cleared - preview still not working. Using a desk top computer.
You can start a post & select preview and the message is there in the new "preview window". But when you select an earlier page, or a page forward (for example to re-read a message before completing a post) - the preview pane just disappears.
-
"Search" is definitely broken.

Like others, I cleaned my cache. -
Mods,
Out of complete frustration --- I tried something on my own --- I went to Internet options, clicked on Accessibility, unchecked the second two boxes which were checked there, then came back here. My tool bar is now back on my page. I do not care for the typing font, and I haven't actually tried to use anything in the toolbar ( I will soon ), but at least I do have what seems standard to me again.
Thanks,
Jackie

.....my search function hasn't been working for two days! Please hurry!
-
Our tech team is still working on this, as we are not all seeing the problem. What is the computers you are using, your browser and any other info you can provide. This would help us out! Thanks so much!
-
The Search should be fixed now!! ! So sorry for the glitch!
-
Google Chrome on pc, Dolphin on android. When I search, error message is either "page not found" or "problem executing your search". I've had both messages on both pc and android. I don't see a pattern between the two messages or the two devices....seems totally random.
-
Just tested preview again. It's still erasing that pane when you try to refer to previous posts. Again - I'm on a desk top using Firefox & Windows. If it helps, this is a similar problem to one that we had a number of months ago after a previous update. Maybe the solution will be similar.

Mods,
Some further notes on things. First off, I'm stuck in a font that for me is a bit hard to read and since I can't go to accessibility and over-ride anymore it seems I am stuck with it. As well, though my tool bar is back the icons look slightly different with a new one which says 'deleted' when I hover over it. Also, although I can drop pictures in pretty much as I was doing, I now resize the older method from the corner with the dotted lines that run through.
Just saying that the update seems to have traveled backward in a couple of parts. Also note that I can't seem to drop in a link anymore, but have to use the link icon and it does not light up in blue --- but it did open right up for me. Hope it does for others trying to use it. Interesting, but the font is something I truly hate. I believe the font I was using ( which comes on Windows 7 ) was Calibri which was really smooth and easy on the eyes. I find this one on here nearly painful in comparison.
Thanks
Jackie

I'm just wondering why I have to keep logging in. Until recently, I would pretty much stay logged in until I went to a different device (laptop to iPad to iPhone for intstance). But now when I leave a page or go to another tab or window, I have to log in again to post. Is this a feature or a bug?
-
Hi magdalene! It shouldn't be like that indeed. Is this happening with all of your devices? It would be helpful to know also the browser and operating system you're using.
Jackie, are you still experiencing those issues with fonts?
We're sorry for the inconveniences and hope we can help!

In the search function, I can't search for anything with a hyphen in "keyword". It just leaves the hyphen out when I submit.
-
Hi mods. I have only noticed it with my iPad because that's the device I mostly post from. I keep BCO open on a tab all the time, and go back and forth to FaceBook etc. On my laptop I usually just open it once, post, then close, so haven't noticed there. I'll try it later today and get back to you. I'm using iOS 7.1.2 on my iPad.
-
leggo, you are correct! However, it still seems to pull up all the results, even without the "-". Did you find that it cannot search correctly?
magdalene51, have you restarted your iPad?
-
Thanks for checking. Yes, it'll pull up results, but only if they're posted that way. For instance, if I search for "her2-positive", I'll only get results typed "her2positive", which is only a fraction of what used to show up. Or, another example, "Y-90", I only get results of "Y90", again, only results that actually read "Y90", or "T-DM1", etc. Anything hyphenated, actually. Before, it would show the hyphenated versions (and non-hyphenated, actually). Now I only get results if they were typed that way, without the hyphen because the search function won't accept it any other way. Hope I'm explaining myself.
