hi, Janet!!! Thank you for your update!!! Good News!!! Keep that wonderful, positive attitude of f yours!!!
-
Hi everyone....I haven't checked in on the thread in a long time, but you all are in my thoughts and prayers often! Tammy, I saw where you got a good checkup....that is wonderful and I am celebrating with you. tenaj....you are going through such a rough time but it seems like you are keeping such a good attitude...hopefully the cold weather will end soon and that will help you feel better. 2 really cold winters in a row is terrible, isn't it? It's time for spring! Kindergarten.....I haven't been able to do much exercising...still have the chemo fatigue. Haven't been able to get a chemo break yet but scans still show the chemo to be working. I just had my 12 or 13th treatment...I have lost track! Should be having more scans soon. We did something crazy back in Oct. Got a puppy. At first I wondered what have we done? He has actually been good for me...gives me something to do and he is a good companion during these long winter months at home. He is still like a toddler....gets into everything....favorite activity is getting into tissue boxes! I have them everywhere cause the herceptin keeps me with a constantly running nose! He definitely keeps me from laying around too much which I am often tempted to do. Take care everyone....sending love and hugs.

hi, Judy!!!! It is always so wonderful to see you here!! I think of you all the time!! You are continually in my prayers!!! Great news, that the chemo is working!! Please let us know how yourscans are!!! Enjoy your dog, you will get plenty of exercise I am sure taking care of him!! How Fun!!! Lots of hugs, love and Blessings to you!!!
-
Hi Judy, great to hear from you! I love dogs!! I am sure your puppy is keeping you busy & loved!!! Enjoy...Very glad to hear your scans results are better from the chemo...Hang in there!!
I am feeling better these days, I am continuing the tapering of my prednisone & am tolerating it so far. My MD actually started me on a new drug that is suppose to help with the pain & tapering of prednisone. Today is day #1.....keeping hope that this will help. When the weather breaks I am back to my walking...it has been brutal here with the weather. Woke up to 2 degrees this morning, unusual for us here! The bay is completely frozen over, it has been decades since I have seen this. I can't complain though, my daughter in Boston has sooooo much snow!!! The pictures are incredible.
Blessings to all! Stay warm & well
((hugs)))

Hi, Tenaj!!! So glad to hear that you are feeling better!! Sorry about the weather, spring will arrive!! I hope you continue to feel better each and every day!! Hi, Tammy!!
-
Hi tenaj.....I am so glad that you are feeling better. Spring weather will surely help...if it ever gets here!
We had the deep freeze last week too and today it is snowing again. I don't think I can take much more of this winter that will not end! Walking outside would feel so nice. Spring can't be too far away......definitely looking forward to it! Good morning kindergarten! Hope you are having a good day too!
-
Hi! Sorry I've been missing for a while but great to read the good news!
Judy, your puppy is soooo cute! Hope your upcoming scans are good.
Janet, I hope the new meds are working for you and that you're not as swollen.
Kathy, what have you been up to? I've been swimming a couple of times and actually started lessons! Now that should keep me busy
-
Good morning ladies! Still COLD & SNOWY weather here......Spring can't come soon enough. Judy,I love the picture of your pup, adorable! I want to rub those ears!! Tammy that is great that you're swimming....such a healthy exercise. Hi Kathy!! So far so good on the tapering, today I dropped down a bit again!! I am still swollen but am feeling better. Maybe next week the weather will break & I can do some walking......Have a wonderful day!!
-
Hi, Jaytee, Tammy, and Tenaj!!! So good to see you all today!! Tammy, swimming is such grat exercise and it is fun, too!! We have a pool downstairs in our complex, but it is cold!! I think they will turn the best on soon!! Jaytee, I pray that you continue to do well! You are such an inspiration!!! Tenaj, I am sure that ascyou keep tapering off the meds, you will be your old self again!! Spring is coming!!!
-
Hi everyone....Hope you are all having a nice weekend. Still cold here, but at least we are not getting a snow storm this weekend! How is it up there for you, tenaj? I know you must have snow fatigue too!
It was finally time for me to get an avatar....the puppy makes a good one! Dh gets up early with him every morning and then brings him in to see me. I wake up every day to that cute little face! The fur on his ears still feels velvety like when we first brought him home.
He has been a good companion for me this winter and he definitely keeps me moving!
-
Hi Ladies!
Judy I love your Avatar! Your pup looks so cute!! We had a rough this week with our dog. He was in the hospital for pancreatitis again & is now diagnosed with diabetes. We need to monitor his blood sugars & give him insulin 2x/day. The good news is that he is doing much better & is more himself now, I'm glad that my DH & I are knowledgeable & comfortable with all that is involved as I can imagine how uncomfortable some people may be to do all of this. Now that the weather has finally broke we all can enjoy our walks!!
Have a wonderful week everyone & hope all are feeling well!
-
Janet, sorry to read about your dog but a good thing he has you to take care of him.
I'm really getting into my swimming as it seems to loosen up my perpetually stiff back!
Happy exercising everyone
-
Happy swimming Tammy! Glad to hear it is helping your back. Proper stretching & simple yoga is great for helping a stiff back. Tight hamstrings can cause lots of back problems,
-
Thanks for the tip Janet! I hope everyone is well and exercising
-
hi, everyone!! I have been off here for awhile!!! Sorry!! Hope you are all doing great!!!
-
Judy, your puppy is adorable!! Janet, hope your sweet dog feels better!! Tammy, I love to swim, have fun!!! Still walking a lot and pulling the grandkids around in their wagon
-
Kathy, enjoy the walking
-
Thank you, Tammy!! It is really warm here, if the the pool at our Condo complex is heated, we may go swimming!! Thanks for the inspiration!!
-
Hi Ladies, I hope everyone is enjoying spring and you are feeling well. The weather here has been horrible. Cold & rainy....I've been doing some short walks, looking forward to a bit warmer weather to ride my bike. It was a high of 42 degrees today, just too cold!! I am still on my tapering of prednisone & it is going well so far. I am down to 10mg this week!!( I was on 60mg.) I haven't lost any weight yet (at least it has stabilized) My VERY round face is getting smaller!! YAY!! Now the trick is to loose the 15 lbs I gained from this episode and the 15+ lbs I wanted to loose before. My plan is start with My Fitness Pal again. It worked before, it helps keep me honest with everything I put in my mouth. Increase activity is my goal too, now that I am feeling better I plan to get more exercise, (Now the key will be not to hurt myself!!)
Have a great day!
-
Janet, slow and steady at first is a good plan....we're doing this for a marathon not a sprint! You've got a great attitude so I'm sure you'll succeed!
Kathy, did you do any swimming? I haven't been for a couple of weeks but I'm back on track on Monday
-
thanks Tammy! Enjoy the weekend !
-
Hi, Tammy and Janet!! Hope you are both doing great! Miss you guys, so let's keep in touch!! Been walking a lot, rode bikes one day, but my main exercise is running after the grandkids!!! Can't wait for the heat to go on in the pool so I can go swimming!!!
-
Kathy, hello! I didn't get back on track on Monday....in fact I've skipped swimming for a few weeks but I really need to get back into it. I'm been a little down with exercise and I've put on a couple of pounds but just this week I'm renewed my efforts! Thank you for keeping me on track!
Janet, please let us know how you are going..good or not so good we DO understand
-
Hi, Tammy, hey you are doing great!! I get off track all the time!!! Hi, Janet, hope you are doing well!!!
-
I have to secretly admit that I enjoyed my "naughty" time
-
Tammy you made me laugh!!!! I like being naughty too... Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Things have been a bit of a struggle & I want to be positive for you girls so I stayed away. Your kind words do make me feel better and I've missed you too. Kathy, your grandkids must be getting so big, sounds like fun exercise.
I'm off the next few days & hope to finally enjoy some long waited warmer weather.
Have a wonderful weekend
(((Hugs))
-
Positive, negative who cares??? It is all about sharing... (((hugs))
-
Tammy , absolutely!!! Hi Janet, you are so allowed to have down times! We care so always come here to talk or vent! I am actually seeing a psychiatrist and therapist now! I was put on a small dose of lexapro! Just having some stress, feeling better every day!! Took a long walk and did hills with hubby and our middle grandchild!! You guys are wondetfu
-
You ladies are wonderful! I just figured everyone is dealing with their own issues that the last thing you need is to hear someone else's troubles. I really appreciate your compassion and support
-
Kathy, good on you for getting the help you need! Janet, we all have our problems and that's why we come here!
