Oxfordlady.Welcome. I know that the days when we are getting a treatment plan together can be the most stressful. I tried to get a PHD in breast cancer in 3 weeks. I about drove myself crazy. But one will fall in place for you. We are all so different. I don't think I had enough input on the long term effects of choices. BCO is a good place to come for so many things. Hugs to you from a 14 year survivor.

Thanks ladies....Just came back from meeting and finally have a plan of action: NO CHEMO!!! I've joined a research study so will be having radiation to chest wall/lymph nodes and hormone treatment with Arimidex - the study goes out five years and I will have frequent check-ups which I am happy about. Schedule will include bone scan, meeting with onco-radiologist and planning the timing of this next step. I am immensely relieved that the Oncotype DX showed absolutely zero effect of chemo on my outcome statistics even with a 21.

Happy 4th of July those of you in the States...obviously over here in UK it's not exactly a holiday! We Americans abroad secretly celebrate!

Oxford, welcome to our group. I agree with the others, the beginning is really hard. Trying to figure everything out, so ask as many questions as you need. Here and everywhere.

Well ladies, I had my hysteroscopy yesterday. So now I get to wait 2 weeks for the pathology report. It took longer for me to get into the operating room and then the procedure took a little longer than we thought it would. And no one told my kids out in the waiting room anything. So they were really grumpy by the time we got home around 3. They always want to "help" so much, but it really distresses me when they can not get along. The big fight was who was going to the grocery store. Sheesh! So I am on very light duty for 72 hours and light duty for 2 weeks. She said she didn't find anything too troubling but we have to wait for the path.

So I am not taking part in any patriotic celebrations this year.

I did buy myself a new electronic toy. Seems every time I have a medical procedure I reward myself. Ha ha. This time it is a surface 3. It is so light weight and not as hot as my laptop. I really don't mind having it on my lap in bed, which is where I am most comfortable. It's keeping my mind otherwise entertained.

Sending hugs Leah. Understand how you feel. We have had three family funerals is three months. MiL was the last sad but expected. 

Now I am showing off. Have one more section of shawl to do. 

oh Kathy, be careful at the beach. Have fun, but just be aware.

Kathy, you are probably right about the pier activity bringing the sharks closer to shore. I live where Jaws was filmed. I watched that mechanical shark being towed around. Even knowing that, the film was scary. We have really bad rip currents too. But sometimes one just has to get into the water because it is so darn hot!

Oh I am sad about wilsi, too.

Hope you get those stitches out Chrissy..I went by Balboa Park's lily pond and they planted some new flowers around..

It's such a beautiful time of year here. All the blue hydrangea are blooming.

My arm is a problem. I had an appointment with my liver Doctor and he said that I had a 10 % chance of dying with the surgery the trauma orthopedic surgeon wants to do with putting a rod down my humerus

This is because the treatments I had for my breast cancer fried my liver so I have cirrhosis.

So my latest x-rays showed the fracture wasn't healing properly. It isn't bridging probably because the gap is to big.. So the bone doctor says he can wait to see if anything could happen in the next 2 months. I have to wear my brace, boo, all the time except showering. And use.my bone stimulator 3 hours a day.

I still can't wrap my mind about the choice I will probably have to make. I asked if we did nothing what would happen and he said I would have a floppy arm..no way Jose..

at least I have 2 months to mull it over, Chrissy.
