Rose, you know you can get a headache with Zofran right? And sometimes hunger can trigger nausea? I don't know. I better stop before you develop annoyitis. You need a break, you poor thing. Wish you lived nearby so I can bring you some home made herbal chicken soup I am making for Hubby who is sick also. Hug
-
Marlanb- chemo virgin, oh brother. How are you doing into the new weeks with the SEs?
-
Lovlife- No idea where the N came from. Zofran does give headaches. We also have a huge weather system that just cleared out our 86 degree fair weather, turned it into storms, rain and chilly 50s! I am sensitive to weather changes, pressure changes and am sure the combo is the reason for the head ache. I have to remember most of the folks on this site are stage 0-3 and not years into stage 4 like I am. Some stage 4 folks get a drug they tolerate really well and ride it out with little side effects. I have not been so blessed, most days I feel crummy. I haven't been taking any of my prescribed drugs, so they are not the reason. I do not want to develop annoyitis.
Our fair weather returns by the weekend where they are expecting 90 degrees! Be well.

Peeps
Welcome nubies
Nope patty not yet after i get the tickets
Sass who know, how far are u from the airport?
Damn it is cold n rainy..like 60, was 90 yesterday, lol
Happy happy hole, hope u were good 2 youself..
Chevy...u r so awesome,
Hi rosie n others sorry cant remember
-
Rose, your weather woes sound like me and fibromyalgia. Just let a low pressure system get a few hundred miles of me and I HURT. It's no fun.
-
I want these. Online, a site called Lighter side

-
-
rose--for me, my sinuses and right ear (the one with Ménière's) are my barometers. Any weather changes and I get sinus issues and/or pressure in my ear. It's a good thing that I live in Southern California where we don't have real weather. And for once, I'm not cracking a joke about that:

Jazzy, I'm on day 6 and having very few SE's today. I've been blessed and had very little nausea. I've been getting intermittent headaches but as soon as drink at least 8 oz of water, they go away. The post-neupogen bone pain has been my worst SE so far
-
I'm going to try to keep up better but this week has started out bad. DH called me out this morning to see my oldest goat who was clearly in distress. She was nearly 13 and died on the way to the vet. Not the way to start the week. DH took his last personal day until November. Hoping he has no major illnesses until then. His work is pretty good with him taking an occas. unpaid day so it shouldn't be a problem. Vacation days he has plenty.
I am only 6 pages behind. Texas is finally dry, had the last rain of significance here on Sat. morning. But and a big but, places are still flooding and some new ones daily. Not near me thank goodness. Saw lots of water in unusual places on way to vet. The west fork of the Trinity River flows just east of us and its flooding out in rural land.
Like Hi1, Spookie, who else I have the same kind of hubby. We are lucky to go to OK 2x a year and may not get to go in October because of his job. Went on cruise years ago but was work related, corporate office support of sales. No way would I ever get him on one again and this was mostly free for us. Hi1 - my DH is fixed on doing as little as possible on his days off (though I certainly appreciated him today). He may, maybe not certain, switch jobs (retail) with something that will put him more regular day hours rather than 12p-9p. Either he is resting for work or working. Bummer during the summer when grass yells mow me. It will mean I have to take back more responsibility for the goats esp. during the winter.
See 2TA and Pawprint have been around. Come back, come back. And Beatmon.
Happy Birthday Hi1
HaHa Sassy. We have talked about our yards. We mow whatever is out there. I try to keep those terrible thistles outta the backyard and right around front. Otherwise if it's green, mow it. DH did let my Indian paintbrushes go to seed. Patch gets larger every year. AND YAY I have lots of tiny plums and a fair amount of peaches. I call the plums 2 bite plums, that's about all you get. The peaches look a bit bigger. One thing the flood has been good for. That and my cannas are doing good though I do - hate the job - have to weed them soon.
Geesh Marlana - whata nurse NOT. Did she even bother to read your chart? Have you been practicing your withering look? At least you had a good comeback.
Should be able to keep up better now. My Eagle Cam closed for the season, one reason I was not on recently. Trying not to get involved in any others right now but I do love my eagles.
Oh yes, Yay Blondie. Sounds like Florida is going to happen
Welcome DebiAnn and any else I cannot remember. As usual I started this hours ago and just now finishing at 9p.
-
Luv- I am glad you are okay but sorry to hear about your goat. Sad news.
I saw on the news about the Trinity River and floods that took out a lot of cattle. They tried to save them, but only could help some. So sad. Texas will be recovering for awhile I think.
Marlanb- glad to hear you are doing well day 6. Good luck going back to work tomorrow if you can!
Spookie- I like the cancer picked the wrong chic one. Get it and wear it proud sista.
-
Sending a lot of caring thoughts of this wonderful and
caring people here. May You all find peace and comfort
and know this is a wonderful place, with wonderful and
caring people. God bless You
-
Foots- thinking of you tonight and hope you are doing well.
-
Hi Foot, hope you are comfortable and have peace yourself too.
-
Goat, sorry about your dear goat. Good to hear you are okay, but those poor folks.
Ms. Spookie, I like the " They all matter" one.
-
Any body home? Where is everyone?

-
Luvmygoats-I am sorry about your goat. Thirteen is a nice old age, but I don't know how old goats live. Glad Texas is drying out.. we've had chilly wet weather for the last 2 days.
Spookie- I like the one with all the ribbons and says "they all matter find a cure." Sums it up right I think.
Lovlif- pretty funny dog picture!
-
I'm here! Been on Lowe's shopping for a new disposal. Not fun shopping but this one's going kaput. An oversize cuppa coffee for everyone.
Rosie - hope the tummy is better this morning. Yogurt does a number on my GERD. An hour or so later I'm reaching for the Zantac. Even the less acidic flavored ones. My favorite is Cabot vanilla bean. I could eat it like ice cream. Like the lemon meringue and key lime pie but have to watch those, the worst for me. Never heard of redundant colon but did google some on it just now. Have had IBS for years, come/goes. Know the not getting far from the toilet syndrome. Actually had to take an Imodium the other day, 1st in several years. Had to be someplace and knew there was no way I was using a dept. store toilet (other than for a standing tinkle lol).

Love - cute dog picture. Wish mine would do that rather than jump at the door.
-
Off for bx results. Minimum we know already is they're is atypical squamous. That's half way between benign and cancer. But I've known that since January. Just needed to find a doc that could take it to the next step. This is the third doc. First two said "I don't know". He knew everything right away and had the bx done in about 20 minutes. Minimum will be surveillance forever. -
Littlegoats, Sorry about you goat. Comforting to have DH with you. If he changes jobs would it be with the same company? That would be nice to not loose time and benefits. VERY happy all that water is not near you. Did you read about that cattle drive through town. Folks came from all over to watch. It seemed like too long for Texas, but they report said it hadn't happened in that town for about 100 years.
Hi Foots thanks, prayerful thoughts your direction too

-
Spookie is that big rain thingy coming my way? The weather channel isn't to helpful. I have to drive to melbourne
-
Sassy - good thoughts for your biopsy results. No would be with the same company. HR dragging heels about posting job which is 1st requirement. Another guy wanting to change jobs, I almost think they might trade jobs IF HR gets off their collective hineys. He needs to be somewhat happy in his job, still has a little over 2 years until I turn 65.
Yes I saw pictures of the cattle drive. Disasters bring out the best in people. Have seen stories of horses boarded, a cat place boarding dogs from rescue facility. In Texas shelters don't stay open long, neighbors take in neighbors.
There is still flooding. Getting tweets just about an hour ago about a levee breach south of Dallas.
Try Weather Undergound. It has an OK looping radar. http://www.wunderground.com/
For that matter the weather channel online's is OK too
-
My bet is you're going to get something soon. Maybe not that big stuff over by Spookie. Hard to tell how fast it's coming your way.
-
Thanks LG's I was afraid that system was heading my way. Looks seriously nasty. First time in years I can put the car in the garage and I have to be out driving in it. Guess I'll head out early. Thanks on the biopsy.
-
I wouldn't bet on that big stuff not getting you. Just not very soon. Hopefully a quick trip
-
Went for a 3 mile walk with a friend this morning. Beautiful day today. It feels good to start exercising again.
Hey Rose!!! Hope today is a better day for you. I promise I won't try to practice medicine on any one TODAY. Starting last year I have been experiencing bone pain a few days before it rains and sometimes I get a headache nowhere near a seven though. It's interesting how the fluctuations in the barometric pressure affect our body.
Goats, no fun when things break down. Had a technician came by yesterday to fix our refrigerator that we bought 2 &1/2 years ago! We have the one with the freezer on the lower section. For the last few months we had to take out sheets of ice that built up on the bottom of the fridge. It's like a skating ring down there. We should have called them sooner since it's still under warranty, but I get stressed out when I have people coming to our house to fix anything or even to clean the house. So I end up trying to fix or do things myself with little success.I know I am weird. And I know what you mean about using public restroom when you have the run. My biggest fear is when I am on the road in another country especially in less developed countries where public restrooms are scarce and NOT what we are used to here and the sound of mini thunder in your stomach forewarn you of the coming storm...oh boy. You start to panic, sweat bullets, and start praying that you make it to your destination in time. Thank God I was delivered each time. Yes, yogurt bothers my stomach too when it's not behaving. Just looked up and saw your other post. Took me nearly an hour to write because I get distracted easily. Anyway, disasters does bring out the best in some people. It brings joy to my heart to hear that people are out there trying taking in neighbors or trying to help each other out.
Ms. Sass, hoping for favorable biopsy result. You have a lot of roller coaster rides
-
Oh Ms. Chevy, I got some Aloe Vera juice for my younger daughter Faith because she gets canker sores often from wearing braces. It helps her. I told her about you and she asked me "Could you thank Ms. Chevy for me?". So thank you
-
Oh THANK you! Yes, mix it in a smoothie! Add a banana with any kind of juice, and that flavored coffee cream! 1/4 C. of Aloe! It does wonders for anyone.... is also a natural anti-biotic.... I had a bleeding ulcer years ago, and I drank it 3 times a day for MONTHS, and just the first day I tried it, that PAIN was gone!
Hope you gals weather is okay.... just plain hot here.... have to stay inside this time of day..... Ha! FIRST it was the never-ending cold and snow.... NOW it is HOT! Almost 100 on our back patio!
OH! Get this.... See, I KNOW we are on water restrictions.... okay? So I set the rotator sprinkler for 1/2 hour yesterday.... I was going to shut it off before we went shopping.... Okay, that's right! I forgot! When we got back home I saw one of those tiny little puny "cars" out front.... I thought, "OH CHIT!" I turned off the hose, went and talked to the guy, and first thing he said was "You aren't in trouble".... This is just a note to remind you that you aren't supposed to water between 10 a/m and 6 p/m.... EVERY day! Like NEVER! Then he gave me a sprinkler, a gift from the water department, and told me I could hand water any day, just NOT between 10 & 6....
We can water 3 days a week.... And I do must of it by hand ANYway.... Bet I never do THAT again! I got so busted!
And Lilgoats.... I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for any of our pets, or animals.... I'm glad your Husband was with you...... I'm sorry.......
And one other thing.... I am so sick of this Bruce Jenner crap! And those pictures of him/her?????? Am I the only one that is just disgusted by the whole mess? The Kardashians are bad enough, but now THIS? Maybe I'm just too told for this..... but holy criminy! Eeeeeeeeeks!
-
LMG - Yep I had never heard of a redundant colon either until the GI doc couldn't get through 2x with the longest scope they had, then went for a virtual colonoscopy to "see" the rest. That's when I got my bone mets identified. My GI doc did a PET scan after that. So the IBS is really mechanical obstruction too many folds, twists and turns, gas/ stool gets caught, bloating misery and D/constipation results. Lovely. Every time I experience a change in water my bowels freak. I went to visit Hawaii for 10 days and spent 1/2 of it with horrific D and N/V. They have very nice bathrooms even public ones in Hawaii.. lined cans to puke in. It was not fun. One cup of Kona coffee the entire time I was there, I was so dissappointed! First time I went to Florida same thing, once in a while even up at the cabin the water will trigger the D. Sigh.. to have this and stage 4 just seems a bit unfair. I have lost 5 pounds letting my intestines rest on a UC type diet... I feel so much better. The barometer and head aches thing is real and doctors should accept that there folks who suffer when storms come in - too many of us for it to be ignored - right Spookie!!
Like you Sassy.. enough is enough! Hope the biopsy comes out ok. I insisted the skin PA take off a small weird mole on the side of my Knee in 09. Turned out stage 0 melanoma and they took margins - ouch! He wanted to watch it and I told him no take it off. No return so far. My Mom had a stage 1 melanoma taken off her leg too. There is a ton of skin cancer in my DH's family. His poor Dad looked like a burn victim with all the skin grafts. My DD2 had an atypical mole removed at age 15 with margins. It's nothing to fool around with.
I am so glad Texas cme together for the flooded victims and animals. It was like after Katrina and so many folks took the displaced animals for over a year, returned some and kept/adopted out others. Heartwarming.
Have any of you dried tulip bulbs, lifted them, stored and then transplanted in the Fall? I have decided I will lift all my bulbs in pots and store them. We have so many critters squirrels that eat tulip bulbs that I am hiding them. I just don't want them to get moldy and rot.
Hi Foots. Prayers of well being your way too! How is Faith doing? How is your breathing these days? Be well.
-
Chevy - yes I am also sick of the whole bruce Jenner saga. Oooh you got the water police after you.
Rose - feel better soon. Did you say you are not taking your cancer meds now ?
Loveroflife - 3 mile walk - wow you go girl. Hope your dh feels better soon
Blondie - hugs
Marla - glad you are doing so well on day 6. Yea !
SAS - praying for good bx results
Luvmygoats - sorry to hear sbout your goat dying.
I had an awesome day with ds2 yesterday. Like off the chart. !!! The nurse called and said my lab from yesterday showed my thyroid still too low. Increasing thyroid meds. I am relieved to know that's what has been causing my migraines not progression. Yea !!
Hootie hoo
-
just came! (The box, not me 😳).

Thank you Sass! Very pretty. Hope your bx is ok. Nothing serious!
Sorry to hear about the goat. Hope people with D are doing better.
Did I tell you that I'm going to be a great-g? The DGD that has to do IVF did, it took on the second attempt! Didn't know they were already trying. I haven't ask but his Gparents must have given them the $$. So the baby is due in February on my dad's birthday. Hope it's a girl. We have boys coming out of our ears.

Chevy, how can you guys be on water rationing with all that snow? And now it's too HOT? What's that, in the 80s
