Chrissyb I'm envious? I want a mirrorless camera too! Having to switch from my familiar camera, though heavy, would mean learning new dials, settings, etc. Right now my brain seems to be in the off mode so much of the day that I should wait until I can process lots of new information. The upside is that I can still think about. look at options and plan for the day when I make that big decision. For now, I think I should pull out my camera and do some photographing.

Sounds like you are anxious to return home so I hope that each day brings you closer to that happening.

Lisa I'm getting very tired but there have been improvements with my DD so it's all worth it.

Not a good week really though as i got a phone call from a close friend at 5.30am the other day to let me know that her hubby had a massive heart attack a couple of hours earlier and passed away. That same day I was checking FB and read that another friend's mom had passed that same day.......we have been friends since year seven at school. As you can imagine, there were a few tears shed that day.

Going home for a couple of days and hopefully all will be well here while I'm gone.

    Love n hugs all. Chrissy

you need some R&R, Chrissy. Sorry about all the bad news. It seems to come in bunches. When that happens, you don't want to answer the phone or check your mail. Hugs.

Magic, glad to hear your day was a little brighter.

Thanks Lisa...........I'm hoping that DD will be much better by mid September when we are due to leave for France. That's when the R&R will begin........lol. Bad news sure is draining and I'm really looking forward to getting into my own bed tonight that's for sure.

Magic the Mirrorless is really easy to use and not many dials at all. I was used to a point and shoot but this one was taking great shots after only a day or two of reading the book. Have a really good look at them online and I'm sure you won't be able to resist for very long.....lol. Hope the improvements continue and you just keep getting better and better.

    Love n hugs all! Chrissy

wow Lisa I want to go grocery shopping where you go !

Chrissy, I hope you got some rest this weekend. I

I went off island with my DD this week for a day trip for her to see a doctor. Of course, we got some shopping done, too. By the time we made it home, she had to drop me at home and take my car over night. I went to support her.......

Oh man, there was lots of drama on the construction site this week. I had hired a friend to reface my fireplace. Well, he had some life events happen and was way behind schedule (like the whole rest of the project). So he was holding up the drywall, painting and finish work. Well the contractor's wife (who is also the design person) gave him a piece of her mind, big time, very unprofessional. Then she fired him. When he was really working for me. Anyway lots of hurt feelings on both sides. She threatened to walk off the job if I let him finish the last few inches up to and including setting the mantel. He feels like he's an artist and doesn't want anyone else to finish his work. So I heard all sides. Now I'm just going to have beach stone up to the mantle and then paneling. It will look more like the original room. And maybe a whole big up to the ceiling rock fireplace would have overpowered the room. I just want it to be done! I am very sick of this whole process. Instead of me trying to have patience, I feel like my patience is being tried.

Oh by the way, Kathy, glad you made it home safe from vacation in one piece. I can't remember if I told you that or not.

Tonight my tw kids who still live at home were out with their Romantic Interests and my husband, who is a retired photographer, was assisting a photographer friend at a job so I was home alone. I started thinking, "Poor me! I'm so exhausted from my new chemo that I'm stuck at home alone!" Then I realized that if I didn't have cancer and wasn't exhausted from chemo I'd STILL be home alone. Actually, I'd probably be enjoying the quiet. So I stopped feeling sorry for myself and had some ice cream instead.

Leah, I love the quiet me times as they are the times I can let my mind wander to places my body can no longer visit.

Hope the new chemo is doing good at getting rid of the invaders.

well my 6 months check is now 9 months. Wednesday I see another new oncologist. That's the trouble with military medicine. The doctors move around or get out. I missed my 6 month because I couldn't lift my broken arm for a mammogram .Still can't but figure I need to see him anyway. My focus now is how to reduce the risk I have for the arm surgery. My liver Doctor says I have a 10 % chance of dying within 30 days if I have it. Right now I think I will be needing it.pooh. Too many balls to juggle right now.

Damn Lisa!! I'm really hoping the onc can give you something that will make that op a little less dangerous as it's is really obvious that it is going to be needed. Let's know how the appointment goes, I'll be thinking of you.

SoCal: You have way to much to juggle and with a broken arm no less. Pooh is right. All those numbers flying around must be disconcerting and a bit frightening when surgery is needed. Is the surgery scheduled yet? You are in my thoughts as you work through this challenge.

One half a hug to the unbroken side :)

Lisa sending live and hugs. What a bother and a difficult decision.

Leah, I love the sound of quiet and really enjoy having a silent house. Hope the new chemo really works.

Yesterday had a great cuddle with baby Evie. It was so funny seeing my Ds fussing and asking if I needed him to pick her up for me. And Mum sit down don't walk around. I just laughed and did what I wanted. Then later he said it was interesting to see what I did as I holding her and talking to her.

Hope every is having a good day.

    Big hugs.

I have no idea how that was deleted. Probably I hit the wrong place on my phone. At any rate Chrissy, what a great trip to look forward to. Wow. Business class no less. Do you know where in France you visit? So much to see and do. Maybe you could even sneak over to Bruges.

Well I saw the new oncologist. He is very young and I think I threw more at him that he could process. I also knew more about some stuff than he did. We agreed to wait until after the broken arm is fixed to do anything about a mammogram or dexascan. Maybe I should request a different oncologist next time. Here's the problem with military medicine.

Lisa dont you just hate when you know more rhan the doc.......I think i would be asking for someone who has a little more knowledge.

We will be spending a week in Paris, three nights when we arrive and four before we leave. The rest of the time we will be driving around the southwest of the country, starting in Breve and finishing in Cahors. We will be taking the train from Paris to Breve and the from Cahors to Paris. We will be just wandering where ever we choose.

I do hope something can be worked out to keep you safe for the repair of your arm.

    Love n hugs. Chrissy
