Just wondering what weekend plans everyone has. I am recovering from the upper respiratory flu, so Im gonna stay close to home and relax. Its so pretty outside - Fall - sometimes ya gotta love it.

I found a perfectly spun spider web outside my living room window. Its gorgeous. I dont know their real name, I used to call them banana spiders. I wish I would have had a camera. The close ups would have been great.

So heres to everyone having a fun week-end. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Great Gram's 98th birthday party today -- the Italian side of my family -- good food, great people, lots of fun...Gram is amazing...

Later, Yankee game on TV...if they don't win tonight...ugh...pressure...I can't believe Detroit kicked their butts last night (well, they can't use that pitcher again tonight HA!)...as if I have a real investment in the Yankees hahaha...just love 'em...

Tomorrow, my daughter's cross country meet...that's always interesting...and decorating the house for Halloween....

I really don't like any season that requires that I heat the house or wear a jacket...but I am trying!

    Feel better Nicki...Mena...xo

Oh Mena- Baseball here too! Go Cards! The Cardinals could sweep the Padres today. Then we move on in our race for the Pennant. I love post seson baseball, especially when we are in on it!
Tonight is Cirque du Soliel! Quidam is the show. This will be the second Cirque show I have seen. I also saw Dralion. A friend gave me the VIP (Vertis Rouge) seats for my bday. Whoo Hooo!

Well I am recovering from my trip of picking up my son from basic training. They took my little boy and turned him into a respectable man! He brings me to tears everytime I look at him...although his father was a 20 year veteran so I guess that is part of my tears because he looks so much like my deceased husband. Not to mention how proud he would be of his son as am I.....ok wipe the tears again....

I acutally need to spend my weekend catching up on my work, I slacked so much this past month that I am way behind. With my football team being on a bye week I am hoping to get alot done!

Lets see how much I can procrastinate this weekend! Hope you feel better soon Nicki!

    LuAnn

P.S. I wouldn't have remembered if my son didn't remind me, it is my birthday tomorrow, so the kids are taking me out to dinner....yeah me! another year!

We have some videos we rented, so we're probably going to watch one yet this evening. Church tomorrow morning. This afternoon, we did a little grocery shopping. The rest of the weekend will be spent relaxing and doing "domesticated" stuff around the house. I have laundry going right now, by the way.

Fall foliage week here in the Northeast kingdom of VT. On Thursday we served the foliage lunch at Peacham Elementary School. All of my class waited on tables serving quiche, salad and dessert. I was so proud of them. Yesterday we drove south to get my daughter from college.Today the foliage celebration moved to Groton, VT where I attended a wonderful parade. I have been doing it with my family for years. I came home and we made drinks, started a fire in the kitchen fireplace and grilled sirloin tips for dinner.

Tomorrow we are putting wood in the garage. I am also correcting papers and planning for next week. My daughter Gayle is here until Tuesday so I will be enjoying her company as is her younger sister.

Well, I had to work today but I'm off Sunday! I'm going to see my parents (they live on a river) and take one last boat ride before it gets "Winterized" (brrrrr). The jet skis are already up so I can't go out on them (I have a wet suit) but as soon as I can I'll be out on them again! Come on Summer! Oh, and we'll probably watch (or at least listen to) da Bears!

I work on Saturdays but I am off today and my daughter doesn't have school tomorrow!! Yippee!!

We are taking my motorhome out for a drive so the tires don't go flat and run the generator to get the gas flowing. My girlfriend suggested we drive out to her house and camp there since she lives on a few acres, so that's what we're doing! Gonna put out the awning and set up camp at her house and hang out!

Had a great weekend! The weather was gorgeous and my daughter was home from college for a few days. It was so nice to have her around again. I took her back this afternoon, and we had a fun mother/daughter day. I am so proud of her and she is doing so well! Such a blessing.

We are on Fall Break this week, so I'm going down toAL to visit my parents. I'll wave to Evilelf in Fort Payne on my way down!

    Nice picture Sheri.

This past weekend was Thanksgiving for me, so I cooked a turkey dinner for my DH family...all 20 of them. It was a success except we ran out of stuffing and mashed potatoes..

I think I am going to go to the mountains with my DH. We live in the foothills of the Smokies and it is a beautiful drive with all of the fall colors. Maybe it will clear my mind of all the worries in it.

On Friday (4 day Columbus weekend) we went to the Pumpkin Patch & picked pumpkins for painting and carving. We also went on a hayride and Alexandra rode a camel. On Monday Columbus Day, did pumpkin painting.

Well, we were supposed to go to a wedding but it was cancelled... So I'm going to take a Reiki class at the cancer center on Saturday. Sunday my husband is testing some of his Tae Kwon Do students and since I've been assisting him in teaching some I'll go to the test.

Well, Im still recooperating from a cold. Gonna have one of those great week-ends where ya just relax, watch movies, and eat good food.

Im thinking about clearing my garden. Some of the flowers were affected by frost here in Chicago. Maybe plant some tulip bulbs. Last year when I planted it was a disaster. The squirrels ate all my bulbs. This year, Im gonna cover the grounds with protective netting. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. I get so excited in Spring when I see them start to grow.

Husband is making a batch of French Onion Soup, so I will be dipping into the crock pot all day.

And if I really get the energy (lord knows where from) I would like some retail therapy. A new outfit would make me so happy.

    Have a great one

I was supposed to have my oil changed too but decided to flake out on it and do it another day. I just got back from a cooking class at the culinary academy. I learned the "proper" way to use a knife today. It was fun!

Thanks, you are too funny.....I think she's adorable too.
I just figured it out, if she were my 'younger sister' my Mom would have been 76 when she was born....a real medical miracle LOL

PS She's up in the kitchen right now painting more pumpkins, this time with Grandpa.............
