My hair is the same fine, blonde it's always been but curly which it's never been. It's not thick but it never was. I'm not getting a lot of growth in other areas of my body ... ?
-
My hair came back curly and frizzy. A lot of people don't know me, lol. My eyelashes have fallen out 4 times and eyebrows grew thinner at the same time. I am not taking a cancer pill. Decided that I wanted to live without pain and have energy. Still happy about my decision. I have very sharp pains in my breast quite often. Does anyone have this?
-
I do have some "funny" pains and my doctor told me " good radiation is still working " hmmm !! Mine usually stop is I stretch or go for a run !!! I also try to go braless to get some blood flowing through all that scar tissue !!!
-
still no val?
Everyone says my hair is so cute and I hate it!!! It was down my back and now it's cruly and has a mind of its own!!!! Been over a year since chemo and I'm not the same leg and feet pain. My eyebrow just fell out again and still wear eyelashes

hi everyone.. I am so touched to read all your messages .. Everyone wondering about me .. So sorry that I haven't been well enough to respond.. But I'm still here boxing gloves on.. Fighting with every bit of energy that I have ... My bc has spread to my lymph nodes in my neck and chest .. I've been doing chemo 3 weeks on and one week off since august .. Had a ct scan 2 weeks ago .. Not good news.. It's not working .. So Wednesday I started a new chemo vinorelbine .. 2 weeks on 1 week off .. I have amazing support from my family and friends ... I don't have the courage to tell my 18 year old son how sick I am.. But will have to soon.. This is it .. My last resort .. I appreciate all the support from all of you!! Should of logged on a long time ago to read all your messages.. I feel the love from all of you.. I pray and hope that all of you are doing amazing and have moved forward with your life .. Sending all of you my love xox

Val,
Glad you are strong enough to reply. I wish you had better news and I am praying that your new chemo is the cure. Don't hold back from your son. He will never have another chance to spend time with you, even if you live forever, you can get back wasted days. Let him dote on you every day. You and he surely deserve it. Check in whenever you can and keep fighting wicked hard.
Tracy

Glad to hear from you Val but very sorry with what has been happening to you. Your son needs to know how sick you are so that he can deal with it in his own way. I think it will be another wonderful support for you. I am praying for you, your family and your doctors. We want to help you with this fight if we can. Netter

June Ladies that did chemo first - when do you start feeling better. I'm still so sore in my muscles and I feel the neuropathy in my hands and feet keep getting worse. I had TCHP and my last chemo was 10/29 and I'm having a BMx with TEs on Tues. BTW - anything I must get to help with the recovery. Really freaking out about that. Thought my MIL was bringing a marsupial drain pouch belt, NOPE, just 1 hand made pouch by a lady from her church. Very nice... but.... too late or order the belt now. I'm thinking of clearing a path to my sewing machine and trying to concoct something.
-
the easiest way is just put on a fluffy or not bathrobe and put the drains in the pocket my plastic surgeon gave me this belt with four pouches hanging off so ask them!! But the belt around my waist annoyed me!! So I bought a lightweight robe and heavy fluffy one got as a gift for days of being chilly. As far as the drains empty them once a day after showering and if possible have someone do it for you much better to sit back and let someone else help!!! Good luck I'm going for my last procedure on Dec 11 for the areola's.
-
one year and three months later and I still have neuropathy just a FYI in the morning my feet don't work right away
-
I feel pretty good .... or maybe I just keep pushing cuz I want to be back to normal me. I feel better then I did a year ago but not at all like 2 years ago
For me the se from radiation is worse , frozen shoulder and tendinitis !!! Try massage for the neuropathy and sore muscles !!! Val - keeping you in my thoughts and prayers !!!
And yes so very thankful for everyday is a gift I try to unwrap with great care
-

Merry Christmas and a Happy healthy new year !!! Every day is a gift , I unwrap it with great care and enjoy every moment given to me to make memories with my loved ones
-
Hi all !! Haven't been here in a while but I remember many of the names. I was feeling crummy and came on to see if many of you are still dealing with the effects of all the treatments. I never used to get sick but this winter I have had at least 4 bad colds. My shoulder still hurts, I still have nueropothy and I usually feel quite achy. But I see that many of you are dealing with the same issues so I guess that is just par for the course.
Other than that things are great!!!
-
kmurphy: Have you tried exercising? Yoga? pilates? I have been on yoga and pilates and I havent had those side effects. I have changed my diet (aryuvedic... I try to) and visit my homeopath. Acupuncture as well. Maybe if you try something like this may help
My lashes wanted to fall again! I started using MDlash which really helps. My worse SE is my arm (surgery) that is getting better... very slowly but better anyway. And, sometimes, frustration... We need to be patient... it is very hard but we must work on it.
cyberhugs!
-
I have not done an exercise program of any sort but I according to my activity tracker, I average 8 or more miles a day at work (I am a restaurant manager). I also think that part of it is exactly what you said....frustration. It feels like the recovery process takes sooooooooooo long!!!
-
I think exercise gives some peace. I think about something else, it is also a challenge and makes me happy. I feel more strength now. So it helps to deal with my frustration.
-
Happy spring ladies! ! I have realized time flies even you dont have fun...... can't believe its been 2 years since this crazy journey began. I wasn't diagnosed til may but it started with a yearly check up in march 2013....... Hope everyone are enjoying there life's! !!

Hello! Yes, time flies!!!! I am on my annual check ups. I had a bone scan and will have an additional MRI. Of course I am very concern... so I just hope everything goes well... at least the breast ultrasound is normal.
Have a great week!!!
-
Hello,
