Lab work came back. Liver enzymes in the 200's. Bilirubin normal. Sigh. Thank You, Lord, for giving me a family vacation to look forward to.
- Penny
-
Yay Penny - enjoy your vacation!
-
That's good, right Penny? I'm not familiar with liver enzyme numbers. I think that is good so YAY!
Have a great family vacation!
-
Well, the elevated liver enzymes are not good at all. The bilirubin is normal and the family vacation is good so Thank You, Lord for two out of three.
-
Dang it, Penny. I always hold my breath when I have enzymes done. When they were high on chemo (199), my onc said she wasn't concerned...said they could've messed up w/the blood in the lab...she could tell I was doing ok. Three weeks later, they were down. I remember when your bilirubin was high & you felt really awful. With your bilirubin normal, how are you feeling? I'm glad for a diversion from cancerland!!! Have fun, drink lotsa water (and Pom pomegranate juice), have fun, rest, & HAVE FUN!
3/16...happy dancin for you!!! Patty...De Nile can be a good place to visit!! Hoping you & Diana have good news soon. I can't decide whether I want my onc to tell me when scans are. I see him 4/22...maybe I'll plan a trip to De Nile!!
-
Ronnie - the last time my liver enzymes went up, the bilirubin did as well - it was because I had contracted hepatitis. I actually feel really good, praise God! Thanks for asking.
What is the benefit from pomegranate juice?
:-) Penny
-
Penny...I believe feeling well is a good sign...my onc always placed great value in that! Pomegranate juice (real juice) was listed in the AntiCancer book by David Serven-Schreiber (sp) as an important cleansing liquid for the liver. The book has so much good diet info. I drink 8 oz ever day, first thing in the am. Studies have shown it's had great impact w/prostrate patients. I get it at Sam's Club...like Costco. It's spendy but...read about it & see what you think. XOXO
-
Prostate!!! I can't stand when people don't know the diff :-)
-
augh, sorry Penny. I'm glad to hear you are feeling well, though. Maybe some R&R will help.
Thanks for the pomegranate juice tip RonnieKay. I'll look for that the next time I go to Costco.
-
I'm sorry too Penny - guess I don't know my liver enzymes from my elbow. At least you're feeling good - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
-
Penny-enjoy your vacation-worry about everything AFTER you return.
-
Wish you had better lab news, Penny. But that vacation should prove to be some very good medicine. Enjoy!!!!
Love to you…
Rose.

haven't talked to mo but seen pet scans results online. A lot I didn't understand. What I did understand is no new growth ! I'll take it
-
Thank You, Lord! Here's your Hallelujah squirrel, PattyPeppermint:
-
Yay, Patty!!!
-
Wonderful news Patty! New new growth. Beautiful!
-
Hooray for stability, Patty! That's something I'll always take!
-
Go, Patty, Go! Fantastic news. No new growth is holding steady - I like it! SUE
-
Great news Patty
-
My scan is on Wednesday morning, oh boy...I am hopeful for good results but not overly confident either. I normally get tm's tested with every tx but last time the results were never posted so I am not 100% certain which direction things are moving. My only indicator is that I don't have a lot of pain so hopefully that proves to be a good sign.
-
MusicLover-Here's hoping you get your Hallelujah Squirrel from Penney! I think that is the cutest thing! -
Screech, Thank you! Me too, I love that squirrel too!!! It is the cutest thing. I will post my results as soon as I get them. I just wanted to hear good luck from at least one person on here, so I am good to go now.
-
Good Luck from me too MusicLover! Not having much pain is always a good sign. I have a good feeling you'll get your squirrel!
-
