INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Good morning, insomniacs. In spite of the loading up of steroids the past couple of days, I slept like a rock last night. Couldn't keep my eyes open past 10, and up drinking coffee this morning. Cami and Chevy, you guys crack me up. To be honest, I don't look back on my childhood with nostalgia, it was a truly dysfunctional family situation, and I don't think any of us was happy, and there were a bunch of us. 3 older, 2 younger than I, dad at sea most of the early years, 18 years between the oldest and the youngest. Well, water under the bridge I guess. Now I am spoiled rotten by my sweet DH and my dear cousin, who doubles as my cook, laundry lady, and personal shopper. (Doubles? Quadruples?) and I take shameful advantage of them, I confess.
Well, I hope everyone gets rest if you need it. I don't have to tell you to not sleep the day away, though, do I? Haha.
-
Well chit! I just checked TWC for tomorrow. 90% chance of HEAVY thunderstorms tomorrow!!!!! Sure hope that patio is covered at Columbia. Do they allow smoking on it?
-
Now that I am back from the oncologist's office and picking up a med for a problem that has occured because of the treatments, i am taking it easy!
-
Mommof2, I say spoil yourself as much as needed.
Blessings & Paws, OMG !!!!!! You two are hanging out in PARADISE.....Love Laguna. As teenagers, we would fill the car up, head down there, walk the beach & go to the Sawdust Art Festival. Of course we could not actually buy anything. We just spent all our money on gas & In n Out burgers. I dreamed one day I would own a place....well we know that hasn't happened. It's been 13 years since I have been there.

Holeinone - LOVE IT!!!
We only get to live in Laguna twice a year - for a week at a time. Our little timeshare is right across from Heisler Park, and our upstairs room has wall-to-wall windows. Our dining table overlooks the park and the ocean, and if we're lucky, we can watch whales passing by and dolphins playing in the surf.
We don't love it so much in the summer, though.... WAY too many people!
-
Trying to catch up with everyone! Just wanted to say, just came back from my checkup with the surgeon, he released me for one year!! He is the one who orders and monitors my mammos!! Mammo was clear, physical exam was good!! Guess now I'll have to wait and see how angry the MO gets because I haven't started on the Tamoxifen, I see him Nov 4!! I guess I'll try to start it before then, but dang, I have a vacaction scheduled and I don't want to be "down" during that time! We'll see, maybe I'll just take it the two weeks prior to the appointment and see how I do!!
Hope you gals enjoy yourself in florida!! and cami it's nice that you are back posting even though Chevy harasses you!! I love the fun!!
-
Wait that should say even though you two harass each other!! I know it's all in love!
-
Yes, we do love each other... just like sisters! So I love teasing her...Ha!
I'll see you tomorrow Spookie and Sassy! 12:30.... okay? That's at the Columbia in Celebration!
This is not easy on a lap-top....!
-
Spookie, I plan on leaving at 11;15. I think we are just about the same distance. Call me at 10:45. We'll make a final decisions on the dogs. Schatzi gets stressed by storms. Hides even with a thunder shirt on. She would be an anxiety mess. Would ruin the visit. The Columbia' outdoor seating is two tables wide with an aisle. If the wind is blowing even the slightest, we'd be wet.We are drenched here. Even some areas are flooded. Ready for sunshine. We did have red skies tonight at sunset. Let's hope the saying stays true. Talk to you in am?
Oh Chevy, Hi, LOL playin with you. !2:30 Columbia in Celebration
-
Yes Sass! Hope the weather is okay.... talk to you then. It's nice here right now...xoxo
-
thought I'd be further behind, got into Detroit last night. We're ready for the sewing show. The two ladies I'm with will teach an all day class and another and I will be going shopping.
Great weatherm balmy in the 70s. And I don't have to worry about wasting water!
-
I was planning on leaving about 10ish Takes forever t get through Tampa, Malfunction Junction. Send this damn rain out West! I'm over it!
-
Just checked their weather. 90% chance afternoon showers, same as me.
-
Spookie, Okay, Call me 15 minutes before you go out the door or 1/2 hour. Predicted 82-83 temp, with 90% humidity and storms. We should just give it up and leave the animals home. Disappointing, but practical, all the way around. -
Make sure u take pix

Oh, I really can't wait to see the pics of you three! I hope the weather isn't so bad that it ruins the visit!!Good Morning to all!!
-
Yay! Zen time for me! Finished my housework early and now I have nothing to do!
-
M0mmyof2, housework? What is that?
Sassy, Chevy, Spookiesmom, have a wonderful visit!
-
lol
Just my day to day "occupy myself with something to do or I go nuts" stuff
-
I am excited to see pictures of you three. Have a great visit.
-
Holeinone, I love the Laguna Beach pic. Sounds like you had fun times visiting the sawdust festival and eating in-n-out burgers with your family. Not too many of us can afford to buy the hand crafted art at the Sawdust festival, but always fun to look. There are lots of little unique shops all along Pacific Coast Highway. You'll have to come visit again sometime.
Chevy, Spookiesmom, Sas....you gals party on today. Post a pic. Hope your weather holds out for you. Have fun

-
Chevy will be the one dragging the Stripper Pole behind her.... hard to miss... (oh, wait - did I say that out loud?)
~ ~ ~
Kaiser sent me a message.... the results are in .... and it's...... SLEEP APNEA!!!! Get to go attend a class and pick up a loaner unit to use for a week, to figure out the best settings.
I am so tired of waking up exhausted and in pain. DH got his machine, and it has improved his life by 1,000%. I want that.
~ ~ ~
Happy Thursday, Owlettes!!!
xoxoxoxoxo
-

I don't think I can post. I put ios8 on here, can't do pics anymore. Have contacted mods, BCO needs to upgrade.
We had a blast. CHEVY and her DDs are soooooo sweet. The food was wonderful. We left the dogs home, I never saw rain. I think SAS did
-
We had so much fun! Those 2 gals are just the best! We've "talked" for maybe 2 years, but never met.... I'm so happy we DID finally!
Gotta tell you! DGS came OVER! Just made my day....!!!! Both Grand-sons are doing well! Couldn't be happier!
I'll post the pics as soon as DD uploads them, or whatever she does to post them here......
