rose and everyone else who is waiting on scans I will be thinking of you and I hope everything turns out good .
carpe diem..so sorry for the news .hope your next tx will work wonders for you .
love chris
-
Yay for all those with good news. Carpe diem, i'm sorry fo your news. I'd tell myself it would have been much worse if you hadn't had such fun in NZ. Hope your next treatment kicks cancer butt but is gentle on yours.
-
My time in the waiting room is now over. I had a PET and CT on Friday and met with my MO last night. After 11 months since my diagnosis and one semi-successful first line of treatment, TDM1/Kadcyla has officially brought me to NED status!! Original tumor, 4 lymph nodes, and mets to my lungs and sternum, all gone!

becs511
hooray ,so happy for you . love chris

bec hip hip hooray love these stories altough i am very aware this is not the necc the normal outcome. did you do something wonderful to celebrate. i think we got to celebrate each victory. we (i) certainly sprital with bad news gotta come back up to be hapy and excited to be alive. and for today i'll take it.

I love this thread-it's so nice to have one place to go to see at a glance how people are doing and to know when to keep them in my thoughts. Congratulations to all that have been able to post good news! I can add myself-NED with 3/26 PET. I will continue to keep everyone that didn't get the news they wanted in my thoughts and pray that they get good news the next time!Does anyone know if there are statistics re: percentage that reach NED? Does reaching NED influence prognosis very much?

Becs511 & Screech - Thank You, Lord!

Add me to the happy dance list - just came back from onc. appointment and more faslodex and after three months scan shows regression and tm's are trending down - onc. is thrilled as am I! Becs511 & Screech will be toasting you with my tea this afternnoon.
-
Sandy… Yay!!! Wonderful news!
Carpe… Just want to give you my encouragement. I was on Xeloda for five months, then had a liver ablation. My liver remains clear. I know how discouraging progression can be, but I'm hoping you can turn this around quickly!
And add me to the list of happy people today. A nurse just called with my CT results. NED! So the pain I've been having for over a year now is treatment related (surgery/rads/anti-hormonals). Not every pain is cancer!
I hope more good news follows here. Thank you all so much for your kindness.
Rose.

Yeah, on the good scans and hopefully improvement is on the way for those who haven't gotten good news this time around! (I'm jealous of Caryn's awesome threads - nice job Caryn!!! this thread is humming...)

208 and Steelrose and everyone else.....CHEERS!!!!
-
congrats and yea to everyone getting good results! I'm new to iv and am still waiting on scan results. I'm a nervous wreck! I'm not adjusted to this new life as stage iv! I had 15 years of good news and now we're all devastated. I'm empty and lost. I appreciate all your posts but I'm scared to death at this point! Sorry to be a downer!
-
Northtexas, plz don't apologize; we've all been at that starting point and know how it feels, your feelings are very understandable. The beginning is very rough. I hope you find support and hope on this forum. It took me many many months to sort things out. I still have my ups and downs but appreciate that we All have this place where we can find others going through similar experiences.
-
Wow, lots of great results!
Well done & enjoy the feeling
kt -
I hope your scans come back ok Northtexas- it's always hard waiting.
Thinking of you
-
i get a pet scan on thur am. never had one. tumor markers are down . have had so many c\t scans and mri's in hospital so feeling pretty goood about the pet. my only concern is that i have heard pet shows every little spot light up and it may be healing or imflammation. mo said is often causing conern from something that may never porgress to cancer since they can see it when it is so small its more of a baseline pet. really? baseline??? was dx stage IV June 2013, guess its just part of the new tx since my mo retired and this is the new guy. holding out thoughts on him seemed both very smart and compassionate - which i love - and also rushed. - which i hate. -
-
208sandy and steelrose - Wonderful news! Happy dancing with you!
Northtexas and Patty and anyone else I missed - Waiting with you and hoping for GREAT results!
-
Patty, I don't think you will find it to be too much different and they will be able to differentiate between healing and cancer, so don't worry about that.
-
Whoa...I just ate a bag of chocolates...to celebrate such good news! So happy, and honestly, relieved, for all: Caryn, Shutterbug, Screech, Steel, Sandy, Becs...I'll eat a couple more just in case I forgot someone. I also eat them because it makes me feel better when I'm thinking of the not such good news...I think we've all been there, NorthTexas...it's hard to feel positive & hopeful with a stage 4 dx...but there IS hope, as this thread conveys...and strength from so many on this journey with you. I'm praying for miracles all around!
-
thank you for positive thoughts!
-
NorthTexas - you're not a downer - we're waiting with you.
-
Yes, North TX - agreeing with 208 and the rest-we're all in this together. -
hi all Excited to see great news from screech and 208! I just got my pet scan report and am joining the happy dance all 5 bone mets are reducing. Will see RO on Friday to learn more
Thanks to everyone for sharing experience and wisdom. I am so new at this and find learning here soooo valuable.
-
Scan next Thursday. Not anxious as I view scans as more information. Hopefully no progression and only good news. Liver lesion maybe has shrunk. Will post after results. Taxol has worked for me since July. Hoping for easier tx. Great thread. Thank you
-
