-
Tgirl will look for you!! is you name different??? I will be with Beth's Hair Boutique.
-
Hi Michele,
I'll be working Registration Sunday, so come and see me. BTW, tgirl's last Herceptin treatment is the 27th and we're planning on doing lunch. Join us???
xoxo, Sue -
It will be relaxing and football for me. Had my Zometa and I get so darn fatigued after it so the couch and I are going to be very close this weekend!
LuAnn -
refinishing wood floors, getting our house ready to sell. YUCK, am not looking forward to this

Oh yeah! Once again, third weekend in a row, post-season baseball... GO CARDS!
Here we come World Series. MI girls, and I know there's alot of you, I am just praying for a miracle. -
Going to a college football game with my daughter. She wanted to go, but didn't have anyone to go with. Should be fun!
-
I will be running around with my DH until afternoon and then I will be watching Tennessee vs Alabama on TV. DH has season tickets with his dad so he gets to go. I have been twice this year. GO VOLS!!!
-
I'm vegging on the couch with my girls. We are going to eat take-out, watch movies, play on the computer, read books, make some bead earrings....NOTHING productive allowed.
My hubby just flew to MI to watch the world series, so we are going to watch game 2 and see if we can spot him in the stands...GO TIGERS!!! (sorry christine
Cute story....my hubby has been a Tiger's fan since birth. He was SO excited they made it to the world series. I told him he should go to a game. His bottom jaw dropped and he said "no way...we can't spend money on that!" I told him that we had spent the last year spending tons of cash on cancer. It was time to spend some on something FUN from goodness sake. I finally talked him into going and he was like a little kid he was so excited. He kept saying he should stay with me because i am almost finished treatment...I am SO glad he went. He is going to have SO much fun. It makes me smile to think about it....
Deb C. -
Gee Deb you are going to be the wife every man wants at his job!
-
Cheer on the Cards- all weekend (on TV, until they are home Tues-Thurs) LOVE, when we're still playing ball in late October!
Sorry, to Deb's DH- I hope he has a great time. Really, I am praying for a miracle. -
PSU Homecoming this weekend. Stood in some drizzle with the kids for the parade and will go sit in whatever weather happens for the game!!! Go Gorillas!!
Good luck to the Cards in the series! Deb - that was great of you!!! -
That's so awesome for you DH, Deb!! I hope they win.
I went and saw Menopause the musical, last night, with 12 other 50-ish women. It was great. If you ever get a chance to catch it, you should. Too funny!! -
After my appointment with my oncologist this week, I am going to curl up with a book, wrap in an afghan and tune out the world. Dinner will be something take-out/brought-in.
Deb C, what a thoroughly thoughtful and wonderful thing to do for a loving, supporting hubby. You put some of us to shame. I am trying to come up with something really special for Christmas as last year he was taking care of me.
Whatever anyone chooses to do - enjoy to the fullest. -
I went to the homecoming football game at my dd's college. It was a gorgeous day and they creamed the other team, so it was fun. Her school is small, but mighty. It was better than a high school game, but not quite as big as some of the bigger colleges and universities. She enjoyed having us there.!
-
Here are a couple of pictures I took at the game.
-
Oh Sheri, what great pictures. I feel like I have been with you all along - your daughter going to college an all. Wasnt it only yesterday you were worried if she could even start? Then off to the dorm. And now, at the homecoming football game. The little pleasures a mother experiences - so very nice.
I didnt have too much planned this week-end. Just home relaxing, enjoying time with my husband and 3 crazy animals.
Im feeling a little sad this evening. Just finished reading through the other threads and so many are facing such hardships. So many sisters are struggling this weekend. One has new brain mets, another has new bone mets! Sometimes it blows my mind. On Wednesday your stage 2 and on Saturday your stage 4. HOw does this stuff happen?
I just got off the thread for the movie "Why I Wore Lipstick To My Mastectomy." At the end of the movie while they are singing a song, there are pictures of women who are real survivors. I clicked through each picture one by one very slowly. Then I realized that there are about 5 pictures of sisters we all know, right here from bc.org!
It made me meloncholy! But it also made me realize how important all of you are to me and how strong we are.
And now, I think I will go back and finish watching some football.
Nicki -
Spent Sat with thousands of survivors and their family at a walk. Feet hurt too much to walk, so just hung out and had fun. Sue, you look beautiful as always.
Watched my son's school (Rutgers) win again!!!
Sunday wanted to move out of Phila after a horrible day with the Eagles and Flyers...
New week...new trials and hopes.xoxo -
Theresa -- mutual admiration society -- you looked gorgeous also! Have Kevin e-mail me the pix and I'll post them. Check you e-mail . . .
My husband went on a 4 day golf vacation and I had a great weekend planned. My BIL is the drummer for Keith Urban and I was going to CT, having dinner with the band and watching the concert -- NOT!!! I get a call from Nashville at 11:00 p.m. Thursday night that Keith was wisked off to rehab . . .
Had a great weekend anyway -- spent time with my gorgeous granddaughters, shopped til I literally dropped, did the Making Strides walk on Sunday and watched the Eagles (not great) lose.
Have a great weeks everyone!
xoxo, Sue -
The Eagles losing was ridiculous. I cannot believe Tampa Bay got the field goal. Now I cant decide tonight if Im gonna watch football or the movie "Why I wore lipstick to my mastectomy."
Nicki -
Now you know how I felt last week, Tampa Bay got a touchdown in the last minute of the game and beat us by 1 point.... The Bengals won and the Steelers lost so I am a happy camper! Looking forward to the Giants/Cowboys game tonight!
LuAnn -
this weekend have halloween parties ! love halloween!
Tgirl congrats on last herceptin will meet you and Sue Friday at 1:00!!
Michele -
I'm off to Austin, TX for the LiveStrong Summit. Pretty excited and a little nervous about going by myself. I've never flown out of Tulsa, usually use KC. Is about a two hour drive to the airport and going will be fine, coming home will be dark and I don't love driving after dark. I'll have to keep keep reminding myself I'm a big girl... LOL. I don't mind flying, it's the getting there and home that worries me.
It should be interesting and fun I hope. Am not taking the laptop, going to try to travel light. Haven't started packing yet so not sure how that's gonna go...
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! -
SLEEP...then I'm getting up, eating and taking a nap! I don't know when I have been this tired...
Hugs,
Deb C. -
Hopefully, I will not be watching baseball, after a month of watching every week-end. If I am not watching, it means the Cardinals won on Friday! The World Series will be over and we won at home in our new stadium
Here we go CARDINALS, here we go!
(If we don't win on Fri, it will be another week-end cheering them on, glued to the TV.)
Oh and Sunday, I have my new God-daughter's Baptism and a big party after!
Have a great wkend everybody!
Deb, you'll be feeling better and your skin will heal with each day that passes. Rest well! -
I can't believe another weekend is here already. I am going out with some other bc survivors in my area, we are going to a dinner theatre, so it will be a musical and dinner. I'm excited, I love meeting new people! Plus I don't think I've really gotten a chance to go have some fun like this since my mets dx! Then Sunday, it is football, football and yet more football! Go BENGALS!!!
Don't worry Deb, you will be up and at it before you know it. You are probably so exhausted with relief you have finally finished the tx! Or maybe you really did break out that bubbly! LOL
LuAnn -
I am the Officer on Sexual Assault call this weekend at the hospital. I hope that I don't have any victims of rape this weekend.
Then I plan to clean my house in anticipation of Lilia's arrival on Wednesday. -
Christine:
I on the other hand actually want there to be baseball this weekend because I live in a suburb of Detroit and am rooting my heart out for the Tigers . . . which at the moment doesn't look too promising. Sob Sob Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see who ends up happy, right - Christine or Pat!! HA HA
Pat -
Oh Pat- In the beginning, I was praying for a miracle, lo and behold! LOL.
After posting on this thread last night, I thought, I shouldn't have done that. I don't wanna jinx anything. So, if the Cards do lose, don't tell anyone that it was my cockiness after game 4, that caused their demise. ha-ha
