I would have reported himto HR. I don't think the guy will be back because I sent him away to a different business. Hopefully, he doesn't harass another person.

Busy today. Did two new threads

Susan, This one is for you. What I love about searching is the searches as much find info for me as for someonelse AND it's so fun when it's a surprise. What this search identified is explained in the topic box. I know of at least two drugs---amlidopine for Bp and the benzo's that I have taken since the beginning of BC that may have contributed to eczema problems. Since I new what I had to do to complete what I wanted for today, I didn't look at the whole list to see if other drugs I have taken contributed problems over time and particular periods of time. Just as Chevy had to diagnose her hearing loss by searching on her own and her contact dermatitis problem with Lacey's spray stuff, I have more of an answer to my eczema issues that may be drug related. THANK YOU :)

    https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/73/topic/834699?page=1#post_4485599

The other thread is a related to links for searching. They are evidence based meaning they are peer reviewed scientifically based search engines.

    https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/73/topic/834695?page=1#idx_5

Susan, they're is more to do on your question, but I think I'm done for the day :)

Loverly- I bought my DD2 a fake wedding ring to wear at work when she worked at Kohl's. There were several attempts to get her to date and work at bars! It made her uncomfortable at work and scared to walk to her car in the parkade. She had to give fake phone numbers to get them to leave! Way back when I was single and working for the dept of surgery there was a manager there that just would not take no for an answer. I was just 27 and very intimidated by his authority over me and found it difficult to stand up. Finally in a fit of frustration (he announced that "we would do lunch" apparently without regard to consent) I went into the Chief of Surgery's office and blew a gasket! This surgeon was older and had 6 daughters so he knew the score with women being harrassed! When I was done venting and he calmed me down... like a Dad... said "no worries girl, I will take care of it!" I don't know what he said to him, but he NEVER bothered me again... I was politically/ socially off limits. I was thrilled. I had a boyfriend (DH to be was in graduate school). Oy the things women have to put up with!

Mags it sounds like your PCP is a keeper! Whew I know the relief. I finally got a good one too. Hope your pain gets relieved. This crap about not treating pain is absurd. I hope the shot works as well as before.

Mom- glad your essay got sent off! Wish you luck on the next one. Hi to all.

Loverly, That guy was a sicko. Please, make a report to the security office where you work. They will guide you to what to do at work. I ,also, suggest you make a police report. They will, also, guide you what to do. If that guy was so blatant out of control with you, it's not the first time. That's the importance of the police report. They may have other reports. By reporting you may cause him to be apprehended in relationship to crimes committed. He's more than just a jerk. Please, go to your local precinct and make a report.

Rosie, those kind of guys will ALways do that! They never learn......... Good for you! You shut him DOWN! Cooled his jets! But it does make you feel good............. in a weird sort of way.......

No-one ever asks me for a date anymore.... Hah! Just the gal at Walmart........... Now THAT is sick. But other than people saying they like my purse of my top, I get no further comments........

Mags..... I didn't come close to having the problems you do....... Mine was the Ls4 and 5.......... Both herniated, and blood coagulated, causing me to get a double Laminectomy, but THAT stopped the Sciatica right after the surgery! So how will they fix you? Can they do something? Damn, girl! What caused your problems....? Does it have anything to do with Arthritis, or some bone problem?

Okay.... I'm searching for those Firemen Loverly so obligingly posted......... Maybe if I go out in the alley tonight.... looking for that pole......

Made beef bourguignon in the crock pot today-----------the smells our devine. Hope DBF likes it. He had a very limited palate when we met. Now he's open to most things.

Rosie your Chief of Surgery was very different than mine. 1975 my first time scrubbing on my own with him. He broke scrub came behind me as the resident and I were finishing the case. He grabbed my butt, and said "Nice job". I thought what do I do, he's chief of surgery? Not long after that, I was scrubbed with him again. He turned and said "Suture" while simultaneously grabbing my boob. I moved out of his reach and held the needle holder with the suture in it and asked "Where would you like it?". The room went silent. The residents jaw visibly dropped behind his mask. He never touched me again. How docs behaved in the 70's radically changed in a few short years. It was shocking when I first went into the OR, but us youngins that when in about the same time 74 & 75 made a real difference in the OR I worked in. The stories I won't tell OH my.

Just looked at the schedule to see what we are reading next week for class, no surprise there, more Edgar Allen Poe! Wouldn't mind if we had to read his work "The Raven" but no, more sick stories! Will be glad when we are done with him!

Chevy, that's what the report said--Arthritis, bone spurs, curvature, and narrowing on multiple levels. Mags lumbar is a mess like your's was.

Quennie, I was reading Mags report and thought Chit she's as bad as Queenie and Chevy. There you are in the next post offering condolences.

Mags :( , but............. I have four bulging discs on the lumbar level. Bulging to the right. Swimming is my saving grace. Once you get the new report and new plan. Ask what medical modalities might help besides shots>. surgery. Swimming is considered a medical management, but of course doesn't work for everyone. Physical therapy is another medical management approach. Didn't work for me. The whole car fiasco of last year where I bought the Prius. The seat made the hips and lumbar scream. It was a very expensive lesson. VERY. Thousands. After trading the Prius back in after 5 weeks and getting another Toyota minivan. That's why I describe my car seat as the most expensive car seat ever. You however have much more going on in your spine then I do.

Consider a new bed too. Can't describe the difference in total body pain when I got the new memory foam mattress. Consumer Report did a new analysis of Memory Foam mattresses in the not too distant past, but after I bought mine in Jan 2014. I way overspent based on their analysis. But it's delicious to wake up and not feel like I've been beat up.

When I was having so much trouble with my back, it was like the only thing that "almost" helped, was the tough PT I got from the Coors Wellness Center.... But then, the slightest twist, and it all came back.... We tried heat, cold, sleeping on the floor, Ibuprofen, which is just a short-fix. Just got worse...... Even a Chiropractor.... THEN the muscle spasms make it so you can't even stand........ Even the muscle relaxers didn't help....

I went back to the X meat-cutter Chiropractor, and told his partner, that it Did NoT WoRK, and that I was in terrible shape. THAT one fixed it.....

But the only thing that helped, was to get all the squashed stuff out of there, open up the channel that your sciatic nerve goes through, and surgery did it........... Then traction..... blah-blah............. But everybody is different....

So I fell sound asleep in the recliner this afternoon, feet up.... covered up all cozy.... Then the phone rang, and I go waving my arms all around, trying to get OUT of the recliner, without putting the foot-rest down.... I climbed over the whole thing, blanket all tangled up, and fell smack dab on the floor on my butt and my arm.... But it only hurts a little.... and my leg stayed connected! I am such a ditz! COULD have had the phone close to me....! It was Janie.... wondering if we took my car in to get the nail out....! We did....And then I am happy!

    Okay girls........... BBL!

Hi ladies- you are busy here today!

Mags- I am sorry to hear about the spinal deterioration. I hope they can help you with everything you are mentioning they will do from shots, to painkillers, to making your parking and walking experience easier.

Loverly- as single woman, I will tell you I have been hit on by married men my whole life. I had a very bad experience at a corporate job and did report it to HR and it got ugly. This was decades ago before all the safeguards are in place today. The whole Anita Hill thing was going on at the time. Anyways, I am sorry you had to deal with that. I am sure he will go bother some other woman hoping she will say yes. Freak.

This whole Ashley Madison web site thing made me go "what, there is a web site for cheating?" Free enterprise in America, there is a web site for everything.

Chevy- I hope you are okay.

Foots- I am praying for good tests and doctor visits for you. I am sorry about the fires, it does not help those of us with resp. issues. We have had smoke all the way out here in NM from the WA fires and had air alerts here last week. I just don't exercise outside when the air wuality here is bad. Let us know how things go for you with your visits as you would like to share?

I have not heard from Marlanab or Patty for a bit either? They are not on any other threads I am on. Last I heard from Patty was she had some back surgery. I think Marlanab was finishing her last chemo? I hope our friends are okay?

L5S1 has been herniated for ever. Most recent MRI, stenosis, arthritis, DDD.

I'll wait till I can't walk anymore before I'll do something. Unfortunately, the ortho I'd let do surgery doesn't accept my insurance. Bummer.

    But it's not ca!!!!

Wow, Mags,,, **shows paper to the doctor** SEE, this is why I hurt! I got it in the cervical area, myself. Are you getting your MRI at the same place? If so, the radiologist can do a direct comparison between the two images and report the changes. Hoping you get a good report.

Loveroflife: Dang!! What is up with these creeps? They think they are God's gift to women and won't take no for an answer. I guess being married makes them try harder,,, used to stop them. The old days,,,, **sigh**

Ladies, thanks for your support and, may I say, validation! People who don't have problems look at it and say, so what? I include my sweet DH and DC, who, even though they have the occasional ache and pain, have no concept of what kind of structural issues are going on. Doing a little research on that L3 issue that causes the numbness in the thigh muscles, I learned that the reason it happens is that when I'm sitting, the curvature relieves the pressure on the nerve, and when I stand, it compresses.

Glennie, I actually have the MRI on disc for comparison purposes. Very handy.

Sassy, I'm sure swimming would be great, but we've had such a drain on the finances this year I hesitate to ask for a YMCA membership, which is the only pool around.

The injection was a real simple procedure, outpatient, not really surgical, just local anesthetic, in and out. Lasted about 3 years. I had my ortho doc look at the MRI, he said the DDD at L5-S1 is the worst of it, and far beyond operable, though who knows with all the advances in medicine in the past 3 years.

Here's what I want on my gravestone: I told you I was hurting.

Oh Mag. SIGH I hope your PCP can get your pain under control and also no problems with getting your pain meds filled

Freaks, scum bags, or creeps, ....yup, what we women have to put up with.

Jazzy, when I was working at the hospital on the weekends during my college years, a doctor (20 yrs my senior at least) asked me to go to a symphony with him, I politely declined because I was dating someone at the time. I later found out that doc had been married to another doctor....no wonder the similar last names. Jerk!!

praying for all, My breathing is 77, not 100 and so my lungs

are not helping, I found out today they are letting any dogs in

the cancer clinic and cant ask. I have always left faith home

cause dogs can affect people fighting low count, I was told

that was after everyone brought their barking dogs. Its sad

when people abuse, fake and lie, so they can do what they want.

Faith is sending a I love you in her talking way. God bless

Dearest Foots, I pray your lungs will be filled with clean air, and that your sweet Faith will be by your side.

Sassy, I forgot to say, about your bed suggestion, we have a Sleep Comfort bed (the air bed that preceded Sleep Number) with a 4 inch Tempurpedic topper. It's very comfortable, but I still have to move every few hours because my joints start aching when they haven't moved. and just the action of rolling over sends my pain level to a 10. Then back to sleep and repeat.

We just had a "Woody Allen Moment" in the bath tonight. DH stepped into the tub then I heard a gasp and "Holy CHIT!" I came running and said what's wrong? DH says, "look over the tub." There was the hugest, fastest most enormous black spider scrambling to get out. Seriously this sucker was heart attack material. DH says "what I do? Get a shovel?" We just died laughing... flash back to Woody trying the kill the spider in the tub. Anyway neither of us had the nerve to scoop him up, so he got tossed with the toilet scrubber into the toilet.

Tomorrow I will be checking thoroughly, the shower curtain and corners before getting in... where there is one, there is another! Our high today was only 69 degrees, cool and cloudy. Fall is time for spiders making their way in. On that note sleep well...

Hi Foots- prayers your way and hugs and pets for Faith too. I hope you can get some rest and better O2 readings.

It's 4am... I've been up for an hour even with ambien 5mg. Ugh... I can't get comfortable. Can't lay on my stomach..bloated with ascites. Can't lay on my back - can't breathe. If I lay on my sides, it puts pressure on my ribs and on the left they click as I breathe. Highly annoying click click click. They are no doubt broken, as this has happened before. Plus laying on my side makes my hips hurt. So I am laying here typing this waiting for the 2nd percocet to kick in; I took one at 3. The bottoms of my feet are driving me nuts... I'm so tired. It seems life shouldn't be this difficult. I have to drive DH to work at 7 since the car is in the shop. oy..wondering if I should just bail make coffee and sit. I have wondered if I should bother getting a tube placed in my abdomen, so I can drain the ascites myself. Looks initionally painful but would relieve pressure, would it be worth it? Kind of think it might. I see the oncologist on the 8th.. I'll be ready to pop by then. I guess before there were internet sites at 4am... we had journals to write in.. oy! Thanks for listening to me vent, no one gets it like you folks.

Rose- I was thinking about you this morning. Then I read your post. This should not be this hard sister, you need help. I hate that you have to wait until next week to see the MO. If there is something you can get to help relieve the fluid on a regular basis, I say do it. I hope the meds are helping. I am putting you in my morning meditation for relief.

Foots- I am concerned for your breathing. It is unfortunate about not being able to take dogs to a place, especially when she is a service dog you need. I am going to put you and Faith in my morning prayers for help and healing.

Loveroflife- married doctor jerk hitting on you. I worked on a clinical program at one of my hospital sites and worked with a admin physician who was very flirty with me. No wedding band, but I was not interested, would never date anyone from a client site. We had yoga in common and I sent him some info on some yoga retreats one of my teachers was doing. Then he started Facebooking me with pictures of his family. I was not surprised he was married, and figured he was letting me know he had a wife and kids. Later he got upset about something on our program and just yelled at me about something that had nothing to do with me. He did come back quickly to apologize, but I realized he was bat crazy. The guy was just out of control. The hospital ended up letting him go and he left the area. Whew!
