KiwiCatMom, thank you for that wonderful story about Woody. Such a sweet wee one! It breaks my heart to imagine how he ended up on that log, but so thankful those caring teenagers came at the right time and rescued him!
Hugs to the rescuers and to the busy volunteers at Kitten Inn

Oh my word Kiwi, I just saw your post about Woody being accepted by another mama cat at Kitten Inn - this story is the best ever!! That photo brings a few tears, but good tears lol!!
-
Those baby faces and little ears!
The little torti mom cat I posted a while back has taken Woody on. Sadly, one of her babies passed away, but she accepted Woody with no drama whatsoever. The other kittens weren't thrilled for about the first 30 minutes, but they're all good now.
-
Terre, I think it's a wonderful ending to a sad story, but I can't help but wonder how on earth this kitten got onto a log. I hope that there wasn't more kittens out there....
But I am very glad to hear that the tortie mom took him in. I just love torties. Thanks for posting these stories & pictures. Cheers, Dee

Tinker between my legs since I got home. He has been close by which is highly unusual for him

Great post Sas! Love Tinker!
-
Woody and his step-kittens. The black and white one is huge! From the same litter as the rest (except Woody) and like double the size. Got to see them all last night; most of them are fluffy.Woody is the black on in the centre.
-
Smaarty, hope everything is ok with Tinker? I always get a little concerned too when one of our pets starts acting differently for no apparent reason. They really are like our kids!
Thanks Sas for the BCO post, good reminder.
Kiwi, soooo sweet! Woody fits in perfectly with his new family

not a great picture but a rare moment all the kitties are tolerating each other. It didn't last long. Dusty follows Starkist around constantly but Ralph doesn't care for Dusty much. Must be a guy thing.
-
CAMommy, it must have been a riveting TV programme that got them together!
-
Looks like a good way to spend a Saturday morning!
-
CAMommy, that would be a rare moment for my 3 cats too lol! Glad to see they are adjusting after the big move
I agree Ruth!

Spookie- total good timing. Waiting to fly to the south island in gale force winds. 160 km/hr. About a cat3. ☺
-
Stay safe!!
-
Landed safely but people were screaming. A flight attendant threw up. Everyone cheered when we landed. We were on a small plane and it was beyond bumpy. Winds only 150 km/hr not 160 though. ☺
-
On a happy note..more Kitten Inn babies. Different litters. The little black one is just learning how to play. Love that his mom photobombed the photo. The one on the bottom has been named Angel. She has a permanent smile.

There's a bit of a heat wave in Napier, about 1/2 way up the north island. And Dusty says, yeah, it's that hot. Dusty belongs to a former KI volunteer. Former because they moved to Napier a couple of weeks ago. Much warmer than Wellington! Dusty has, in my opinion, some of the most magnificent ear hair I've ever seen. His head has always been black; his body was gray when he was a kitten and is now turning more black.
-
Kiwi, your plane ride sounds terrifying. Glad you made it safe. I love your pics from the Kitten Inn!
-
Very impressive ear hair (and plane ride) hope that you will have a smooth and easy trip home.
-
Glad to hear you made it safely. I was on one like that once. Once was plenty.
Really impressive ear hair. We had a young cat at the shelter that had normal ears and those kind of tufts on her head just back of her ears. No one had ever seen that before. Similar gray coloring with white tufts.

Spookie that reference chart was very helpful and timely, I can imagine now what poor Kiwi had to endure...
Kiwi so glad you managed ok in that cat3 storm! Lovely little Angel kitten. But poor Dusty, he is definitely overdressed for the weather. Oh to be in a heat wave... we are just settling into fall with some cooler temperatures. Here is something we don't see too often at our place... our cats get along pretty well, but they don't usually cuddle with each other. It has been particularly windy, maybe a cat 1, and Prowler and Sweetpea are napping head-to-toe...

Hi ruth

Hi blondie!
This was one Facebook, too cute.....
-
Ruth you found a true micro-kitty!
-
For some reason this really made me laugh this morning... thinking these quotes are from the Bionic Man theme song?
