    Hi all, just checking in.   This is my "off week from A/C.  I have my third on Monday.  Feeling pretty good.   Took a drive with hubby today.  Leaves are beautiful.  Stopped at a farm stand then home to make squash soup.   Yummy!  If any of you did taxol after A/C how did those sides compare?  Love, Jean

    Ah, Blondie.....wish things were different for you.....hugs friend...

    Zjrose/Jean, yes, I had A/C & then Taxol. I thought Taxol was easy compared to A/C. ( horrid red devil ). I did have bone pain with Taxol, but still a cake walk compared to A/C....I did both dose dense, so only had 4 infusions of each. I am guessing you will get it weekly, for 12 weeks? 

    Patty, I think Jwoo emailed her..I think she said she was ok. Sorry you are hurting...Pain is so exhausting....

    got back very late last night from Detroit through Chicago. Hour delay, not bad considering. Still tired but will catch up tonight.

    We went to a sewing expo. This friend taught and had a booth to sell her book she just finished in August.

    This friend entered a Passion for Fashion contest and won first place out of 11 contestant. This was her second attempt. They don't know what they will be making until Friday morning, then they have a day and a half to make their outfit. This year was a creative wedding dress based on a theme they chose. She pick masquerade. She was given black lace and the beige under fabric you see. This is a mini halter dress with a draping attached train and a hooded cape from netting. She even did the makeup mask on the model. Ruth is standing at the back, then dancing with her after she found out she won.

    hi ladies, here I am lol 

    Sorry I was gone for a wile I got a new part time job as a real estate sales Rep lol so I have been busy training and I report to my full time job this coming Monday lol yes it's crazy. Anyway I managed to go to a dirt bike event last Saturday admit was fantastic lol very crazy challenging ;) 

    I will try to go back and read a few pages I am sending you all hugs. My pain improved I ll say 80% sobi am great.

    OMD------------so glad Spookie came up with OH MY DOG-OMD. well then I guess we should do OMC OH MY CAT. Either way like them. Less VALLEY......

    Smarrty---I thought you were into quilts? Fashion clothes? Were you at ____OMD can't think the thingy downtown Detroit. I grew up there.  Found it(memory flash)--Cobo hall? Hmmm no clue why they called it Cobo Hall........Had to do with a mayor I think. It was the big and still is the convention center.

    Was right there at the end of Woodard when the riot of 1967 started.

    At the end of Woodward, a car drew up to our side and was threatening . Four black guys in doo rags.  I said something to them---I don't remember the words. But they drove on.  Must have been good b/c they drove on. Four of use, out to dinner. Clueless. Great dinner. Waiter said "Ya'll be careful  now." I thought that strange. Then driving on the John Lodge Expessway, we saw fires, we saw people. We decided to take a long way expressway route. Got back to Grand River and Fenkel.  Found out there was a riot.

    The parents had all been in contact. Detroit was in distress for the next couple weeks.  It was a mess.

    Edit: Detroit was one of the worst places to be in the changing times of 60's, pre and post. Had there not been such discrimination of black, white, hill, melting pot. Now our living together is common, but then folks delineated by the street you lived on. The car that sided us that night, they were looking for a fight. What I said--Dunno. What they saw was four teenagers dressed up--obviously on a date.

    Smarrty, so, hope you found my dear Detroit in much better straights :)        (yes, I know it's in trouble, but they keep trying)

    sass, yes I do quilts, also clothes, not as much right now since I can buy stuff that fits me now.  We flew in and out of Detroit.  The convention hall was in Novi.

    De Tocquiville in "On America" in 1851, described America as a throw away society. What he didn't identify is the inventiveness .That's why things were thrown away. We found better ways of doing things.

    The second thing that De'T  documented was "Americans if they don't agree with a law simply don't follow it"

    How does his  thoughts apply here................That's us.............too many ways to describe, but Americans truly are a PITA

    We as BC people don't accept the status quo. We have the internet, we can walk into any docs office and say...........

    This is DH and both Grand-sons...  I cropped myself right out of this thing!  I wish there were some way of saying to the "crop" feature, "Can you please take off about 20 pounds from the one in red?"

    And so here we were in Old Town Orlando, for the Old Car show, shopping and I, of course spotted these to add to my collection!  I figured they went well with the brass pole and all!

    We had a great trip.... no drama, just a lot of fun and running around...  THEN going back to the airport,  DD thought it would be helpful, if I acted really old and feeble and all, and she thought the cane wouldn't quite DO it, so she requested a wheelchair for Dear Mom... which is me.

    So here we all go, wheeling down EVERYwhere, and then we picked up a "helper" for "old people" and she took over.  THEN we got to board the plane first!   So then after we LANDED, there was this gal waiting for me with yet ANOTHER wheel-chair!  I COULD have done all of that walking myself... but I got in, pretending to be even more lame than I am, and she wheeled me, and took us ALL down through DIA, to baggage claim, and we had DD's friend waiting for us at the curb!  

    WoW!   So now we are home, got everything un-packed, in the washer, and trying to act normal once again...

    So that brings me to the question, where is Cammi?  Has she taken a hike?  What's WRONG with that girl?

     I'll go back and read what y'all wrote, and look at the pictures again....  What's this with ENERVA out on her bike?  Is she doing TRICKS now?  And being not careful?    I mean is she hill-climbing on a dirt-bike?

    Hi Mommy!  She was our Sheltie!  So beautiful!  We lost her this past February.... I mean we didn't "lose" her, but she just started going downhill, and we helped her out the only way we could.... still heart-broken...  Don't even want to think about re-placing her yet....  I guess it's just me....  but..... you know....

    We had a 57 that color when first married! Where were all those Crocs? Olde Town? I can't find a Croc store here.

    Spookers!  NOTHING was easy for me on their lap-top....Ha!  The Croc store was at the Outlet mall?  It was somewhere.... off of some highway!  But I can find the best ones online.... try that.

    Good Morning all, 

    Chevy, I love the montage of photos. Your DDs are the best. Great photo of DH & GSs. 

    Arrrg, already grumpy with the pink bc crap....I am going to have to tune it out, ignore it. 

    Big day for me yesterday. I played tennis ( indoor ) for the first time since April of 2013. I played 2-3 days a week for years, was a big part of my life. My feet actually moved, I did not fall over ! Of course, I am sore today, shoulders hurt, but it was wonderful to be back on the court. 

    Envera, wow, you are a super-star. Those bikes scare the beejeebees out of me. Looks like you are getting back to life.
