These pictures are great - big smiles!!
They are the Divas who lunch!!! Way to go Sass and Blondie!! Live in the moment...every day.
-
Spookie, Okay the least fat one. I didn't look at the three. Only one.
-
Hi, Sable, you're a newbie. Welcome. We change everyone's name. It's to make you feel special in this place. I will call you Mink as in sable mink. Luxurious and fine.
-
WelcomeSabel! Love the pictures! So glad Blondie got there and you all hooked up to have some fun and visit. She sure looked happy. Sorry about the picture being blurry. I hope the rest of her visit is wonderful and she leaves happy.
Love the stoned cat on catnip. My cats do that. Got a terrible headache..got to go lay down. Hi to all out there.
-
He snapped a bunch, this is the best.
Sas in pink shirt, Blondie in middle, and me

-
Jazzy -- feeling pretty good today and even have a little bit of energy. But I just started getting a stress headache; I seem to be getting them a day or two out from my treatment days.
Roses, oh do I know about the Alpha...my last GSD I adopted when he was 1 1/2--he'd been the pet of two K9 handlers who raised him just like their working dogs and he weighed 105 pounds so he had a few ideas about who was the toughest nut in the jar. We literally had wrestling matches. The problems start when the fur mama leaves the house.
Sas, Spookie and Blondie - y'all look like you had a good time! And I'm envying the a/c.
It's been a crazy couple of days at work. Guns, gang members and people with mental issues and summer's not even half over yet. I'm probably one of the few people that looks forward to colder weather in this area. And by cold, I mean a high of 62.
-
Quiches look yummy, kitty is so cute. Marlana your puppy dog is adorable! Patty, so glad you were able to have some fun with all that was happening.
Sas, Blondie and Spookie!!!! Love to see you all together. Those are great pics!! Someone bop Sas about her worrying how she looks in the pic. Glad your Shats did well Sas. Beautiful girls in the pool!
Blondie you are beautiful!
I know I forgot so much after reading. Gah. (Did Rose ever get her results??)
Hands still swollen but getting better. Doc thinks it is the taxotere and I am still hoping it was the gloves lol. He put me on steroids oh yay..had to put chains around my fridge..(j/k)
I actually had my second session of chemo yesterday and was not expecting that but doc wanted to do it per the labs. Had a bone scan today and May(?) know something about it tomorrow..if not then I go for my next doc visit and chemo on the 28th. Have Neulasta tomorrow so hope to be good by what...Sunday ya think?
Anyway- hoping my hands don't splode again. grr.
Gah my hair falling out everywhere..who knew..? Me heading out for bone scan today:

-
Love the pic of the three of you, and continued big smiles for Blondie! Thank you for sharing your fun outing today with us!
-
Marlana- it's so scary some of the gang things in CA well anywhere for that matter. I used to hear some of the things the Asian gangs did to their community and then all the nastiness between the rival gangs.. so scary. I bet a boring night of no weird and ugly calls is lovely. Sounds like you have had some alpha's. I could be afraid of Bob but he was also fond of affection and fiercely protective of me. He had a sweet side. He was a beautiful dog for a mix. Glad you are hanging in there.
I just love the pictures of you all meeting and now am sad I missed my chance to met you all when I was in Jacksonvillein Jan. rats. Re oncology visit today- Well it took 6 months of asking but I get a trial of Ibrance. Might be too late but WTH. Try it eh? Frygea my onc suggested Taxotere today and I made a face (I am sure) and said I would be willing to try Ibrance. You look good considering... and I know it's hard! I always look good no matter how I feel, counts, labs - I look great. It's a curse- to the world there is nothing wrong.
-
Hello to all.
In still around.
Good to skim thru the posts.
Life is busy with no change on the home front.
Love to you all
-
Nettie, So great to hear from you! Take care of yourself and post when you can. Hugs.
-
Oh Nettie, hello............come on downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Hope all is well. There's a Willie Nelson song in the back ground. How's the family. That new grand must be close to a year now? Are you still babysitting? I'm not even close to having a grand. But DS does have a GF. You still riding that mower crazy girl? Made me crazy each time you posted yard pics and that mower. I won't EVEN walk in the yard anymore---- Mini dog holes covered by grass lurk everywhere.
Rosie, we tried, but that was pretty close to when you joined the thread. You didn't know we were wonderful.
Spookie thanks sweetie that ones not so bad
Bad, but not as bad.Loverly, Spookie and I have it all planned for your sisters wedding, if you can fit us in for a couple of hours. I'll stay at her place.
Might get banned, spoke my mind on a thread where a gal thought BCO should change all the threads. One suggestion was to lock threads after x amount of posts. Etc...............
-
Rosie, teach me please, Ibrance?
-
Freygea- your picture looks a bit sad here, but can certainly understand that. The loss of hair is hard. Big hugs to you. One day at a time right now, and we will be here with you as you continue on through the treatment process.
Rose- I am glad to hear you may be able to do a clinical trial. I think it is worth considering. I just read about it on their web site. I think they are finding more and more things to help the more advanced cases of this disease. Let us know what you decide to do. I hope your family is doing okay. Tough times for you all right now. Are you swollen again?
Spookie- when I looked at the photo of the three of you again (which I love), I saw your LE arm and hope you are doing better with the issues there. Hugs sister.
I wanted to say to all of you I think each and every day how brave all of you are, whether you are just diagnosed, going through treatment, or on the other side trying to stay well, or living with Stage IV. I am privileged to be part of such a fine community of women.
-
Rose -- boring and slow makes the day go by slow but I've always said a good day at work is one no one dies.
Frey--I've embraced the bald since the hot flashes started. Round 3 is Friday. I took this photo when I was having a really good hot flash so my head, cheeks and chest are completely red.
-
Marlanab- love the pic. We all flash along with you!
-
Blondie, Sass & Spookiesmom,
YEEHA, so glad your meet up was successful. The 3 of you look happy.
Hello to all, I try to keep up, can't remember everything though.
CHEVY, have a great time with the girls.
I am still getting settled. This rental was a mildew mess. They are replacing the dishwasher. ( full of mildew or mold ). We cannot understand how, in a very dry climate, this place has this problem. Very few houses in our area to rent. We felt really lucky to get this, now I am not sure how lucky we were. I am playing golf, but not a lot. Shoulder gets sore.
Jazzy, yummy looking quiche. I have never made one. Right now I have been making lots of pico de gallo. So good. I put avacado in mine.
-
Rose, also congrats on the approval for the Ibrance.
-
You three look so happy, especially Ms BLONDIE. Love all your beautiful smiles.
Patty, happy to hear you are enjoying your time with your older Sis. I always wished I had an older sister or brother. I am the oldest of 8!
Susan, hugs. Not easy caring for love ones with Alzheimer.
Ms. Chevy, have a blessed time with Sheri and Janie.
Rose, hope you don't have to jump through any more hoops to get on Ibrance(no insurance problems).I also hope that the drug will be kind to you.
Jazzy, you are right when it rains it really pours!
Queenmom, health insurance companies do have adjusters. They are the ones who takecare of prior authorization and non-formulary request. Haha
Welcome Sabel! I am the only normal one here
Hi Nettie, Wren, HI1!
Ms. Sas and Ms Spookie, I will arrive @ 11:30 on August 7th and depart early August 10th. Do you both have time for lunch on Sunday the 9th? I would love to spend time with you. And Ms. Sas, I think there is room at the beach house, but I don't think you would want to hang out with me crazy family!!
Frey, you look lovely. A bit sad, but lovely.
You too, Marlana! Nicely shaped round bald head.
My stomach has been naughty the last two days thanks to IBS. Wipes me out. Had to take 2 naps each day. Good thing on my days off. Work tomorrow. Hope it behaves itself.
-
Haven't been here for forever, but Rose said there was a sneak peak of 3 sistas meeting up!!! Wonderful to know Blondie made it safe & sound & see you all together! Seattle feels a little bit like Florida right now...but it'd be more fun to share the heat w/a buncha gal pals :-)
-
Ah geez! Sass! I read what you posted, and it wasn't THAT bad... Ha! I think I know what that gal is talking about.... but I think she is new enough that she doesn't understand how we become friends here, and just like hanging out, and sometimes even MEETING each other, and to some of us, we are all like "family."
And we don't need to talk JUST about our cancer, or like me and my failed Tamoxifen, or like SHE on her Arimidex... but by reading and asking questions, we get a good idea on what is going on.... What if they DID limit the threads to say 300 pages? Man, most of us would feel like we were cut off from our friends!
Sometimes we are lucky enough to get past the worst, or the beginnings of our cancer and it's side-effects..... THEN like ME, we can move on to more exciting things like BROKEN HIPS, and Lord only knows WHAT else is in store for us.
And thanks Gals.... Yes the girls were both over yesterday afternoon, after they went shopping for cow-boy boots, for the wedding up in Vail this week-end. Brought Pizza, and that delicious Blue Cheese dressing from that place!
Going shopping or something with Sheri today... Weather still really cool here!
Spookie, ask your Daughter if she is going skiing here.... Hah!
Mods.... "Please don't take my Sunshine away".....
-
For all my friends here on BC.ORG.... And how I needed you......
-
I love your Pic Marlana! The hot flashes gives you that 16 y/o girl that just had her first real kiss look. Sporting it chicky chick.
-
lovely, works for me!!! Yay!!!
That fat left arm is why I want a pump. Too hot for the sleeves.
Blondie, take the boys for a drive through Ding Darling Nature Preserve. It's close, and I think all would like it.
Chevy, they are freezing. She's been bummed because of the smoke.
Hot flashes suck, ya'all look good! Rock on.
Sas, saw that thread, thought she shut up and went away. Maybe it's really a troll.
-
Trolls

-
Marlana you look great, go forth with bald headed pride. Too dang hot to wear wigs and scarfs! Hi Nettie! Hi Wren. Holinone- eewww a dishwasher full of mold gross. Glad you found a rental you like. Loverly you headed to Florida too? Who is going to watch those cute girls of yours? Thanks you for sharing the photos of your meeting Spookie and Sass. Jazzy- not a clinical trial as Ibrance was released in Feb/March 2015. I got a call from specialty pharmacy that they will send it as soon as insurance pays. hmm so it's a last ditch thing, we will see.
Chevy- what are you yacking about? Are the Mods limiting comments and pictures? No more glass and thrifting and flowers? Did you finish painting your adorable cottage? Yep it would be sad if this virtual coffee shop got shot down... sharing cancer tx stories, drug profiles and SE, anxieties, friends and families. There is much to share in cancerland.
-
Rose- oh good, even better news that is on the market. I hope insurance is speedy to approve it so you can get going.
-
Mariana: another "love the picture!"
Lover(of life): ....you mean health insurance companies also have someone who says "NO, we're not covering that. Don't even think about asking your medical team to attempt billing us for thus-and-such." (Had a six-month battle with BCBS last year about which plan they were supposed to be using.)
-
sas,spooks,blondiex, great pics...thanks for sharing.
I hope everyone's tummy problems, fatigue, pain, swelling, and treatments are easier to handle today. Sometimes just a day or two brings us back to that happy place where we know we can do this.
My hubby takes off for California Tuesday. He bikes the coast with friends every year. 400 miles in 5 days. I only peddle 16 at one time...haha....I am not interested about pretending I am at the Tour de France . He is a bit worried cause the next day is treatment for me with my extra fun zometa. Zometa didn't like me, mutual feeling. Told him no worries, I sleep for 3 days anyway. And I am very crabby. So better he is not here . Lo
