Chevy--too funny! My best pick up ever was Pearl Jam...I was in my early 20's and they played at a local venue called the Majestic Ventura Theater in 1992 right before they really took off. The band invited my friends and I backstage...we passed--the music was good but they were a grungy bunch of guys! It made sense that their genre became known as Grunge. We also got picked up on by the Georgia Satellites at the same venue/different concert but there was no way in hell we were going anywhere with them--they were butt ugly

Round 3 is done! 1 more to go. Now to just manage the SE's

Never heard a pet can't be around with chemo. I suppose if it's something like cytoxan and doxirubicin your pee would be toxic. If you didn't flush and the cat or dog took to drinking from the bowl.. but that's the only thing I can think of. Hugging that furball is what keeps most of us sane and motivated to get up. I bet we smell funny to them since their sense of smell is so much better.
Had to get out of the house so we took a drive to the federal wildlife sanctuary with DD3. We had binocs and sat in the car near the water and wetlands. So many great blue herons, egrets, ducks, geese... the works. Then this Fish and widlife ranger came over and told us these small sized birds were snowy plovers and they were endangered and this was one of 2 sites in Western Oregon where they nest! Another bird we watched was a black necked stilt (taller version of a sandpiper I just looked it up) were very cool looking and noisy! Even my DD3 with her implant could hear the peeping chirping noise. The weather was gorgeous sunny and 78 breezy. Ahhh. Now my back and hip are on fire and I need to lay flat.. pain meds. ugh
Yay Jazzy! So happy all the tests are clear and done and you are good. Love that purple flower gorgeous. It would be fun to try and meet up and see Chevy, Patty and all the gang. We are spread literally coast to coast..probably not doable.

Chevy, 1971 in Lauderdale. This guy asked the same thing. Fly to the Bahamas for dinner. I said no, but gave him my number in Michigan. He called and wanted to fly in to Detroit and fly somewhere. Said I didn't want to be a _______(forget)at every airport. Krips he was willing to fly from Florida to Michigan. What was I thinking? He had his own plane in his 20's(I think it was his dad's). He was going to school at Embry--flight school with a degree program in Florida. A few times over the years I thought of him. An unknown, LOL, and he was cute. A path not traveled.
Spookie, don't worry, she's where she wanted to be, that's the best place to be. It'll be okay. She'll get a charge out of the pic for the three of us. I must admit it's a happy pic. You did good job about picking it.
Please, post them on that thread of member pics. It's not in my favs. Don't know what it was called? Steve called for our Friday chat. Love those. It's a been a weekly thing for a couple of years or more Dovetails into the family Friday out to dinner routine since he was born. They have a quiet weekend for just the two of them. Put in a short plug about what a nice thing etc, and that he's of the age that slowing down a bit is a good thing. I could hear is voice brighten in response. Cool, taking time for them. -
I got Wine, Pearl Jam. and Pot. Can I take Pearl Jam question for 20 bucks please?
WTG Marlana! I hope the next few days are good to you.
Bah I read it somewhere on Dr. Google that you should avoid sleeping with your dog and or baby for 72 hours after you have recieved chemo.
Ok..snatching her up tonight.
-
I had cytoxan and the red devil. Nobody said anything about pets. Just those 2 neuculear?Tests. They said babies and pets, don't even try airport security.
-
Yay Jazzy..........root beer float even LOL Go all out girl. I'm toasting my wine to you as I type.
Marley, it's becoming more clear why you're pre employment screener said he would like to party with you, girl oh my! Yay ROUND3 over

What would I bring to the gathering besides all the glassware? How's about a Trifle? What I finely figured out about trifle's is that it's whatever you can think of that will meld is doable. Remembering when I asked my English friend Maureen about how much booze they put in an English trifle. She said "The bottle". So, booze can be none to a bottle. I baste the cakes. Far less than a bottle. But we could go the English way.
This post caused me to call Maureen. We had a real laugh about trifles. She corrected the recipe. "Soak the cakes", but remembers "the bottle".
-
Patty, I'd bring anything chocolate of course.
Jazzy, yeah! Big happy face.
Marlana, hope this one doesn't kick too much butt!
Susan, it's an artichoke, not avocado, do those bloom?
Hi everybody. Anyone remember what the online card shop is? Specialty in BC reality

Story from the imaging center today. When I went into the waiting room today to be called into for the mammo and ultrasound, there was one woman clearly was just coming through chemo (could tell by her peach-fuzzy hair) and the other was a younger woman who looked very frightened. Just us three ladies. I sat down and just listened to them, and chemo woman was saying she had finished chemo and was getting a bit stronger before she did surgery (my guess was she was back to see if the chemo had reduced her tumor, etc.)
The chemo lady left at one point, and then it was just me and the other woman. I asked her if she had been just diagnosed and she said "I am here because I found a marble sized mass in my breast." She seemed young to me too, probably in her 30s. She said she was terrified she has waited too long and had no history of breast cancer in her family. .
I did tell her about this web site. I told her if she does find herself with a cancer diagnosis, that BCOs is a great place to come to learn more about things, talk to other women, etc. I told her that BCO, the discussion groups, women here, etc. were a lifeline for me going through treatment and to now. I hope that young woman doesn't have bc, but hope I helped her just a little bit today.
And you know what? I had another reminder today that when you help others, you stop worrying about your own crap! I am always so nervous going in for these check ups, but felt much calmer going through things today. By helping another, I helped myself in the process too.

Patty, had a memory come forward. I had been here long enough to know better. But in the middle of the night the brain doesn't work so well. I'd be talking with someone and the page would turn......Waiting. ........Not aware the page turned
-
Hooray Jazzy!!! Root beer float sounds good.
Ms. Spookie, I don't think I can talk her into sharing them cowboys with us. Ay caramba!!!
Marlana & Ms Sass, I am still trying to decipher your codes " hairy caterpillar on the cowboys" ???? I read it a few times and still don't get it....unless you mean something I am thinking. Oh no you are not taking my mind there again Marlana Ruth!!!!
Patty, I will bring paper towels and an empty bladder.
Susan, tsk tsk tsk...you saw an avocado?? I thought it was my eyes playing trick on me again. Had to go back & look at the ARTICHOKE. 20 miles of bike riding..WOW. I would walk like a cowboy afterwards
-
Oh and nothing from Blondie since she went to Florida. She is PARTAY mode!
-
Hugs, Jazzy.
-
Oh hi Ms. Smaarty! Just looked up and saw your post
-
Susan, I first wrote asparagus and thought that's not right, Had to scroll back up and look........The biking: Once had a real estate sale to a biking couple. Her criteria was not to have bikes come through the house to get to the basement. My primary question to the other realtor was "Describe the back entrance to the basement".
Loverly, no code----out of context----taking one thing with a lose connection to another, that can be different than the original intended meaning. ................................April 8th right?
