Yeah it is unheard of. They said we are running about 10 degrees warmer than usual. I'll take the warmer weather over freezing weather!
-
Wishing all the mothers here a Happy Mothers Day weekend. That means mothers of pets, and all you women who care and nurture others.
-
Praying for all those that are facing storms, You are in good
hands. Happy Mothers day. I usual go to my mom grave sight
but I thought I would plant flowers in the yard. to remind me of
her. Happy Mothers Day to everyone here.
Ps they steal the flower at her grave sight. and sell them at patio sales
-
Footprints- what a lovely way to remember your mom. I think I will do the same.
-
Ever since my "kids" came into my life, I have gotten something for Mother's Day from them.
-
Foots, yes, some individuals steal flowers from grave sights. We don't use flower containers, but plant the flowers in the ground.
Looking forward to another day in the high 80's.
Husband and I heading out on errands and lunch.

Teka- my best friend still lives in my home town and where my parents are both laid to rest. They always go to the cemetery on holidays and other special days and put something on the grave for one/both parents. So sweet. I cannot tell you how much that touches my heart.
People stealing things off the resting place of loved ones to me just the worst.
-
Happy Early Mother's Day to everyone here
(even if your child has 4 legs)Mother's are very special gift's from God

Just enjoying the morning before I get busy!
-
Went to the herb festival today before it got cold! A somewhat wintery storm came through and brought cold temps and a blast of precip this morning. I got down there before that all happened, but dang it felt like winter came back. My friends in the mountains tell me that it snowed up top this morning. We had this happen last year too, it snowed in Santa Fe over Memorial Day weekend last year. Where did spring go?
Here is my loot from the herb fest. Some more flowers for the gardens and the herbs in front for my herb pots.
-
Got a few things done today. Feel like I accomplished something.

hi chicklettes,
Been layin low, healing, napping. Watchin fun stuff on youtube. Walking, Stretchin and breakin up scar tissue with yoga. Ouch, but necessary. Cooking, downsizing, spending time with DH. Just 4 more herceptins left. My deportation will come after July10!!!! Whenever I feel useless and unemployed I just say screw it, it will keep till after September. I would like a short gig soon though.
Scheduled a dentist appt and a few classes at tech college. Getting fitted for a lymph sleeve and some therapy. Life rolls on, yes?
Love the pic of flowers and wild ass weather. Spring!!!
Happy mothers day to all
-
Bippy, "deportation" - that is cute. Made me chuckle
-
I covered the more vulnerable plants tonight. It is going to be down to the 30s. Dang winter came back. Hello, it's May 9th old man winter!
-
Sent up Mother's Day wishes to my late sister in Heaven this morning upon waking.
-
I spent my morning in the garden thinking about my mother, her sister, my grandmothers and aunties who are all on the other side and they all loved gardening too.
-
For Teka.
-
Jazzy, perfect ending for Mother's Day!
-
Woke up to the house being as warm as it was when we went to bed!

*Good Morning Hermits*
Monday had thunderstorms with gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rain followed by cool Spring days.
I've been keeping busy with outdoor Spring clean-up and tending to flower beds.
Even though a little cool........................
I found the following of interest........................ -
Teka- cool facts about coffee. I have also heard it helps with memory/dementia risks too. Lots of that in my family.
Today's sunrise. Glad I was up early to see it!
-
What a lovely sunrise!!

Hi Folks, I am another "missing" person and haven't been here in awhile. I, too, haven't had time to read and catch-up but will do so since school is almost done. So-let me give you an update on me. First let me say the new AL--Aromasin has made a big difference in my life. Many of the side effects, I had from the Arimidex--disappeared and my quality of life is indeed better. So much have happened--had the first faulty implant removed and replaced. On the good side--Had the my breast lift and reduction redone--correctly this time. I had a nipple reconstruction and I can say he did an excellent job. I have 5 days of school left before summer starts and next year--I retire so that is sort of exciting. At last I am on a 6 months schedule to see the oncologist. Just one little hiccup-- I've been having trouble with my left leg for about a week--pins and needles, dead limbs, excruciating spasms of pain and then red blotches. I was afraid bone mets. Well, you guess it! I got Shingles. Well--so glad it isn't bone mets--of course! Since it is on my leg and I teach high school students, the school has allowed me to work the last 5 days as long as I keep it covered. So thank God for pain pills. I guess with all we go through--Shingles is just another challenge. Hope all you are doing well!
-
Dwill- good to hear from you. Glad that things are better and sorry about the shingles. I agree it is better than anything more going on with the leg.
Glad you have the summer ahead to look forward to as well as retirement next year! You go girl!
-
Dwill, shingles!
This Summer and next school year making plans for retirement.
-
Dw thanks 4 checking

Hope everyone here is glad to be to Friday. Been a bit of a challenging week with some asthma problems, that I am finally turning the corner on. Feeling the best I have today since Monday! I went to see my PCP wed and started Advair treatments, which have really helped. Been in this place before with my asthma. We are having an unusually rainy spring right now with brings humidity with it, and that is my problem.
Also went to see my derm today for a follow up on the basal cell removal last summer. The last of my follow ups and everything looking good. Got a full body check again and all is well there too. Nice to be through another "follow up" around a cancer thing with no issues.
Here is today's featured bloom from my garden. This pink prickly pear started blooming a few weeks ago and is almost done. The yellow one may be coming out next.......
-
Jazzygirl, beatiful blooms. Thank you for sharing.
-
Still getting lots of rain here. Two hail storms yesterday too (ugh). This photo gives you a sense of the storms here in the desert.
All this moisture is a real treat. And yes, it is snowing in the mountains here too!
-
Jazzy, what a view!
May is 1/2 over and I want Summer to move at a snail's pace.
