Here is something that fits us all on this thread pretty well:
-
6/1- starting the month and week out right by getting back to the gym. I went to do my resistance training today and focused on abs, lower body, and some TRX at the end for a good 50 min work out. I think tonight I will be out on the bike for a ride as things cool down.
-
Yoga this morning & will go to Zumba tonight.

Geez, I am grateful to have survived the flight home from my vacation. The plane ran into severe thunderstorms & after two aborted landing attempts (think shake, rattle and roll), we spent 1 1/2 hours circling the airport before finally safely touching down. Yikes!

Grateful you are home ruthbru!
-
ruthbru - UGH Glad you are back with feet on the ground! -
6/21- grateful for the beginning of summer that officially started at 10:38 mountain time this morning. And summer it is, with temps hitting 3 digits this weekend.
Ruth- although I have flown a lot, I am not good with turbulence and t-storms. I am glad you made it home safely. Whew! It looks like you had a great time out in CA with the bco gals!
Happy Father's Day to all the families celebrating this weekend.
-

I normally wear my hair very short (Judi Dench style). I decided to be proactive and research wigs. Thankfully my hairdressers do these: they have worked for a theatre which runs a lot of 17th century plays! They've advised me to go for almost shoulder length wigs, which look better on me. They further cut my hair in a carré (I had been letting it grow since there seemed to be a little point in getting a nice haircut) which will match the hairstyle of the wig I'll be getting so the transition may actually go unnoticed (they sometimes do politicians and other people who are in the limelight and don't want all and sundry to know they have cancer). For instance I should be able to go through passport control at borders without having the police officer asking me "Is that a wig you're wearing? "
Even better the new hairstyle enables me to wear earplugs unnoticed at work as my hair now covers my ears
Useful as my new desk stands in an area of high traffic, near the kitchen and the toilets.
I am really grateful to Providence or whoever for all of the above. At least something in my life which is not going completely wrong.
-
My 'hair' never looked better than when I was wearing wigs!
Grateful for some nice weather here.
-
Grateful for the Supreme Court whom is doing things to help the people of our nation this week.
