both at the vet.. went better than i thought. The older one kept the young one calmer.. totally didnt see that coming. both were on their best behavior..again.. didnt see that coming. see the cupboard to the left? Binx ( fluffy one) kept standing up... opening the door.. and going inside.. then would come out again.. then stand up... lean back and open the door...the vet and tech kept giggling at him
Then he left it open so willow went and checked it out. no one peed in the carrier, no hissing at anyone or each other, no scratching or biting. overall id consider this a very successful intro to the new vet
Moms nerves are shot however *faints*

Beautiful kitties! Love the Christmas tree topper. And kitties in the fridge. And babies on good behaviour at the vet.
The kittens must be happy about the sunshine because they're hooning around like little mad creatures.

I'm finally posting the third cat, Nia. She practically lives in this window. When my cat and I moved in with my boyfriend in July, I officially became a cat lady! With his 2, we now have 3 They are tolerating each other well but I don't expect them to cuddle anytime soon!
My kitty, Dusty.
And Lia, sister of Nia.

Loving all these new feline photos!!
Ruth thank you for finding the Christmas Cat Tree Topper photos... priceless!!! The first photo really gives a good perspective, your kitty calmly nestled in the top of the tree!! The second photo is particularly endearing, such a sweet close-up and you can almost feel the movement of the tree lol!!! That's your guardian angel kitty I think? What an angel, in more ways than one
) I love these photos of her!!
The inside-the-fridge cat photos are really blowing me away, I have never seen a cat do that in all my years as a crazy cat lady, hilarious!!!
Panthrah I'm glad you had good luck at the vet clinic this week too. Honestly I understand, the cats get stressed but I get stressed x 100000!! The wide-eyed kittys in the clinic photo tell the tale
KiwiCatMom, so good to hear that those wee babies are happy and enjoying the sunshine
And Julie, what beautiful photos of your newly formed cat clan! KiwiCatMom will tell you that "3 cats does not a crazy cat lady make..." And FeelingFeline had some wisdom given to her about just adding a dog to the cat clan and then you are classified an "animal lover" and not a "crazy cat lady".I just love them all, all critters great and small.

we were all set to move today but woke up to a sick kid, looks like food poisoning. So we are spending (an expensive) 2 extra days at a hotel here in San Francisco. Kitties are with us.
Ralph is Mr. chill
Starkist is none to happy. If this isn't an angry cat face, I don't know what is
Dusty is hiding under the bed.
-
Dusty came out
-
CAMommy I feel for you. I hope your little sick person is feeling somewhat better. Food poisoning, thats rough at the best of times let alone during a major move and more traveling coming up. Ralph appears to be taking it in stride but poor Starkist does look a little distraught. Wow the Dustman looking like he's right at home! Quite the change from hiding under the bed. Maybe the Dustman and Ralph being calm will eventually help Starkist. Hope things start going in the right direction really soon!
-
Julie - Lia looks like our Turbo. Dusty is lovely! Nia looks like she views you as papparazzi.
Poor CA Mom - food poisoning in a hotel with cats. Not fun! Here's hoping that your son gets well quickly and you can be on your way. And I'm sure your kitties will be fine; they do recover from horrific trauma, such as travel, quite quickly. Sending you good thoughts!
-
CaMommy hope your child feels much better really soon, poor lamb.
-
Thanks, Ladies, He's feeling much better today. I think we all needed a day or two to recover from getting the house ready. I know I did, having just finished rads the day before. Kitties are happy in their new home here. I'm pretty sure they think this is it. lol. They will be in for a surprise when I load them up again tomorrow morning for the big trip on the airplane. But the good news is no one peed in their crate yesterday and we had about a 45 minute drive from our old house to San Francisco Airport.

Kitties Rock!
-
Thinking of you & the traveling cats, CAM.
Yes, the tree climbing/refrigerator sitting cat is my naughty guardian angel. Here is another picture of her I found when digging for the others.
-
Rock & Ruth - what beautiful babies!
And speaking of babies...how many can you count in this photo?
Newest arrivals at Kitten Inn.
-
7 kitty babies?
-
-
Actually 6. But does look like 7 in the pic. They're one day old.
-
so tiny so cute
-
This is their mum. Wish I could figure out how to share facebook videos here; there's a couple of her with the babies and they're adorable. Four more pregnant momcats ready to pop any day.
-
Mommy cat is so tiny. Glad she was able to have her babies on a soft clean blanket and not on the cold hard ground.
-
Those kittens are nice and shiny. Looks like a good Mom.
-
Love the kittens. What a beautiful tortoiseshell momma.
Wren any luck finding your cat's harness?
I felt like you did when Arthur lost his anti-birding collars!
Nice cat story, My cousin in UK long been a cat person but married a birdwatcher, cats at home didn't seem to be on the agenda. They have a son age 9. Only child, lonely. Cousin raises possibility of pet, cat a better option than dog as they both work long days. Surprisingly bird hubby LIKES cats, just not keen on unnecessary carnage. Fast forward to: Trip to shelter last week to choose rescue cat. Their son says the cat they choose is to be called "Lucky". When they got to the shelter there was a rehabilitated road accident victim, (lost his tail in the accident, it had to be amputated). Guess what the shelter had called him - "Lucky".
Guess what cat they chose
-
KiwiCatMom- Momma cat is so cute! I wish I could adopt her. My son is looking for a tort/calico kitty. Possible? But I'm in the US.
-
Feline, what a cute story. Actually brought a tear to my eye. KCM, love the tortie mom with babies. Thanks all for posting pics of your babies. I come to this thread almost everyday. GG
-
Hi GG!
-
Hi FF! Just saw your great pic along with your daughter on the other thread, lovely.
-
FF, The next door neighbor found it on his large front porch. So happy we don't have to spend $$ for another one.
-
Yaaay
-
Hooray at harness find! GG - Yea! Happy you're here! FF - love the adoption story. That's so great.
Moni - torti mum actually has a home to go back to. When people can't cope with kittens for whatever reason, Kitten Inn takes the pregnant moms (or moms and new babies) and takes care of them (foster care usually) until the kittens are weaned and over 1 kg. The kittens get desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea'd and wormed, and adopted out. The momcat gets desexed, microchipped, etc., and goes back to her owner. That's what happened with the momcat I fostered and I'm still in touch with her owner.
-
What a wonderful thing to do!!!
-
KiwiCatMom- thanks for the information. I am very happy to hear she has a home! Sad it will not be mine. My son wanted to get her today! Haha, he would take all the kittens too! He is going to be the 'crazy cat guy'! I've kept him to 3 cats, 2 dogs and 20 chickens!
