I have a question maybe someone can answe. I had my ct on 3/24. I have lung mets....have reduced from 50 to 6. No change from Dec. ct. Dr. Says that is great. No taxotere since Jan. Only on Herceptin and perjeta.

Is anyone else on H&P despite not being NED on scan? Worries me.

    Thanks

Beatmon, I am on perjeta and herceptin and I do not have NED. For various reasons, I have waited to start the taxotere since I am recently diagnosed. My oncologist said I could consider not doing the taxotere and just stick with the H+P. While I really want to do this because no taxotere=no bad side effects, I'm not sure if it is wise. I would also love to know if anyone achieved NED or was stable with H+P only. But, perhaps that is for a separate thread.

Congratulations, Caryn for your good scan! Woot-woot!

Another Muga in 2 weeks. Seems like it is always one scan or another! I want them...just hate the anxiety.

I always get the cd from the ct scan, wish I could put all on the screen at once like the onco. So I could compare easier. Of course since I'm a nurse, not a Dr. I'm always nervous until he confirms or tells me I am wrong

Macy - mine is actually the pet/ct combined too.

Thanks all, for the info, and good luck to all waiting for results these days.

Caryn - great news!!! Happy dancing for you. I'm on spring break too (preschool teacher). I'm so glad you can relax now and enjoy yours!

Beatmon, I too am on H&P only and suspect I will never see the elusive (to me) NED. There are a bunch of us on the H&P thread who are constantly comparing notes as well as sharing our news - come on over!

Really glad for folks' good news and sending good karma for those still waiting. SUE

Thanks all. Although I started this thread, spurred on by my own post scan anxiety, I hope the waiting room will be a place for all to come when you find yourself in scan time limbo. It's open 24/7, the sofas are cozy and all types of refreshments are welcome!

Such great news Caryn! Congrats and thank you for starting this thread. I think it has already proven to be very popular!

Beatmon, count me in as stable on H&P and still hoping for NED. I still have a big ol' lump in my breast and stable bones (although it is unclear if they are tumors or just healing bone). Like Sue mentioned, we over on the Herceptin and Perjeta threads are a chatty bunch!

All the best to everyone else waiting for results.

There's a coffee kiosk in the hospital just down the hall from nuclear medicine where I scan. It's brutal having to smell the aroma prior to scanning, knowing its off limits, but I make a beeline to it immediately afterwards. It's the simplest, delicious reward for getting thru the testing.

I have to add my onc to the list of people I love. My bone scan was completed 2 hours ago, and I just received the CT and bone scan reports from her via email. She rocks!

...and so do I on this chemo, apparently. Stable, still, after 12 cycles (9 months). Woot woot! Thanks for letting me curl up in the comfy chair by the fireplace here while I waited. :)

    Kebab,

I am so happy for you! I'm even happier that you're doing well on your current tx. Is it the clinical trial treatment? I got so excited when I read that I was still NED , thatI barely skimmed the actual report. I do know that my right sinus cavity is completely obstructed so it's back to the neti pot for me!

I hope you all come in when you're in scan limbo. I imagine a nice selection of teas, infused waters, finger sandwiches and perhaps wine spritzers. Anything else?

    Caryn

Caryn - thanks so much for starting this thread - had my CT on Monday, results this coming Tuesday as onc appointment to see if Faslodex is working - hope so - I'm out of AI options after this and will have to have chemo.

Delighted to see that you and Kebob got such good news!!!!!

LOVE finger sandwiches (as long as I don't have to make them).
