Love the travel picts! I have been to Vietnam, Thailand, Canada, Switzerland and France. Spent a little over 3 months in Switzerland, day or two over the border into France, 1 week Vietnam and one week Thailand and many weeks in Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Algonquin Park, Vancoover Island, Victoria etc.. So many things I will just have to visit in pictures! I figure Many folks never get to see 5 foreign countries and I have seen quite a lot of the US. Lucky enough. One thing that I regret not visiting was the Pueblo Indian ruins. I was just fascinated as a kid by them and always wanted to visit the real place.
The sleep over got nixed and I feel bad. The problem is all my DD3's friends live over an hour away. So if the folks bring them down after work, then I am expected to drive them back the next day and then back home. Three hours driving in the car through Portland traffic just does me in. I don't have the stamina for it. If the traffic slows to a crawl I can hardly stay awake. The family didn't want to make 4 trips, can't blame them. We all have video phone for the deaf, so there is that connection. Thank goodness.

Soory, it didn't work out Rosie......Doesn't make sense the parents didn't get a clue.
Jazzy thanks,
Loverly, that's your clue for Rosie's tour. Long is better than short.
Anyone else wanting to pick a video tour for Rosie pic a place, put the word in a box then you can load the box later

After 6 hours with working with tech buddy--Answers BY. it turned out to be a simple cable problem. I usually do the unplug, cerain step scenario. Skipped it today. UGH. The unplug wait 20 seconds corrected the problem. It's a love /hate scenario with lessons. Hmmm maybe I should try that with the pool pump. ..................Average mutual fund loss was 10-11%. I lost 4%. All loss is relative. Once had a Volunteer say to me they were going to dock his pay 50%. ....................I said that was awful............he smiled.............I thought............I got it.

Reserved. I'll take Cape Breton. It's green lol.
Sorry Rosie for the nix on the sleepover. Maybe someone could have carpooled them back. Are parents aware of you CA? Maybe just one kid for next weekend (Labor Day Weekend). You choose which is easier - pick up or drop off. Stop for a pick me up on the way home - Starbucks!
-
Rose- you have been to some cool places! I have been to France, England, Monte Carlo, Italy (2x), Greece, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Venezuela, Belize, Costa Rica, and all up and down the Caribbean. Been all over the US too. My next trip, god willing and money available, is to Cuba next spring.
-
Loved the hike. Wished it were real. Enjoyed the other travels as well. Have been to Ireland,, Scotland, England and Japan (4 times) and quite a few of the states. Feel in love with Savannah, GA. Want to see Niagra Falls, the Grand Canyon and the Tetons.
Grandson had not seen lightening before and was intrigued by it. Son told me it is rare for Japan to get thunderstorms. He has lived in Japan 16 years and said there have only been two. Earthquakes and typhoons are a whole other story.
-
I have pictures in iPhone. Love to share some Thai memories and maybe some Angkor Wat temples with Rose. Could some one teach me how to attach several pictures at once. I see Sassy even added some more pics to the trip to Algonquin. How?? I need a computer buddy.
-
EEyore I'll be your computer buddy, a friend helped me long ago, Then Chevy helped and others. The bestest thing to do is to be right together and say-----do this, then that. That takes a phone call. But you can look on page 508 of Warm & Fuzzies and several people gave their way of doing things. Trully there is more than one way to skin a lemon(word substitution for cat).
-
Kathy, I have traveled through the states that it took to get me to Florida from Ohio and Michigan. Not much side travel.

Isn't it amazing about our weather dynamics. I just wish our scientist would be treated better. The whole dust bowl of the 30's was figured out and corrections were taken. Public Television has shown documentaries as to how it all happened. Supposin that the government has produced teaching materials to show how not to make it happen again.
Interesting science project for your GS. which would teach him about both cultural approaches to farming.
How does modern day farming in the USA compare to Japanese Farming?
How did farming in 1930 in USA and Japan compare in 1930?
Our government actually, caused the dust bowl problem,, viewing the history on it just is sad. They thought they were doing right. It was so many errors.

I have been to Vienna, Salzburg, Prague, Italy, Paris, all was great. I will see if I can send some pics of the past.
Hope all are feeling ok.
Wishing for rain for you who are hurting for it.
Mom issue is worse. I need to get adult protection agency involved. There goes my Walton family Christmas and world peace!!!! Oh well. Gotta do what you gotta do. The right thing isn't always the easy path.
Hopefully I will fall asleep soon, but right now I am wide awake.
I know I missed a lot.....but I did pretty good for being so behind, right?

I have a question...and of course I mean...sas, I have a question..lol I have heard that zometa causes teeth issues. Keep forgetting to ask doc about preventative stuff, if there is any. But at 2:47 in the morning I am thinking about it. Does anyone (sas) have any clue if the teeth issues can be prevented in any way?
Thanks

Eyeore, unlike SOME people, I don't have a computer, and only use my phone too. The box where you post has a tool bar at top. On the far right, there is an icon that sort of looks like mountains. Tap that, follow instructions.

No way I can catch up! Just stopped in to say hello!! No changes with me! Still have back pain! Still having cough! Have only had x-ray and meds increased for allergies! Supposedly, nothing showed on lung x-ray as to cause of cough! Still worried about lung mets, seems I'm always having to "catch my breath"! Doctors won't order scan! No change on the marriage front either, husband still ignoring me!
Job is great, kids are great and grandkids are awesome! However, I'm dreading the day that my daughter and family will be moving to Canada, I will never get to see them and now I see them everyday!! So that is my nerve wrecking issue for now! I cry almost nightly at the thought of them leaving, but I know they have to make their own decisions! Still praying that God will change their mind or remove the opportunity! (Selfish, I know)!
Me and 3 of the 4!
My Heart!! I couldn't get all four in the first pic, but I wanted to show pics of all, so this was the oldest a few days prior to the other pic!
-
I popped in at the right time, but never catch up.
Nettie, looking good and lovely grandkids!
-
Hi Ladys. Getting through these days of my last taxotere. Day 7 and cannot wait to get over some of these se's. Tired and not really having the energy right now to socialize. Thinking of all of you and will be in to say hiyas once I am past this point.

Hi gals! Sorry I haven't been here lately but its been really nuts here! Finally calming down, I hope! Thought I was going to get on here earlier this week but have had one thing right after the other preventing it. Out of all the craziness, last Friday was a pretty quiet day for me as hubby and I had tickets to a WWE event. Had a total blast and the seats we had were not so bad, two rows from the arena floor!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Just a passing thru. BBL.
Nettie - lovely grands pictures.
I understand Weather Channel is setting up in Miami.
-
Nettie- lovely photos. Those children are beautiful. It is hard to see people move away.
Mommy- welcome back! Glad you are doing okay!
Busy with work stuff so I will just share this funny thing before I go.
-

-
Spookie- he is 72! I am quite surprised any of them are still around, really....
I just saw George Clinton here last weekend for any of you who remember him from the 1970's. He is 74 and going strong.
-
Thanks gals.
Back in '09 I got to see Rick Springfield in concert at our local theater and his show rocked! I sang along with every song that he played that I knew. Two years ago I got to see the 80s band Survivor in concert at a fair, loved their show!
