there is a de-cluttering thread?????? That made me laugh.....is there a therapy thread for those who can't de-clutter???? My hubby needs that. Not as bad as his mom was...but close. I can throw stuff out...but I can't touch his stuff. And my daughter tells me to throw out her stuff , cause she is married and 4 hours away. I can't throw her stuff out, so her hubby is coming to Chicago for a test for med school, I packed most of the stuff up of hers and he is taking it back with him...Ha ha. She will, prob throw most of it out, butI feel like i am throwing her out I if i toss her things...isnt that weird.....again,therapy thread anyone...lol
-
Susan! EXACTLY! No, I can't touch his "stuff" either.... Not his shirts, that he has had for 50 years, nor his pajamas, that he never wears anymore.... NOTHING!
And yes, I have one of my Daughter's boxes TOO! It has some of her school stuff.... even diaries! But she doesn't want to take them back to Orlando, so she can "visit" them when she comes here.... Ha! No.... I couldn't ever throw anything of our Daughter's things, NOR my Grand-sons school papers!
We just can't "let-go" of some of our memories! Then there is that huge box with my Grandma's things, along with my Mom and Dad's....!
It's part of "who we are".... right?
-
Susan- yes, here it is! It is not super busy like here, but we get folks talking about stuff.
I went out in the garage today just a little while ago as I worked on the other side of the garage and saw an opaque storage box I thought had paper in it, but nope, more fall and Halloween decoration stuff! So I had some boxes of that already and was able to consolidate some more. I decided I probably need to donate some of my fall and Xmas decorations. I rarely entertain any more, just a few decorations for myself will do!
I think the whole BCO site is a therapy thread!

Clutter, clutter everywhere! When we all grew up my parents told us "if you want your things, take them now or else". Well when we cleaned out the house when my Mom went to the nursing home, we found out why. There wasn't any place for anything. All 14 closets were full, both attics packed full, 2 basements jammed, and the storage building 24 x 48 full but room for 2 cars and 2 boats. And a large box filled with our cherished baby toys for myself and my two brothers.

Just got off phone with SAS, she said she won't be around for 30 days. She is ok.
-
Okay..... looks like it's up to you and me babe! I'm just drinking a chocolate coke.... it is so beautiful out.... been fooling around watering my tomato plants, etc.....
Cammi posted on the drinking thread.... probably doesn't feel like spending too much time on the computer, but at least she is out there somewhere.... Love you Cams.....xoxoxo
-
Spookie- is Sassy off on an adventure, feeling okay or just taking a break from BCO for a bit? Just wondering if all is okay?
-
I can only say she is ok. Sorry
-
Spookie- that is all we need to know. Send her our love!
-

Loverly, The pics of all animals are special. But why is it Giraffes--are so sweet. That is just a great pic.
-
Spookie- excellent news. Congrats on the good labs and all the rest and maybe not having to go in quite so often. Whew!
Sas- welcome back!
-
had the CT scan today, it came back clear. That's great! BUT, why do I still hurt? All the labs are normal, no ulcer, no infection. Mostly it stays around a 3-4, then will get a little worse then better. Doesn't seem to actually stop but doesn't stop me from sleeping. Dropped another note to doc to see what else she thinks.
Spookie, good for you.
Night all
-
Welcome back! You were not even gone 30 hours! Spookie- great news on the labs and longer times between visits. Hope Patty is doing better and Blondie did you get yourself a Miss Daisy Driver yet???? What the heck is wrong with social services outside of Philly.. I used to live n Philly, city of brotherly love - get with it! They need to get you connected. Wren are you better after your little charge got wings?
I am beat going to bed early because I was up almost every hour on the hour last night.. got this huge mouth ulcer.. owieee. Hate these things. Be well.
-
Rose, OUCH......warm salt water....
Sas, I was lurking around last night, I read all the banter.....what was she thinking.......well I guess she had a major lapse in common sense, cause it was a WTF......are you a 12 year old ????? No, most kids are more compassionate. Hate drama.....
2nd Timer, great to see YA pop in.
Blondie, imagine how much food you would receive if we all lived close. Too much salad & lasagna? Zip it over to Blondie....

oh, I had my 6 month radiologist appt today. DH says, didn't you just see him? Well yes, 6 months ago. The appts. Never end. I whined ( crap, did not want to do that ) about why does my sister get a MRI every other year, I do not, or have not had one yet. He said, realistically, that should not be my big concern, MBC is more likely. Oh, a young Dr. that is not afraid to speak the truth. My MO never talks. Weird silence.....
Night to all, sweet dreams....
-

Hi1--part of the reverse on the ban is I leave it be. so....no comment.. I dislike being banned.---a month without you guys would be awful. Had to do 2 months on the last ban it was awful----awful

I was supposed to go in for zometa... cancelled the appointment because of that bad cold/flu I had.. never rescheduled. conflicted. The first dose made me feel like I hd the flu - fever, chills aches.. I just got over the flu. :-( Don't you just get sick of it all??

Rosie, I took off all Bio info when I was OMG They Found A Cure for Stupid. In the first hundred pages, it was a pee yourself thread. At one point someone said our 'stuff' was showing up on Fb. We quickly changed names and avatars. I became me and my dear dog. I had no problem with folks here knowing my bio stuff, felt violated that it was being shared on FB. My hx. is pretty strange. Not stage 4, but two cancers and a brain tumor. Seem to be just ahead of the 4. Sounds awful---but I have joked that I'm collecting cancers. What can I say---bizarre humor follows bizarre happenings. Can't answer on PM b/c I think I'm back to being limited. But what's nice about no bio---is it's not facing me everyday when I post----that's very nice. -
So you had a brain cancer, thyroid and breast cancer, but no recurrance. Lucky. I thought you were stage 4 so I was in error. I have had stage 3A ILC and the stage 4, also melanoma on my right knee. You are right the first 1/3 of they found a cure for stupid was hilarious that's what started me on this area of the boards.
-
Ms Sas, giraffes remind me of calmness. That was my code to you. When Ms Spookie mentioned that you will be away for 30 days, I had a feeling. I am glad you are back. I hate that awful feeling when you are cut off from your lifeline/support. Yes, it happened to me once a few months ago when someone from another forum had a question on oncotype number and I posted a link. Within a few minutes I received a notice that I was BANNED! I was not aware of any violation. I was so upset I wanted to cry, so I totally understand the feeling of "being disciplined". Luckily, I was given access several hours later after the Mods reviewedmy "case". I was found innocent. I have been trying to be on my best behavior ever since.
