-
Cute kids! Pool looks good too!!
-
Oh Loverly, they are beautiful.....
-
Loverly-
-
Thank you!
-
Ms. Spookie, i meant to comment about your GS. Very cute and mischievous looking. Also, I was thinking ....less than 15k and car out of battery ...,probably from excessive flooring of the gas pedal or cruising down Indian Rocks Beach with your boom box in full blast?
Jazzy, you are really going to respond to a stranger with a "You can see me?"? You are warped too.
-
Indian Rocks!!!! You know my area????? Believe it or not, I haven't been there for 20+ years. Don't know why really.
Yes, the boys TOGETHER are a major handful. By themselves they are good kids.
Oh, me speeding in my bitty car? Top end is 85. That's funny!!!! Rose had a Spark for a rental, she didn't like it.
-
Loveroflife- you never know, I am a queen of pratical jokes! And thank you for saying I am warped. Makes me like you that much more.....LOL!
Your girls really are gorgeous. Three of them in total? What ages?
-
Jazzy -- I agree about craigslist--it's usually sketchy. Most of our burglars use it as a way to sell their stolen goods. If I did buy something off of it, I would have the seller give me the serial number then call the local police to see if they check to see if that item is stolen. I have bought concert tickets that way and been okay but I prefer ebay. As for wild spinach, I've never tried it. My brother has wild asparagus that grows in the drainage ditch in front of his house that's he's picked and says is pretty tasty.
Sas--I have been sleeping a lot on the couch with just a loose sheet on it and another covering me because it's cooler than my room. I'm also using a standing fan pointed directly at me. The combination seems to be helping me sleep longer without waking up. As for the dog eating the bed, been there, done that. And I have plenty of flat sheets--we went through about 6 fitted sheets because he kept playing tug of war with them! My shepinois was hell on wheels as a puppy. But how can anyone stay mad at this face:
Spookie and Loverly -- cute grandkids and kids! Loverly, when I ran track in high school it was a lot of hurry up and wait around. We used to bring an easy-up and take naps! In college, I competed in the heptathlon so I was constantly running from one event to another and trying to change shoes from running spikes to jumping spikes to javelin boots to throwing shoes.
Chevy -- that photo is me, also. I once had a school counselor that told me I was one of the few students she'd ever seen that could walk the thin line between doing what I want and doing well in school.
-
Loverly way cute kids. Marlana- adorable puppy pictures. Those of you with dogs will appreciate this story. My border collie Tess is a very good dog. She has never gotten up on the counter and gotten food. SHe is 10 years old, 45 pounds and tall. Until tonight. My DH made a lovely chiabata roast beef and hivarti dill sandwich. He left it on the counter when the commercial break was done and tiny house show came on. We love watching the tiny house show. I heard a gasp and yelling... next commercial break when DH went back in to add honey mustard and wrap the sandwich up for his lunch! Tess was groveling, the sandwich gone... our other little dog Ruby 16 pounds and short, probably got none. I had to laugh... temptation like that is just too much for even a good dog! haha
I get more fluid off tomorrow. Yay! Count down Blondie!
-
great pic spooks! Hope you are having a great time with them
-
From my ride yesterday. I am on left, white shirt. And my latest project.
-
Yes Loverly.... Very pretty for sure! And so is your fur-face Marla!
It is REALLY cool here, and misty! DD from Orlando will LOVE it when she gets here tomorrow.... It is only 58 right now! YOWsers!
Gotta get this house ready... AND the yard... Been working at it for 2 weeks, but started painting, and that takes awhile! Won't be anywhere near finished, but it still looks better.
Going to lay down a big piece of out-door carpeting on our Patio today.... hopefully! No more pasting it down, that stuff is a pain.... A few large-head screws will work better.... Okay.... it's light enough out... gotta get busy....! xoxo
-
DD is in Denver with the boys, freezing and pissed. She says it's foggy and misty, and they haven't seen any mountains. But she sent this pic. All over Chevy?

-
Oh my! Supposedly my little town is a great place to live. Hmmmmm
DH, and TV confirmed that 6 punks had BOMBS at the entrance to our dog park!!!!!! The punks had detonated one, the cops came, Bomb Squad detonated another!!!! Damn. Isn't anything safe anymore?
-
-
Spookie- sounds like trouble in your neck of the woods.
Made two quiches this morning, one in the back is the wild spinach, bacon and cheese one and the front is artichoke, bacon and smoked gouda one. Just taste tested them and yum yum!

-
recipies PLEASE. DH would eat the Gouda on
-
Jazzy, you are teasing us here with those delicious looking quiches. Yes,recipe please. I have two girls. Older is 17. Same age as Mel's younger daughter. Where is Mel anyway? My younger is 12.
Ms. Spookie, my nephews look like angels when they sleep, but when they are awake, it's a different story. This is not the same daughter who plays the bagpipes?
I have never been to Indians Rock Beach. My sister is getting married there next month. She moved to Florida last year and just bought a house in Debary. California is too boring for her. Hope the damage to the dog park is not too great. Should send those young men to Iran or Iraq. What in the world were they thinking??!!!!
Susan, you are speed reading again? Haha you almost confuse me there with where Ms Spookie's daughter going with her boys. Lovely smile, by the way.
Rose, love your story about Tess! Temptation was too great for self-control. One day,Mom came home from work and found a wrapper of one of her Vietnamese Tamales next to the other ones in the center of the table. Didn't think anything of it and thought maybe it was Dad who forgot to throw the wrapper away. Few minutes later, hmmmm?? Where is Nala? After a few calls, she hesitantly crawled out of her crate. Mom said evidence was all over her white fur face and paws. Until this day, they don't how she was able to jump up to the table with all the chairs pushed in and how she was able to get the sticky rice out of the banana wrapper without tearing it to pieces
Ms Chevy, thank you. They are five years apart, but get along well most of the time. Faith, my younger one still sleeps in her sister's room. Now that Grace is a teenager, she prefers to have more privacy, but can't seem to kick her younger sis out. They have been sleeping in each other's room forever. It will be very tough for Faith when her sister leaves for college next Fall. I hope she won't move into our room when the time comes
Marlana, you are aware that our Ms. Chevy is our English teacher right? You left your last paragraph wide open for her! Haha. Enjoy your next few days feeling human before the next boxing match.
-
Yes, I SAW that....Ha! But I think it is great, that in High School, you had that much personality and confidence, Marla!!! I was such a dud in school.... Don't remember much of grade school, Junior High, nor even High School....It just wasn't a fun time of my life.... For me or my Brother.... We didn't get our "wings" until I met DH.... Or I mean he WOULD be...
But growing up was just not good.... not nowhere, not no-how! So that's why I have to have fun now! I find happiness within my own family.... and my friends, and the things I love to do..... I really am fortunate..... Wouldn't give a plugged-nickle for my childhood years again......
That Quiche looks soooooooo good! Both of them! Who did that? Jazzy? And did you see how clean her stove is! She's such a brat!
Spookie..... Hahhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaah! YES, we had perfect weather today! I LOVE the "cool" misty weather! Supposed to be like this all week.... Don't tell your DD that.... And someone ought to spank those kids! What a bunch of wild Indians! Hope they make them do a lot of community service.... SEPARATELY! Damn kids!
Loverly..... My two Daughters didn't really get along THAT well until they grew up! Now they are soooooo close! Even living in different States, those two always watch out for each other.... I'm very proud of that.... I am so excited for Sheri to get here tomorrow..... THEN I can relax! We got the back out-door carpeting down..... Sure made it look nice out there! Gotta get busy now.... cleaning the bathroom....
Laters Gators!
-
So Lover, you have a wedding coming up here! I feel the need for a lunch meet up if you are coming and have time!!
-
Spookie, I made it with only a small sight seeing detour. Veered left instead of right on the Selmon. Ended up at the docks. Turned around and had to find a different way. Kept making lefts, towards the downtown buildings. Worked. Ran into Kennedy Blvd and knew what to do from there. I was right, Steve was stressed b/c of their dog. He met me at the house and did the --meet and greet. Dogs were fine. I have no cell and they're is no land line. But obviously I got connected. Steve's doing map quest from his house to Tampa International Airport. House to Toojay's in case you want me to pick you up and then go to TIA. And the TIA to TooJay's. I forgot they had a cat. Shats has never been close to a cat. I'm guessing it won't appear. So, not a particular worry. They're chicken's and peacocks next door too.
Let me know if you want me to pick you up at TooJay's. We can have some laughs navigating the few miles to TIA. I'd pick you up @ 10am.
Blondie All set on this end. Hope your tummy has stopped misbehaving. Can't wait to see you.

Hi ladies- the quiches were good and I shared some with my neighbor just in time for lunch!
For any of you old timers who have the Joy of Cooking, the recipe is in that cookbook and called Quiche Lorraine. I end up using that as the base recipe and then just add different things. Spinach, mushrooms, red peppers, artichokes, bacon, and onion are all good candidates for the quiche. You need to put some type of cheese with it. Traditional quiche lorraine uses swiss, but I use whatever cheese I have and that I like. Smoked cheeses are really good in any quiche. The fun part is experimenting with the various combinations. I suggest picking three things so you don't overwhelm it will two many flavors; one of the three things should be your cheese.
I cannot find the recipe on line with the Joy of Cooking site, but this one is pretty much the same:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/...
Couple things about quiches, they are a good food for any meal. Very nice served with fruit for breakfast, or salads for lunch or dinner. They also freeze well if you make a couple of them and cannot eat them all at once. True for us single folks, those of you with families will find them gone fast!
-
Loverly, where and when and can you fit us in? It's wonderful that the two girls are so close. Where's DD1 going to college? Any early decisions as to area of study?
Spookie BTW that is a great pic of DD and the boys. Those stupid kids at the dog park. It will be interesting to see how they are charged. If they use the terrorist act, those kids won't see the light of day for---ever. Stupid kids. Their parents must be beside themselves. Why the dog park? Have they said why? Have they a Doggie Manifesto?
Jazzy, oh yum Sounds heavenly. I can almost taste them. Practical joker huh? Since you can't play them on us, would you share some stories?
Forget who asked about Mel. She came and left. We Pm'd. She was having trouble keeping up. She tried again, but I think she thought the same thing. I said we all have trouble keeping up and we would like to see her, and not to worry about keeping up. Beachie disappeared too.
Also, if you think to PM Enerva. She was on W&F's, but didn't stop by( I may have missed it).
Rosie, I think you are being tapped today. Good luck! and have a great comfortable rest of the day. Tess's story was cute ::). Years ago my Brittany Max did a similar thing with the Sunday roast. Family was there for dinner. Since he'd just pulled it off, I gave the family the choice of me rinsing it off or eating just everything else. It was a standing rib roast. They're choice was to rinse. Big time beef eaters. Shats one time as a young one. Jumped on the counter. Somehow landed on her butt. Slid right off to the other side. The look on her face was hilarious. it was a dumb move b/c nothing was on the counter. It was good for a laugh.
Chevy So excited for you about Sheri and Janie being together with you and DH. Living vicariously through you.. If you have time to tell us of your adventures that would be fun.
-
Our dog, Tiki, seized a leg of lamb off the table and was headed for the back yard to eat it. Fortunately she had grabbed it by the bone end, so we ate the meat and then gave her the bone.
-
Was in the racket ball courts directly across from the elementary school, about half way back. All I know now is the 4 19 year olds were charged as adults will feloney for detonating one bombs. The other 2 were taken to juvenile. I went by about noon, spoke with a TV reporter, she said the bomb squad did s sweep last night all ok. Left last night about 8, all was normal.
Sas, you really need to travel with a cell!!!!
I'll just meet you at TooJays at 11..blonde said she'd call when they land. Too much walking at TIA.
Lovely, Sas and I love to do lunch.
One Thanksgiving, our Brittany ate ALL the desserts mom had put out on a tea server.
DDs mood is improving, she said tomorrow the day care the boys are in are going to see the Clydesdales!!!! We are jealous. Yes, she's the piper.
-
DS cat wasn't happy with Spookie there that day either. If looks could kill.......
-
Spookie, I'm not doing any walking. I driving up to southwestern airline baggage entrance. That's why it's 40 minutes after planned landing. Generally, that's enough time. I do it all the time at Orlando and Melbourne. I'd do the cell lot, but no cell.Blondie, if your not at that exit and I'm forced to circle around. Never fear chickie, I'll be there.
-
you and DS go out tonight and get a cell. Not sure you can do the circle thing there
-
We broke a rainfall record in the last 24 hours; 2.24 inches in the past 24 hours. Our average annual rainfall is 8 inches A YEAR! I have seen bigger storms than the ones the past day, but I guess these ones were real soakers!
