That's pretty darn funny! And yes nothing is funny without coffee.
Spookiesmom- I'm thinkin 'bout getting my ticket to see my Mom. Been a few years. So I will check prices and go visit. Keep all those storms off shore. We have enough rain here in Oregon to share with the whole country! How do we get around- back stroke!
Be well owlettes.
-
Rosevalley, please send the rain south to SoCal! We are in desperate need of it!
-

Morning. Rose, Southwest has a special going on.
Congrats Spookie.
Is 4sew lurking? Haven't heard from her. Wonder how her sx is working out.
Floors almost done, then the cleanup!!
-
OK I read every single post to ketchup, aha now I remember nothing well what I do remember I don't remember who said what. Except for Chevy cuz she takes up a whole page and says nothing. so it's easy to comment on her posts and I did recognize u'r feet ad shoes in that pic Chevy
GG Hawaii----E gads that's a real vacation, not like Chevy's hospital's stay. Have a great time
OHH ringing in the ears, do we all have this? That's why I always sleep with the TV on so I hear that instead of listening to that horrid sound.
I love the fun pics, keep them comng.
Sas I hope u'r doing OK or better at least.
-
Cammi! I think you sleep in my Orlando Daughter's bedroom.... Ha! Yes, she always has the TV on too! Her DH just must not notice.... but for some reason, she likes to have that noise, or something.
I don't hear a THING! When I take out my hearing aids out, I'm just gone!
I DON'T say nothing, do I? Well maybe sometimes.... But at least I am here, Ha!
And yes 222222222nd! I love your pictures, and we don't care what they say! How's that? That WAS funny anyway.... about the owl! Like I would care?
Hi Rose and Smarty! Where is your Mom Rosie?
-
hey ladies. So my ds and me are finally over that nasty virus. Yes ! It's a beautiful day outside and I am sitting on the swing, enjoying the sunshine and catching up on here. I had to take notes. Y'all are some busy ladies. My life is incredibly boring compared to you guys.
Susan - loved your furbaby pic
Chevy - love how you tell it like it is. Love the pics.
Rose - read about your dd. how awesome. Hats off to you.
Enerva - hope your sis new pills are working.
Gg - Hawaii bound ? Wow now that's a vacation. Have a blast.
Nettie - congrats on 30 year anniversary.
2nd - is your mom still in hospital. Wow you guys have had a hard time. Prayers for your family.
Blondie - don't know what to say about your gd. Only you don't need the stress. Too many families struggling with addiction and all the problems that go with it. Hope you are feeling great today.
SAS - dbf trouble. Ugh. Glad you kicked him out. How'd that for space. Plenty of good guys out there. Next. Hope your doing ok. Change is hard.
Mags - last chemo. Woohoo. Hope Kung functions are good results as well.
Tang - call the lady from church. Don't mess with Gods plan. Don't think about how it's going to go Just Do It - call. Who knows she may turn out to be a new best friend or just someone who can encourage you. Maybe she really needs your support. 40 is young. I am 43. You have your whole life ahead of you. The past is gone and you have taken the necessary treatment. Time to enjoy life.
Cami hope the big D is over. Can't have you missing parties.
Shout out to : paw print, hio, wren, Jwoo, spookie, smarty, Nettie , blessings , rose valley and anyone else I missed.
Hootie hoo
-
Peppermint! You are sooooo organized! I mean you talk to each of us gals! Glad you are feeling better!
It is beautiful here.... Spookie would probably be freezing, and running around with her fur boots, down-filled Parka, and her fur hat...... It's 80 here, and supposed to stay this way all week-end!
I'm just sorting out stuff, and doing nothing important, or significant..... Ha!
-
Patty...LOL that made me laugh...I will not mes with God's plan!
Hey, i've been noticing ringing in my ears too, i only really notice it in the morning after everyone is gone and I'm getting ready to start work. what is this??
muwah!
-
Tang, sounds like its silence! With the noise of getting ready in the morning, you hear that. When it's quiet, you hear the ringing? Patty's right, 40 is young. Go enjoy life!
Patty, so happy you and DS are feeling better! Big yay! thanks for thinking of everyone. Sorry to say Mom has taken a big turn for the worse. Let's just say she can't go back to assisted living and Dad can't bear to see her now in the state she's in (met him at the hospital Wednesday, been with him since to make sure he's eating, sleeping and staying hydrated). Waiting on a call from the hospital so I can go home, Dad won't take calls (good thing too, he's not hearing correctly and messes up the conversation).
Sorry, in my frame of mind, can relate to Cammi: can't remember what was posted and who posted. Maybe it's a contagious thing (like Ebola but not harmful?), I have it too.
-
oh 2nd. Your mom can't go back to assisted living and your dad isn't able to have her home alone with him. What's to happen ? Nursing home ? My heart is with you. You are being an awesome dd to your dad and mom. Does your dd understand all your going thru ? Hope our children are there for us when we get that age. Heck I just hope to live long enough to get that age.
My dh is away for the weekend hunting. My 2 ds are out of school today. We were going to all go to the cabin but it's a couple hours away and i chickened out for fear of pain. Dang pain is hard enuff at home where I have everything comfy. Riding to town and back is excruciating csnt se going a couple hours. Maybe next weekend. I am trying to be determined not to let pain control my life but seriously it's not mind over matter. Anyway it's slways good for spouses to get a break from each other. 23 years together sometimes makes it hard to find something new and exciting we both like. Nothing like a break for the heart to grow fonder. My 2 ds are well behaved but they know they can push me a lot further then they would ever think about pushing their dad. So they have been arguing with each other since school got out early yesterday. I put them outside to blow off some steam told them to work if out or fight it out either way come back in with a new attitude. No one is crying or bleeding so I guess they are working it out
Oh my another school shooting. What a scary world this is becoming. Our local elementary west side was one of the first school shootings way back in 1998. The shooters were so young 6th and 7th grade if I remember right. It's crazy that a lot of kids don't feel safe at school. When I was in school I never would have dreamed such a thing could happen. It is much more common now. Thinking of locking my ds's in seperate rooms until they are 18 to protect them but dh not going for that. Lol.
-
I don't know what I would do if my girls were school-age..... even my Grand-sons! I worry about them enough, driving everywhere.... and just being on their own!
That was funny, you talking about your girls arguing! Ha! It's funny, because I remember going through that too. Now they are all grown, and so close to each other....
I just remember one time when they were starting out on their own, and the oldest one threw the phone at her Sister....! Glad I didn't know about it until it was all over.... It's all trial and error.... and giving each other space.... but they grew up to be best trusted friends, not only Sisters.

This photo of a barred owl and a jack-o'-lantern was taken from Facebook.

-
Teka, I LOVE that! Did you ever watch the Owl family that was broadcast live streaming from San Diego? Molly and McGee! Me and thousands of others watched the eggs hatch, Molly & McGee feed them, and they they grew up, learned how to fly, and I loved the whole story!
Thanks for posting that!
-
-
No, but Thank You for the link.
-
2nd, Sorry about your mother's turn for the worse. At this point I pray for the best outcome for everyone. Don't know what that would be, but I'm not the one in charge. Hugs.
2nd, Loved the owl drawing post. I have a book about how to draw cats which is pretty much like that. When I draw a few circles it does not lead to me being able to draw the rest of the cat.

Pain, pain, pain. I just feel like my ribs are being crushed. I have something called Costochondritis, which is inflammation of the connective tissue of the ribs, and since the BMX it has been getting bad. At its worst it is like a heart attack, but right now it is just crushing. There is nothing that helps. Sometimes a hot pack will lift it a bit. Just hurting now.
-
I'm sorry Mags! Could they help you in the ER? How much longer can you take that pain? I think they could help you there.... give you something to help out with the pain!
-
Wish that were so, Chevy! There actually is no remedy for costo other than trying to make myself as comfortable as possible. I had a muscle relaxer and a glass of wine and it's calming down a bit, though still tight. And after my last trip to the ER you can imagine I'm not anxious to revisit. I've had this stuff for 6 years now, and it's literally a pain the the chest. I was told that chest surgery can aggravate it, and it seems that's so. Hadn't had an attack for 3 years until after mx.
But thanks!
-
Magdalene: I found this thread because I searched for rib pain. Today I was diagnosed with costrochondritis. I was given a 7 day Medrol Dospack of prednisone and pain meds. Hoping, because it is acute, that the steroids will help. -
mags. Hope you are comfortable now and are chilling at home My son had that after about of pneumonia. I took him to the dr twice and then the er. Couldn't believe what they were saying. The way he was is pain I thought for sure something was ruptured. Nope and the sad part as you said was pain med and heat and rest. I of course wanted an immediate fix for him but not so. Hate to hear you have had it more than once. Bless your heart. I also see your mx was pretty recent. Seems like my bilateral mx made my chest tight for over a year. Not really hurt just felt weird.
-
hey there anyone still up ? Blondie ?
It's quiet in here. Hope everyone is sleeping with sweet dreams. No pain , no hot flashes
-
hi patty, I'm sure there's others still up. The floors are done. I'll post a pic tomorrow.
Mags, sorry for the chest pains. I k ow its a real bummer when there's nothing that will help.
Everyone have a good weekend.
-

-
hi smarty yes floor pics please tomorrow.
Blondie - hey there. Thought you might be around. Dang it's not too much to ask for good sleep and good breathing, huh. So darn sorry. No choice there. Gotta breathe right. Hoping the prednisone kicks back in quickly. Wow both ds's of your and a gd pregnant. Sounds very exciting. Super glad the ultrasound went well for her. Must have been scary indeed at the Drs office. You got a lot to look forward to. Is it getting cold there yet ? Wondered if the weather was exaggerating breathing problems ? Thinking of you.
-
hey Blondie didn't you used to have your pic as your avatar ? Can't remember ?
