Cinque, a little bit naughty is fine....especially during treatment! After each radiation treatment I always gave myself a little treat.....sort of like the lollipop for the kid who visited the doctor!

So Monday I did a circuit class in the morning😊pt with my trainer in the arvo☺Tuesday rest day and today my six km walk to work.  The chemo fatigue is definately cumulative and although its hard to commit to exercise I always feel better for it.  Bed time off to the gym in the morning.

Hi Suersis happy to hear your back on track.  Weight creeps on so easily.  Good nnutrition and regular exercise is key.  You're so right we dont need another health issue.Big pat to your social dog he sounds pawsome.

Suersis, yes, exercise and keeping a healthy weight has a lot of benefits.

About 7 years ago my blood pressure was creeping up and the Dr started to suggest Meds but I lost weight and got it under control so that's a big incentive for me to keep up the good work

Hello girls hows the exercise and nutrition going?  Just managed a little nanna walk Saturday turns out Docetaxel chemo sucks.  Its wiped out my taste buds so it was easy to avoid naughty food seeing I cant taste it.  Loaded up on protein though need to build muscle.  Mum started Xmas baking...tis the season.  Happy week to all remember to keep moving and feed your body with healthy food.

Hello everyone! Kathy, glad your doing well. Cinque, hope things are improving.

Personally, I've not been doing well....my niece died unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago, she had been unwell for a couple of years and was found at home by a neighbour....then a friend has had a recurrence of her BC, triple negative.

    I just want big (((hugs)))

Isnt human touch, hugs, the most powerful force.  While I was having chemo the other day a lovely elderly volunteer was giving me raki i probably spelt that wrong.  She basically lays her hands on you and transfers energy I know sounds like mumbo jumbo...anyway she broke down in tears she apologized she wasn't meant to talk about it but she lost her beloved daughter Sally to cancer in April.  We both stopped cryed and hugged we were strangers 20 minutes before.  I was so glad we met we both needed a hug sometimes there are just no words.  Strength and courage my ladies.

This chemo wad shit but its behind me now.  I am proud to say through proper nutrition and eexercise I have not put any weight.  Just about to do stretching session.

Kindergarten best of luck with your Doctors appointments.  Will keep you in my prayers as I will you Tammy I cant hug you but I can prayer.

Did any of you girls have sex through chemo if I put some effort in Im sure I could burn some calories I just have no desire....damn cancer used to be one of my favourite things.

Cinque, thank you....what a beautiful story....and yay to you for taking care of yourself!

I'm sure the desire will come back 😉 I didn't have chemo but towards the end of radiation my priority was completely internally focused and I think I shut my soul mate out. I started running the day after I finished treatment and finally got back to something approaching normal!

HI Everyone, My Name is Denise

I'm wandering the halls here looking for a good board to join that I can be accountable I guess. I've gained like over 20lbs since I started treatment 18 months ago. I'm on Arimidex so I'm not sure if that is part of the problem, but I also have a job where I could sit at a desk all day if I don't have someone to show homes to. I plan on resigning from this position in the next 30-40 days so I can focus on my health more. It's been a great ride, but this job is not exactly one you leave at the office.

I joined a training center almost a year ago and have never gone because I can't get motivated to go early in the morning. I get off work at 6:00 and with our schedule, it isn't going to work out going after that time (takes 30 min to get home). So when I resign from the job, I can go to the yoga classes and the water aerobics they offer at the center.

I've always been a size 4 and typically weigh around 125lbs ideally. I'm busting out of the 6's, actually some don't even fit anymore that I wore just last winter. UGH

    Hi Denise

Welcome.  I haven't started hormone medication yet but I will early next year Im worried about weight gain but I have to take medication and hope for best.  Im pleased to hear you have a plan to get your weight back to what makes you happy.  I find morning is the best time for me after that initial getting out of bed which sucks I always am so glad I did. Working, running a house and coping with treatment is a lot for us to deal withby the end of the day I have no energy left.  So if I get my exercise done first thing I know it's done.  Find something you like yoga, walking, circuit class...whatever and make a commitment to yourself to stick it out for six weeks.  By the end of that period you will have formed a new habit.  I love boxing and thats usually got some hot trainer sparring against you..talk about getting your heart rate up☺  Cant wait to see your posts and what exercise you and end up doing.  Good luck.

Hi Denise, Sounds like you're motivated and have a plan and that's half the battle! Like Cinque, I like to exercise first thing so that no matter how crazy the day gets, and sometimes they do, I've at least achieved something I set out to do 😀

Dear Tammy, ((((HUGS)))), I am so sorry for the loss of your niece and diagnosis of your friend. Life can be so difficult at times. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

Hello ladies and hello to our new ones that have stopped by. Sorry I have been MIA for a bit. Sorry to report no news on the weight loss, staying about the same. I guess not too bad since my birthday, husband's birthday and Halloween have passed. I need to get through Thanksgiving now. I made a big pot of chicken soup and a pot of cabbage/vegetable soup yesterday. I will be eating well up until Thursday. My PMR is still kicking my ass, not great success on increased exercise but I am walking, Still on the same amount of prednisone for now..l'm hanging tough! I ramped up my water and green tea intake.

Have a wonderful week ladies and best wishes that you enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends! xoxo

Hi Tenaj I think staying the same is pretty good.  With your soups water and tea you should see some movement in those damn scales and if not at least you know its good for your insidez to eat this way.

Ive had 10 days of not so well after last chemo and got my taste sort of back late yesterday.  I ate like there was no tomorrow and at 8 last night drove through and grabbed a burger and chips.  I felt like a naughty teenager but god it was so good.

Back onto exercise today I think its abs day in the gym.

I think once I quit my job I can start working out in the mornings. I could do it at 7am not a problem. My routine now is to get up, drink a cup of coffee, get on the computer and work (check emails etc). Then get ready for work!
