    Spookie.... thanks! I looked at them on-line.... What brand is it? I'm going for a physical in November, and I'll ask the PCP if they can order one.

    You know, after I broke my hip, they DID have me connected to those compression things on my legs.... They kept "moving" .... I guess to keep the circulation going....... Thanks for the note!

    Wren can you believe how cool it's been? Oy... sweltering summer and then bang.. cool and chilly. We still need the rain. Enerva you must be cold too, up there in Ontario. Thanks for the well wishes. Smarty thank you for posting all the gorgeous pictures of Ireland. I have enjoyed them all. If I had my health I had thought a garden tour of the UK, Scotland and Ireland would be a real treat.

    Lovof life- I learn something from others almost every day. My old vet used this compounding pharmacy out of the midwest, so we were already familiar. When I switched vets (they take appointments at the new place, old vet was walk in and too long for waits) the pharmacy they used wanted 90$ and I pay 51$ fedx to the house! Can't beat the prices and the cat's labs are good, so it works. Percycat hates the meds..oh well. He is hyperthyroid and would waste away without his meds. I love the cat to pieces so what ever it takes.

    Chevy I hope you get your leg figured out! When they were trying to get my left arm in a sleeve I went to a Physical Therapist who messaged the fluid out and then wrapped it. It took a while but it worked. I know they do legs too. They teach you how to wrap correctly as well. I have heard good things about the machines but never used them. Spookiesmom sounds happy with hers. Hope it gets resolved and you get back to your happy flower filled garden.

    Foots- thank you for your poem. how did your tomatoes turn out? Do you still have visiting humingbirds at your feeder? Jazzy posted some great pics.

    I've heard you can get LE anywhere in your body from any type of surgery or trauma. It's common for us because usually lymph nodes are involved with our surgeries. A PT isn't the best choice, need to see a LE therapist. There is a difference.

    When I was in hospital for neck surgery I had the leg wraps. Was to help prevent blood clots.

    not as much as I'd hoped. I can bend it enough to reach my ear now, but the whole thing looks fat. PCP said sometimes they don't work. Thanks to Humana, my arm was UNtreated for over a year, and maybe it won't ever go down. Just my thought.

    The lymph system is like the forgotten access road. Throughout the body most people are aware of arteries, veins, and nerves. It's like a superhighway. They run together. The lymph system runs along side them, but is rarely identified. It quietly cleans up the byways of garbage. An access road that gets no respect until the superhighway is blocked or it's own work of cleaning the byways is stopped. If the work of the lymph pathways are blocked, the whole system becomes a mess. The superhighway of the arteries, veins, nerves flow can be impaired, blocked, stopped. They're multiple ways to get the highway cleared and the access road cleared too. Using all resources in concert will get things as clear as possible. How it's done though takes a good Incident Commander using the right resources. They're are many similarities to why things occur, but no absolutes. Having an Incident Commander that is trained to access, direct, change approach as situation determines, anticipate new problems with preventive action is the goal. Wish it worked this way

    I say, keep at it. It may take some time, since you were untreated for so long. And bending to reach your ear is an improvement.

    Loverly - not much going on here. I'd just gripe about DH's money grubbing bad tooth lol.

    I've actually been cleaning a little. You can see how far behind my newspapers are since I just stumbled on the Grimmy 8-24 cartoon today.

    I don't think so Sas, why? The ear swab showed some bacteria, and yeast. I hate this ear med, it's greasy. Making a mess of her entire left face. She also got a foot issue going on. Probably both from dog park, but Kris is ok.

    Lilgoats, I took two days to clean the House Box. The house box has all the house stuff since we moved in in 1992. Warranties, records for remodels, stuff.

    I finally found the records for the roof replacement, in 2004, in a file labeled by DH as" Hurricane Ivan". I laughed---a mystery, what could be in here. Being able to verify roof replacement is a big deal as I know all of you know. All the records are there, including the county inspection report.

    Remember the days that you could add every improvement i.e. a switch plate to the cost basis of the house to off set capital gains on a house. The law was changed so many years ago. I kept more than I had too. I guess I did b/c of the negative experience of the bathroom flood and the Hartford being such an ass. But it's all nice and tidy now. I threw out a black bag full of stuff.

    I know! I miss teasing her! I Think she is in the middle of radiation therapy.

    Goats, how is hubby doing? No fun to have crown, let alone infection on top of that. I have a few myself from not having dental care in my childhood years and also from grinding my teeth in my sleep

    Well Loverly it now looks like endodontist is going to have to do some "scooping" out of infection area, incision and all. He goes for a 3D scan from an oral surgeon next week. Because of DH's work schedule, endo's schedule and something I had already promised DD I would do for her we can't do scooping until Oct. 2. I hope the Augmentin holds the infection back until then. I'm really kinda wishing DH would go to the oral surgeon to get it done but endo. is going to prorate some of the charges since the root canal was not so successful.

    To top it off I have a bit of a cold. Not the worst I've had but I put off going into town today because of it.

    We are due for a hot weekend but really today was nice for this time of year. About 15 years ago it was 110 on Labor Day so know it can be worse.

    Sassy - what do you know about Halcion? That's what they're giving him pre-op b4 surgery. DH is pretty drug naive. I've taken way more stuff than he has but I've never had any sleepers or benzos. DH is a big guy 6'1" about 180.

    Anyone had any drugs for dental pain recently? Hydrocodone has no effect on him. Last stuff he had was Darvocet which I know is off market and don't think he took much of it anyway. He usually just toughs it out but don't think that will happen with this. I cleaned out oodles of old bottles out of his cabinet a couple of months ago. I need to peel the labels off and trash them. Guess I could see what old dentist gave him for pain.

    Yay dog is on new food and has not been barfy since last weekend. My vet had suggested maybe she was reacting to the salmon. So now she's on lamb/oatmeal. I keep her chicken/wheat free.

    RosiePosie - I vote with getting a permanent drainage catheter. Hope you can talk doc into it. Of all people I know you can manage it.

    Sassy - I'm slowly working my way thru a giant storage box that DH dumps (until it overflowed) bills into. It is huge, I bought it as a temp. home for a house goat baby so you can tell it's really deep.

    spooks, my lymph people, told me that my arm won't get smaller unless the pathways ( like sas said) are cleared. So I am suppose to get massages on tummy area, lots of nodes there, to clear pathway for arm fluid. If it doesn't have a clear path it won't go down a ton. My tummy is larger than normal now too. I am going to start the massage thing In the next few weeks. Had to get remodeling paid off first. We should both try and compare notes :)

    So,busy with mom stuff. Waiting for the conference after her 3 hour appt for memory loss. My brother won't do anything without the report. Passive neglegence. We will here sometime next week.

    Goats, is hubby taking Motrin with his Norco? Maybe, you can ask for Norco 10 instead.

    Thanks Loverly. He doesn't have anything now for pain. Just taking his Advil. He must have a higher pain tolerance than I do. Our previous dentist said some people just don't respond to hydrocodone. Hopefully endo. will have something up his sleeve. He has it on a Thursday and goes back to work on a Monday

    But thank goodness I had some probiotics. The Augmentin has done a number on his stomach but much better after one dose yesterday. And he's careful to check with me b4 taking it so I can double check the timing.
