Patty--That's bad and funny at the same time. I've come to the conclusion that spell-check can be very dangerous. LOL Years ago, my DH was up very late at night preparing a job resume and cover letter. Since it was so late, his brain became foggy, so he got lazy and pressed "correct all" when he ran the spell check on the cover letter. Just before he licked the envelope shut, he decided to take one last look at his work. Good thing he did. The cover letter, which should have began "Dear Mr. Barney Bagwell" instead read, "Dear Mr. Barf Bagel". Oops!

Thanks--glad you like my poem. :)

You must be frustrated being stuck at the hospital. I'll be praying that answers and solutions come soon.

As for sleeping peacefully, not so much! LOL But I'm currently pain free thanks to some Vicodin.

    Morning gals!

Okay THANKS little miss Spookie for the update... Hah! Yes, that IS perfect temperature...

We've having nice weather today, but it's supposed to get COLD and rainy and that damn snow Thursday & Friday... I know, I KNOW we can use the moisture, but I'm about DONE with that for this year... at least the snow!

Jazzy.... Laguna Beah is beautiful... ANY beach is beautiful.... and peaceful.

Rosie, your Grandma was pretty "Hip".... image Man, I remember ONE time, my Brother was on leave from the Navy, and so me and my "boyfriend" who became my Husband, and my Brother, and Linda, who was my boyfriends cousin, all went up to the mountains to stay in this cabin.... ALL night! I mean TOGETHER!!! OVERNIGHT!

We just had the most fun, cooking dinner, etc! A lot of ETC'S, but it was FUN!

But we had this sinking feeling on the way home the next day, that we would be BUSTED!!!!! So we stopped at Mother Cabrini's Shrine on the way home.... (like THAT would do any good!)..... Sure enough, my GRANDMA found out!!!!!!!! Oh Horrors! I was living with them at the time, and I cooked up this "I'm going over to Donna Martinelli's house to stay all night" ..... which I didn't even KNOW a Donna Martinelli! So somehow, she found out....! She must have called HIS Mom, and she must have said HE ISN'T HOME EITHER! Grandma was probably employed by the Secret Service!

Well we survived, but in THOSE days.... it was totally frowned on.... Things finally cooled off, and we finally got married about 6 months later, but MAN I was scared! Hah!

Hopeful.... Our wedding was at a JP... but so nice, and pretty..... My Dad sent Orchids with my Mom, who came from Cali, so it was a special day!

Our honeymoon had to wait a couple days, so we could go pick up my Husband's drivers license! He lost it, because of too many tickets for loud pipes..... Haaaaaah! Then we DID go to another cabin for an overnight honeymoon.... legal this time.

I fixed corned-beef & cabbage that next day.... IN the cabin! I must have been nuts.

And so PEPPERMINT! You are still on the FRITZ??? Just move to the hospital.... family and all. Have them charge you for a suite of rooms, and tell them you give up! And to find out once and for all what is going on!

Tell them your friends can't keep track of you.... and need a permanent address, one in which you will remain for over 2 days! The Hospital is a safe bet....Ha! Who is examining you? The 3 stooges? We need someone with some sort of degree in something, other than how to roll a joint.

Tell THEM you are dwindling down.... that you need ANSWERS..... preferably from THEM and not from us....Although it's a safe bet, answers from US are about as good as THEIRS are!

Smarty.... you are so full of baloney! George? How do you know "dragon language"? That was my next question.... GEORGE is my Husbands name. So who would name a Dragon GEORGE? It should be something like FLAME, or maybe SNARL!!!! Have her change it.

And I still don't know how you DO those designs and quilt stuff! Beautiful anyway.... Your WHOLE family has that genius gene.... Oh wait.... I just made that up..... A "Genius Gene"....

Jazzy! Good for you.... sounds like fun! And LOOKS like fun!

Wren.... that is good.... Peppermint's brain forgot where "up" is.... Hah!

We shouldn't be making jokes..... should we? Okay.... never mind... maybe she will laugh....

Mombie... Love your poem... You are a poet.... and don't know it..... Your FEET know it, they are LONGFELLOWS! That's a joke, although somewhat lame....Remember that? I learned that one in school....

Hi Foots! Welcome back! You doing okay? Just say yes, then I won't keep prodding you.....

Oh wait..... You are into "porn" Peppermint? What's this? Am I to understand you can do that in the hospital? What am I missing here? You bring your own porn movies to the hospital? Aren't YOU the popular one!!!

Something must be wrong with your equilibrium .... and your ability to retain fluids... So stay DOWN, and drink gallons of water... Those guys need to do more than just put their heads together.... they need to figure out what is going ON there! And tell them I SAID so!

Mombie.... that was funny about Mr. Barf Bagel! Hah! GOOD one!

Good morning to you too Chevy. I enjoyed your morning post. You are quite amusing. :)

I still haven't gone to sleep yet. I'm going to pay for it today. I'm sure I'll crash soon. It's 5:30am here. My alarm will go off in an hour and a half Living up to my name today. <sigh>

Good morning to all the rest! Thanks to any who stayed up part of the night with me. I discovered the word game threads. Fun.

PattyPeppermint, I hope that your head is feeling better after being bounced off the floor! And I hope the new minds will have some better ideas to get you well and back home with your family. A little porch time in the sunshine in your rocker will make you good as new! Take Care

WOW Mombie Z, that prayer is beautiful. Please, put it on the W&F's page if you don't mind. Talented. We have so many here with talent. Even Chevy with her stiletto's and poles :)

    Smarrty gorgeous quilt.

Jazzy, great that you got away for a visit. Sun and Fun AND music and dancing. Perfect.

Rosie, I love your stories. Congrats on the anniversary :)  I did almost the same thing on the wedding. We gave the parents 10 days notice. But my Mom & Dad had a restaurant. It was suppose to be small about 50 people.  Ended up around 160. DH's side was a total of 15. About 30 or so friends. The rest were my family. Mom made phone calls. My dress was 12.99 cotton muslin with lace Victorian. I was already into antiquing in  1972. Still the cost was just over 1000$. ....... Dh and I met in Sept, started living together in October, and got married in June. Everyone thought we were pregnant. The style of tops that were in fashion then was the 'angel top'. Didn't wear any for four months. First time I wore one, my MIL said "You are pregnant". We were married for 38 years when he passed. But didn't get preggers for twelve years. Took lot's of ribbing on that.

See Patty, more than one person thinks a helmets a good idea.

    Spookie all the tests done?

DS called about Easter. They will be at GF's Sunday.  He says that Gf and Mom are going to do some Mom and daughter thing on Sat.  Me, he wants to go to a microbrewery that's new locally. DS thinks DBF and I are split up. I think I will just leave him in the dark. Easier.

    . Waving at everyone I missed \ / \ / \ / \ /

Happy April fools. I have a biz lunch today and hope my colleague does not play any tricks on me!

Teka- love it! Hope you are doing well and seeing more signs of spring in North Country.

Patty- I hope the tests will help you to know more about what is going on. Just sorry to hear you are back in the hospital.

Mombie- yup, I was up last night! I attribute it to some high dose chocolate I ate too close to bedtime that made it hard to fall asleep and worse to stay asleep. My bad!

Chevy- another beach photo. This is at Newport Beach.

Scrolling for something else. Found these. Thrifted 8 of them b/c I thought they were over the top quirky. Thrift $ either .25 or .50 cents. Seller has thm listed for 24.99. Never would I pay that much, but fun someone thinks they are worth that.

Thanks for the postcards, Jazzy. I love that area but haven't spent any real time there in a decade. George Benson's concert must have been a treat, too.

Chevy, et al - thanks for the April Fool's humor.

Hopeful- my sister has lived out there for 21 plus years now, but is going to be moving/retiring to Palm Springs so I expect my visits to that location will be ending soon. Then I will be going to Palm Springs instead!

Mombie- loved your poem and the little hearts quilt. I wish I knew how to quilt, lovely and practical too.

Chevy you just bust me up. I guess by the time I made it through the late 70s prohibitions had eased up considerably. Since I was out on my own working I kind of felt .. my life, my choices. I wanted my parents to like who ever I picked but if they didn't, I wasn't going to fall apart! I think that's why going to school and having a job makes you think clearly and gives you more independence. My Grandma really liked my DH, said he was a nice guy, smart and funny- good pick she told me.

Sassy- well you are lucky having a restaurant in the family! I am sure with the family and all it was a very good time. I love old fashioned vintage dresses! You should share a picture.

Patty they need to make a bumper beanie for you! They also need to call in the troops and figure out WTH is going on to cause so many repeat admissions, falls, episodes of dehydration, diarrhea and elevated counts. I hope they are doing blood cultures and sending them all off. If you were on medicare they would call in a review and refuse to pay for repeat admissions with the same issue, especially so close together. I don't know if that counts for oncology issues. You are more upbeat then anyone on the BCO considering!

Hugs to foots! Hope you and your pup are well. Hugs to everyone else out there too. May we all be pain free and have gratitude for the good things in our lives!

Jazzy, did you approve your sister's retirement move? Palm Springs is nice (except in the summer) but doesn't have as much airlift and doesn't have the ocean :( Still there's some interesting architecture and a definite vibe to the place and it sure beats having to visit them in Omaha or wherever!

Patio DBF made. it grew from 8 stones, to 24more, to 30 more then 60 more for a total of 120. He was patient, just kept digging. It'll be in multiple posts :)
