It is cold in California, and there is snow in Orange County!! Hubby and I have been walking a lot and using the gym! Eating has been bad the last week, but will get back on track!! Hugs!!!

Kathy, I'm sure you'll be back on track soon!
-
Hi Ladies! IT's freezing here on Long Island but I did take my dog for a walk today. I bundled up & enjoyed my short walk. My plan is to start out slow & just make sure I move each day! I am feeling a bit better & started tapering my medication. Now I have to get my eating under control!! It was hard this holiday...I know I am up but am not going on the scale yet......just going to keep doing the right things!! Good Luck ladies!!
-
Hi, Janet!!! take your time getting back on track!! You have been through so much!! Hugs to you!

I hope you are all well...sending big (((hugs)))
-
Tammy, How Fun!! I love to swim, but don't do it often! We have a pool in our complex!! Hope you are doing well and keep swimming!! A big hi to Janet!!
I have been walking a lot, and trying to eat healthy
-
Hi Ladies,
Swimming is such great exercise & so much fun. Tammy I hope you are able to continue to use the pool. Kathy, you are very lucky you have one in your complex, it makes it much more convenient. We have a local indoor pool here that I took the kids for lessons when they were babies. I am not into getting wet & drying up before leaving....it is so cold here. The warmer months it would be better!
Well...I certainly haven't lost any weight.... I have only gained weight! This prednisone is keeping me from being disabled,......but the side effects are just horrible. The weight gain, "moon face" & facial hair!!! I am doing the best I can...I go back for a check up with the rheumatologist on 2/11 & will get an update then. When I saw her in December she was hopeful I would be able to taper down on the prednisone, that has been unsuccessful. We shall see...
In the mean while, I drink lots of water & green tea & trying to eat healthy. I have been walking but the weather this past week or so is been terrible here with blizzards, freezing rain & snow.....Looking forward to warmer weather.
Stay warm & well!!
(((hugs)))
-
Hi, Janet, it is always so good to hear from you!!! I know how hard it is to lose weight while on medication!! You are doing all the right things, hang in there!!! There will be good news on the 11th!! Keep us posted!!
-
Janet, I hope all was well with your appointment!
We can only try our best to stay healthy!
I've been meaning to go swimming but haven't quite made it....but this week will be different....I hope
-
Hi Tammy & Kathy! Oh Boy this is a crazy cold winter!! Too much snow & cold!! Can't wait to get moving outside.....
I saw the MD, my blood work has improved & the plan is to get me off or to the lowest dose of prednisone. I have tolerated a decreased dose this week for the first time. YAYI am doing it a smaller dose than was instructed to me at the last appt & so far so good! I hope to be off it 3 months or so...
Meanwhile I am bloated & swollen.....but I am not giving up! I have gotten this far & am not throwing in the towel yet!
Thanks for your support! Have a great week!
