I'm checking in on this forum after being encouraged by 2nd Time Around. Generic Arimidex had me awake at night. I stopped for 3 months after getting through most of the side effects because of capillaritis in my right leg, nothing changed so I restarted on Sep 1 and am sleepless once again. There are worse things to be awake about though. I'm grateful to be fighting this beast.

Morning Owlettes, Another day and all are checking in YAY. Love to see you all :)

Grammykathy welcome---we are her 24/7. so someones here mostly all the time.

Chevy, OH my, 11 below. No I won't tell you how the sun is shining and the sky is blue. The air is crisp and inviting. Nope I won't tell you about that at all. Chevy a Pet is a CT scan that is then followed with a glucose isotope type thingy. The isotope has a particular affinity for Mets.

Mommy good news about you and your Mom.

Bcky , did you get any help with insurance? Hope so, those numbers were way out of line. Most cancer centers are usually right on top of billing from the start making sure insurance is covered.

Spookie, glad your cast is more comfortable. Glad DD & SIL are sitting on GS. Hope it keeps up.

Susan LOVE the birds. Wish we had them flying around here.

2ta you always find such good pics and funnies.

Mags did we hear about outcome?

Dutchy the same ? did the CT show anything

Jwoooo loving the pics. Keep them coming.

    Blessings???????????

    Foots& Blondie& nettie hugs.

Smarrty, saw you on Fuzzy's. Any pics from the trip

Rose, sorry I missed you in Florida. Usuaully would of said I'd drive up for lunch, but still can't sit for long periods.

Thyroid is the plague from hell. Or at least this 6 months plague from hell.

But we are almost to the weekend. AND closer to the holidays. YAY.

Sassy- I may be back. (I am editing this Friday to say I won't be back to Florida but it sure was nice to visit.)

I am very proud of myself that I managed to drive all over Florida and up and down all these highways going 70 mph in a rental car AND I ONLY GOT LOST ONCE! I went all over Amelia Island, Fernandino Beach, St Augustine, Jacksonville and Tampa. I hate keyless cars... they mess me up. I left the dang car on one time and didn't realize it. Couldn't figure out why the airconditioner was on when I opened the door - because the car was still running and was very quiet (good thing it was a quick trip). I loved my trip and the sand, sun, birds and big blue skies and white puffy clouds.

What happened to autumn? I left the trees were covered with leaves and come back to 30 degrees, no leaves wet and cold. They are expecting snow. My Tabby cat is purring on my lap... all my furballs are good. DH did no shopping.. frig is empty! He ate chunky soup for dinner yesterday before picking me up..pitiful.

Howldies (howdy) . Chevy love the border collie hug photo. Hi and welcome to newbies. I'll finish reading the rest of the posts later - got a dentist appointment I forgot about. :-(

OMD!! You will not believe the night I had! 4 months of chemo, I never threw up once! Last night DH feeds me kielbasa (cousin was at church so no real dinner) and I was so sick! Went to go to the bathroom, sat down on the toilet, all of a sudden it's coming up, I stand up and blech! into the toilet and my bladder lets go at the same time. And I'm so sick I can't even clean myself up! Made it to the bed, texted DH "help" and he comes and gets me a wastebasket to throw up in. He offers to help me clean up as I'm lying there in my wet pants, but I opted to wait for cousin (she's better at those things) and she was home soon after. Got me cleaned up and tucked in and I used some of the antinausea cream and I think that helped. But I didn't take any meds because I didn't want them wasted if I threw up again, and the muscle relaxers are what help me rest so not a good night.

What was it about the kielbasa? DH ate it and he was fine. I have been able to eat anything, especially now chemo is over, in fact my biggest problem is that I can and do eat anything. And everything. But man was I sick!

    Now I'm hungry.

Next week is the biopsies, on Thursday. I can't have Celebrex until after, so my joints are going to be hurting, and even worse with the cold. PET scan isn't till December 30. Don't know why so long. Just is. So, I'm still in limbo.

Hope y'all are having a better day!

    Hello, Dear Owlettes!

Lurking but not posting.... brain not functioning well at all. Back to my walker again. Hoping this, too, shall pass!

On a positive note, we had rain - actual RAIN - last night. Such a sweet sound... and everything is fresh today.

Hugs and prayers to all who are sick, or just need them.

Sorry you're back to the walker Blessings. Hope you feel better soon, and are enjoying the rain.
I feel so bad complaining that I am cold in my office today, since so many of you are experiencing very cold weather.
I picked up my portable at home sleep study machine today. It's quite a contraption. The nurse was very adamant about telling me to make sure I don't start the machine by pushing the button until I know for sure I'm about ready to actually fall to sleep. She obviously has never suffered from insomnia. I always have every intention of falling asleep, and think I will...but, well you know how it goes. So tonight I'll try and make a good guess and push the button. I will get my results on a print out tomorrow. Just took a break to fix a cup of coffee. Since its 66 degrees and I'm freezing :)) Damn cold for Southern California.
Back to work for me...Hugs to all.

Yes Holeinone, I was waiting for results. They call me today. My CT of of the chest/abd/pelvis was normal with the exception of some radiation fibrosis in my left lung. There was no cancer or adenopathy seen. Woohoo!

Loved reading everything ad looking at pics and links. As for me, today I have nothing to contribute. Just achy and I'm assuming it's from the tamoxifen.

Back pain has flared, attributing that to tamoxifen also.

Getting ready for the holidays. Sorry I haven't been up to addressing everyone.

Wow we are having a steady light rain all day, coating the remaining leaves and branches with ice and the high only 30 degrees. Heard a loud crack and a huge tree branch just missed our house and hit the front steps and walk. Could have killed a person. Then as we are watching the news my husband jumps up - what was that! The Oak tree across the street (50-60ft high) split in half and came crashing down on our neighbors 2 cars. There is a fire truck out there... sucks to be them. I'm worried we have the same trees, same size city trees 3 of them... ugh. Just not over the drive way. The whole tree will need to come down.. so sad, beautiful old tree.

Stay warm everyone. The whole country is under a wintery blast! Love the cartoons and pictures.

    welcome newbies.

Got back home late Tuesday, only 9 pages behind! No pics of cruise yet, DH lost his cell phone on Cayman Island so will get pics from my Sister. Got him a new phone once back in Florida then an hour later a guy calls and says he found it. Is mailing it back to us. Don't know why he didn't let it at the service desk on ship. Loved all the snorkeling we did. I float very well. Probably will go again next year.

Update on DGS. He got SSI and a nice large check. Now waiting for word on SS.

Here's Bradley at 4 months. My great grand son.
